Nice site, good showers and toilets. Good shop and bar.
Limited vegetarian food. Weak wi-fi. Some more entertainment would make a big difference.
Private beach. Close to Portland and Dorchester.

Well organised, well equipped campsite which is very popular with families. Very good facilities which are kept in good order. Very good access to the coastal path to Weymouth.
Only issue I had (apart from a constantly yapping dog somewhere) was a very bad mobile signal. This, in itself, is no problem but the camp wifi was non existent or erratic at best. This was the only thing that spoiled my break there.
But, apart from that the facilities and location were great. The only slight niggle was being initially given a pitch which was wet and my wheels sunk into the grass and I nearly had to get my mud grippers out to escape However, the site manager sorted me out with a new pitch very quickly and all was well.

Smooth and easy check in, great site. Pitch was slightly sloped but nothing that caused any concern or discomfort.
On site pub had a lovely atmosphere, festival foods vans were well received on those nights you don’t fancy cooking! Coastal path in either direction was pleasant.
Overall location was good, plenty to do and lots accessible in the nearby vicinity with a car. Staff were happy and pleasant.
A great site for singles, couples and families. Very enjoyable.

Good traditional family site, easy check in and access down a lane with plenty of passing places. Some pitches have lovely views of The Fleet, Chisel beach and the sea.
Mixture of pitch types including fully serviced, grass or hard standing. Reasonable Wi-Fi and TV signal. Excellent toilet facilities and fully stocked shop with camping and Caravan accessories.
Lovely on site bar along with catering vans.
Excellent children's area with climbing frames etc and at the top of the site a separate play area with goal posts and a dog walking.
Direct access to coastal path and the Fleet.

Absolutely brilliant camp site with wonderful facilities. Everything is really well run and so clean.
We took a dog and had some lovely walks across the beaches nearby and some great places for a child to play.
Really nice pub and shop on site.
We will definitely be going back.

We have been home now for almost 2 weeks, and it’s taken me all this time to write a review of this site because I had such mixed views of it, I wanted to take more time to think in retrospect before writing what is hopefully an objective review.
When we arrived at East fleet farm we were met by a very friendly member of staff. The check-in was smooth and effortless and done in the car because of Covid. We were told which pitch we were on and directed where to go to locate it. When we arrived at our pitch, the first thing I noticed was that it was on a very steep side to side slope.
I got out our trusty Milenco triple leveller and we used the motor mover to begin to raise the caravan on one side. However we quickly discovered that the ground was extremely soft and as we drove the caravan up the leveller the leveller was sinking down into the ground.
This probably explained the giant holes that were on our pitch before we arrived, I think the previous occupants had also had trouble getting level and the holes left were caused by their level embedding itself into the very soft ground. We tried for a few minutes but unfortunately because the level was sinking so much into the ground it eventually cracked and became unusable (despite the fact that these Milenco levels are supposed to be virtually indestructible).
We realised that there was absolutely no way we could get our caravan level on this pitch, so we went back to see the friendly lady at reception. She was really excellent and spent a lot of time reorganising pitches to enable us to move to a different one.
The new pitch was slightly better, in the fact that it was not quite as sloping as the original, however the ground was just soft and we were still left with the dilemma of how to level the caravan. We began by driving the caravan onto a 1 inch plank. This plank sank completely into the ground. We moved the caravan off it and placed another 1 inch plank on top. On driving up onto it, both planks completely depressed into the ground. We moved off again and put a 2 inch plank on top of the two 1 inch and this time we managed to get the van lifted a little.
It wasn’t completely level but this was the best we could do with the equipment that we had and the condition of the ground. We set up our awning and got settled in for the fortnight. However, there was very heavy rain while we were there and this rain turned the awning into a quagmire.
So, our experience of the pitches at this site is very poor, and I would never return to this site if the only available option was a grass pitch. However the hardstanding pitches looked much better, and although most of them still required levellers, at least the levellers won’t sink into a hardstanding.
My overall score of 6 out of ten is largely based on this awful experience with the grass pitches.
So, that’s the negative bits of the review over - the really awful grass pitches. Now onto the more positive aspects of the site.
The site is very easy to find with good road access, as long as you travel via Dorchester and along the Weymouth relief road, don’t under any circumstances try to use the B road that goes through Abbotsbury as this is completely unsuitable for towing due to a very tight narrow bend going through the village of Abbotsbury.
The facilities on site are very good. In the part of the site where we were there were two toilet blocks side-by-side, one older and one newer. The newer one had a shower, toilet and wash basin in individual little bathrooms. There were about eight of these in the ladies side and I assume a similar number in the gents. However these were very popular and there were often queues for these little individual bathrooms.
The older block was more traditional with one side having about 15 toilets and the other side about 15 showers. Although this side was rather dated, I preferred it as you never had to queue and there was plenty of space.
Both blocks were kept spotlessly clean and there was regular cleaning and checks throughout the day, so I felt very confident in terms of Covid cleanliness.
There were also plenty of dishwashing sinks and a laundry room with four washing machines and four tumble dryers.
The site also has an excellent Caravan accessory shop that stocks pretty much anything you could need for your caravan and a small range of food stock, mainly the essentials such as milk and breakfast items like bacon and sausage.
There are three takeaway vans on site. One operates in the mornings, selling breakfast bap‘s and the other two seem to alternate in the evenings, one selling fish and chips, and the other doing pizza. We didn’t use any of them but they seemed popular.
The site also has a bar which looked nice, but we didn’t go in as I’m still too nervous about Covid due to my health conditions.
We really enjoyed the area, there was a lot to do and lots of lovely walks. We had a different walk every day along different parts of the coast path and inland and really enjoyed the area. Weymouth was also a lovely town to visit with an excellent 3 or 4 mile promenade which gives a nice flat walk.
All the usual shops that you might need are available in Weymouth including a Sainsbury’s Morrison’s and Asda supermarket. We really enjoyed the little village of Abbotsbury which is only a few miles away.
There were some lovely walks around the village and up to a little chapel on the hillside. The subtropical gardens in the village were also amazing and the old schoolhouse tearoom was really excellent for lunch (or morning coffee or afternoon tea) serving the most delicious Dorset apple cake that I’ve ever tasted!
I hope I’ve been objective in this review, it’s taken a long time to write because our experiences were so mixed. If we had been given a nice flat hardstanding pitch we probably would have loved this site and would have had nothing but positive things to say, however the really awful sloping boggy grass pitches spoiled our time here and really shouldn’t be used for caravans.

Really well thought out during this uncertain time, pitch allocated to you on arrival.
The shw/wc blks were cleaned at least twice a day and were spotless. Good shop with a good selection of camping items and basic groceries
There is take away food opening at various times and a bar which we did not use but looked very good.
Child friendly site with play area. The coastal path ran along side the site ideal for a short stroll or longer if required.
Good views over the lagoon from certain areas of the site. Hardstanding and grass pitches some are fully serviced. A few had a slight slope.
Being retired we don't usually go for this this type of site but we were pleasantly surprised a very good site and we would consider going back.

Just stunning at this time of year. The views are incredible. Even though the park was busy it was extremely quiet. Found a couple of good dog walks, becareful though, the paths are very narrow so not a lot of passing room when walking with your dog.
Beautifully maintained site.
Watch the entrance Fleet Lane it is very tight so do not get there till your alloted time. Some mahoosive speed humps too
We loved every minute and would go again. Not sure what it's like in the school holidays

Pros;
Lovely clean comfortable toilets and showers, one of the best we have seen for quite a while. Flat pitches. Lovely views of the estuary and surrounding countryside. Easy access to the coast footpath. Close to local shops.
Near Weymouth.
Cons;
Access to the site via the housing estate very tight, parked cars both sides of the road. Pitches very close to each other and need some maintenance on both the grass and hardstanding. All a bit tatty.
Very loud music late into the nights from one of the nearby tents. No one available to ask them to be considerate, second word was "off" when we attempted to politely ask them to turn it down. Wouldn't return.
