At first on the road in I thought the access wasn't the greatest, but it was worth the 2 mile journey through the single track road, when we arrived we were greeted by the owner who was very pleasant and couldn't do enough to help. This camp is a breath of fresh air, 8 miles from bude, just over 2 miles to kilkampton, which is a charming little village, which boasts local pubs, fish and chips, post office, two shops selling locally produced goods, 2 other takeaways offer their wares if you don't fancy cooking.
Back to the camp, well peace quiet and tranquility, a well kept camp, clean, tidy, good facilities with some amazing features, such as a lovely little stream which runs at the bottom of the camp in amongst a small wooded area, this is where the owner has practically thought of everything to make your stay enjoyable, in amongst the trees he has cleverly put a number of fire pits in which logs are available for from the owner, these fire pits can be used for bbqs and cooking and a heat proof glove is supplied, also they have placed hammocks between the trees which is great for lazing the day away.
Showers are clean and hot, games room table tennis and snooker. If your looking for a good clean friendly camp with a rural location and peace and quiet this place is got to be top of your list, I will definitely be visiting this site again.

Just got back from a great week at woodview campsite. We stayed in the static van, but we used the showers in the block, these were spotless. If you want peace and quiet this is the site for you. The owners were very nice people. The site is in a good area to visit a lot of places around. If you miss the first sign don't worry there is three ways to get to the site. The site is very clean and tidy.

I can`t understand why we had this place to ourselves all weekend. Very good facilities, just ask for the hot water to be turned on if no one else is there. The site is unusual in that you pitch along the level hard standing in line with each other. This does work because the grass is good to drive on. This method of parking allows everyone an excellent view across the valley and the facilities are all behind you. The awnings go on the grass if you choose to use one and there is a slope away from the `vans. The camp fire and picnic area along the stream is rather neat. Games and TV room is in the ex farm barns. WiFi is BT with fair reception. Mobile `phone is very limited but I believe Vodaphone works. 02, Tesco, 3 do not.
Visit Hartland Quay for fantastic scenery and a good pub on the quay with parking making it easy for the less able to get down to it when quiet. The newly planted trees will give the site some form eventually, currently it is a little devoid of trees. 10 minutes to Bude and similar to Clovelly. Coming down the A39 from Bideford the site is on the left side of the A39 past a dog hotel, through a farm yard that straddles the lane and just a few hundred yards on on the left side. Coming from the Bude side on the A39, the site lane is on the right but the lane that is signposted has a nasty left uphill turn for `vans over 12 feet. Better to go for the second right after the signposted one and use the same lane past the luxury dog hotel. This lane is pretty level, has passing places and appears to be quiet. No traffic noise to bother anyone on site. The site signs are GREEN not brown so watch for them.

What a great site. Good facilities for all types of campers - lots of space and the indoor facilities are superb for inclement days.
Very friendly and helpful management - the site has only been open a few months but everything has been done to a high level of though and planning. The plans for the future will make the site one of the best.
The firepits next to the river are especially good - adding a great ambience to long summer evenings.
There is no shop on site but a large supermarket just 5 mins away.

Have just spent a really great weekend at this really lovely site. It is situated in a very quiet rural area on the border of Devon and Cornwall near beaches or the moors and is good for exploring the very beautiful area.
The owners are very friendly and helpful, the site very well laid out with ample electric hook ups and water points, there are a couple of areas where you can have campfires.
There are only 2 toilets\showers in each of the ladies and men's but they are very high standard with plenty of hot water and hair dryers which are free and have under floor heating, which is great if the weather is cold.
There is also an indoor play area with football, table tennis, air hockey, tv, pool etc. To keep the kids happy.
It is a dog friendly site with woodlands just across the road where you can exercise them. We will definitely be going back.

We have just stayed 4 days on this newly opened campsite and all of us found it a fantastic place as it is in a quiet countryside with beaches being so near.
There is a nice and clean shower-toilet block as well as this campsite is a dog friendly. Kids loved the open swimming pool in Bude and the indoor game room in the evenings on the campsite and we enjoyed every minute there.
Also we had some nice coastal walks to Widemouth Bay. Thank you very much from me, my husband and our 3 boys!
