What a fantastic site! Spent a week here and what a great one. You come into the site with statics at the top, moving down to what look like seasonal pitches for caravans (many of the awnings are screwed down and they have direct services).
The camping pitches are at the bottom in two smallish fields, divided by a small hedge. The children's play area which is fenced round and contains a climbing frame, slide and swings is more than adequate for the children who descended upon it!
The new shower / toilet / launderette / dishwashing block is fabulous. Beware the water at the dishwashing though as it sprays out and tends to soak you - the water could do with being hotter too. The two family bathrooms are a fabulous asset however they would benefit from hooks and a bench to put things.
The site would also benefit from having a proper shop. We didn't attempt to walk into the village of Woodbury however, it's a very short drive and the Maltsters Pub serves great food, as does the more expensive but fine food at The Green Door.
We didn't visit the sister site at Ladram Bay so unable to comment about the facilities which could be used there. All in all a great site and we would love to return.

Just come back from spending two nights here it is a nice site toilet block is very good used the family bathroom mostly as we had our 18 month old with us always had hot water and was reasonably clean. The playground was good for our ten yr old but not really suited to little children. Had a takeaway from the clubhouse the first night very reasonable prices and tasty food.
Sadly our pitch let the site down a bit for us, it could not be described as level at all, sloped in two directions which made it very difficult to get a good nights sleep as we were fighting to stay on our bed! Hubby also thought the road noise was a bit much considering we where on a very narrow road going through a quiet village.
Sorry to say we will not be going back.

My family and I stayed here recently and despite an early mix up over a pitch we had been promised, had a great time. It was ideally positioned for both Exeter and Exmouth. The staff were friendly, the kids loved the play area and the toilet / shower blocks were warm, plentiful and clean. We ate at the restaurant one evening and although the decor was a little dated the food was lovely and well priced. We would definitely stay here again.

This was the second time we visited this site. We were put on the main site for three days then moved to the field near the opening for the last 4 days.
The staff were very helpful and found a large extension lead to plug us in.
The disabled toilets were brilliant, best I've seen yet.
There is a restaurant on the site which also sold various items that we needed.
The drive to Exmouth was easy, depending on the route.
Great value for money.

We stayed here whilst visiting Woodbury Park (10-15 mins walk) and found the facilities to be a little old, but very clean and well maintained. Prices were fair given the time of year, and that showed because there were quite a few people here. The site has a bar / restaurant but I cannot comment on this. Woodbury village is about 20 minutes walk (and about 30 coming back!) and has shops, pubs and a bus service to Topsham and Exeter.
A great site for those who love walking or mountain biking, Woodbury Common and it's numerous trails and wooded areas are almost on your doorstep.

This was our 1st camping trip and we enjoyed even if the weather was horrendous. The site was very nice on 1st glance, we originally got put on a pitch that was right near the entrance right by the roadside with a big gap in the fence, which wasn't safe with our kids so we asked if we could be moved. They said there was over flow field we could go in to so we had a look and it was a lot safer, also right next to the play area which was great for the children.
The pitch was good fairly flat, it was lovely a quiet down here. The toilets were a bit of a walk but not a concern, I think they are putting toilets down there next season. The pub was nice and quaint, family showers were superb and good facilities.
All in all a good campsite would recommend and I would go again.

This is our second second stay here and it will not be our last. The first time we visited it rained and rained. This time we had great weather. My two children were looking forward to using the play area but it was closed for Maintenance. It looks a great park for kids.
The site is spotless. The toilets are a converted static van, basic but very clean and more than up to the job. The bar and restaurant is great, just stroll over for a pint and a meal after a long day with the kids. The pitches are big which is a great thing as I hate these sites that try and cram as many in as they can. There is plenty of room in the field for the kids to run around and burn of a bit of steam while you sit by the BBQ with a pint and watch them.
There was only one down side to our visit which was some thoughtless people that had 2 small dogs which should have been kept on a lead at all times and not let off their pitch to pester other campers while they are eating there food, Or to let their dogs have a big job right next to our van while we were eating and not clean it up (twice).
Another good point, when I informed the site owners they acted straight away. To sum up this is a beautiful site and we will be returning even after the thoughtless dog owners incident.

This is one of the best sites we have ever used, friendly, helpful staff, nothing too much for them. The toilet/shower blocks are kept immaculate as is the whole site. Woodbury common is a short 5min stroll away where you can enjoy magical walks all over the common, there is Nigel Mansell's world of motor racing/golf course 5mins up the road. The bar on site is great and with the addition of outside caterers the food is both good and reasonably priced. Exmouth is apx 15min drive away while Exeter is 30 Min's away. A walk down the road to Woodbury itself and you find a well stocked shop and two pub/restaurants. If I had to find any fault with the site is that I wanted to stay there forever.

We stayed at this site for 6 months on & off before moving to the area. The Owners are very helpful & the bar/restaurant facility more than handy. The nearby village has a couple of decent Pubs with good bar food - chippy also.
The best bit is staying on the edge of a nature reserve & the views are stunning - walks from the site are excellent. Mansells nearby golf course is OK too - 9 hole Pay & Play + 18 hole championship -
Great base for exploring a very attractive part of devon ie the world. - unfortunately, no shop on site.
