This is a great, newly refurbished site.
Location
Stunning views over Holy Island and a great base for exploring the area. Closest site to the causeway.
Facilities
On site there is a cafe, gift shop and restaurant - all of very good quality, with nice outdoor seating. Only one shower and toilet for each sex but they were of a very high standard.
Great site!

We loved the peace of this campsite and it's proximity to Holy island. There were great views across the sea.
The cafe is very good, with free wifi and yummy cake. We had an evening meal (Fri and Sat only) and the food was superb - not cheap but worth it. Staff were all cheerful and helpful.
It isn't really a campsite as such, more somewhere with a bathroom that you can pay to park (£15 a night when we were there, which is relatively expensive considering the facilities provided. ) We parked in the coach park for the time we were there. There is no hookup. The water is in the adjacent car park from the sink taps which are not shaped to make attaching a hose easy. We didn't use black water disposal after finding out it was under a manhole cover in the floor that need tools to lift.
The bathroom was great when the site was sparsely populated but would be a problem in high season, the heating was intermittent when we were there but the water was piping hot.
It could do with a non slip mat in the shower area.
We arrived back at 18:45 one evening and discovered the gates to the whole place were shut. We worked out how to open them in the darkness, but it was a bit disconcerting.

Beautifully situated site (Lindisfarne causeway is only 2 fields away!) and fantastic views to get up to. Plus easy to find/access other areas.
As others have commented. The shower/toilets are an issue. To the point it would put me off returning if not sorted out. We stayed for 3 nights and as there were more than 10 tents (most with children) the showers/toilets were rarely free/without a queue. Even at 5. 30 one morning I ended up using the mens'! I really hope they do sort this out as I would love to go back!
Nice play area if you do go with children!

Beautiful scenery overlooking Holy Island. Small site but with plenty of room-you park your car on the car park behind the site but only 50yds to carry your kit. Only one male and one female toilet/shower which may prove a problem when site is full. Lots of hot water and the showers are free. The setting is the draw for this site being only 1 mile to the causeway. The site is situated in the grounds of a café-which looked lovely but we didn't eat there so cannot comment on the food.

We had a lovely holiday here with friends. The location is beautiful and peaceful, and we had some great days out exploring castles, beautiful beaches and a trip to the Farne Islands.
The toilet / showers are a real issue - they really need to put some separate WCs in as the facilities were not sufficient when busy. They also need to clean them thoroughly at least once or twice a day as they are in constant use.
The restaurant is lovely, and contrary to an earlier review they will freeze your ice packs for you in their catering freezers so they come out properly frozen.
We booked at last years prices and think that this represented good value for money, but I do not feel that the facilities warrant pitch fees of over £20 a night which they are asking now for a mum and son in a six man tunnel tent with no hook up.

Decided to stay here with children aged 9 and 11. The play area (adjacent to the cafe) is open to residents at all times even when the Barn cafe is closed. But its small - 2 swings and climbing frame/slide etc however it still seemed to keep my children occupied for hours on end.
Dish washing area is large with a huge Belfast style sink and you have a stunning view to look at whilst drying.
Toilets are a bit of a let down. They are nicely done but slightly impractical. There is one male toilet/shower cubicle and one female toilet shower cubicle. Because the toilet and shower are in the same cubicle if both cubicles are be used for showering then you could be in for a wait (not helpful if you want a quick toilet visit first thing in the morning). The other down side to this is the basin/toilet area gets wet from the shower and its difficult to keep clean(owners should add a shower curtain to reduce spray). The basin has an automatic mixer tap which is inconvenient if you want just cold water to brush your teeth. They also desperately need a paper towel holder (paper towels are placed next to the the toilet bowl - not the most hygienic area).
Other practical problems are there is no facility to keep things cold and its several miles to the nearest grocery store - a freezer for ice packs would have been extremely useful.
This may all sound highly critical but I mention these points as a way for the owners to improve the facilities.
There is a slight slope to the camping area and its a bit uneven in places but the view is outstanding. The view from the tent is what makes this site really stand out. It doesn't feel like you're in a campsite but camped on your own on the edge of a field. If you like relatively quiet sites, its well worth a visit.
Site is only about a mile from the causeway to Holy Island so you can walk or cycle from the site to Holy Island (tides permitting). Nearby Berwick has a Tesco, Morrisons, Aldi, Co-Op and a McDonalds.

We only stayed one night at this site we parked in the coach carpark and had lovely views over to Holy Island, it is a shame there is no hookup.
The showers are basic but plenty of hot water and there is a washing up area.
There are very good cycle tracks from the site so ideal to walk the dog.
We eat at The Lindisfarne Inn which is about a 20 minute walk away but unfortunately you can only sit outside with a dog.
The cafe does lovely cakes and the staff are very nice.

Small but perfectly formed! This site is a hidden gem - the closest you'll ever get to camping on Holy Island. Situated at the edge of The Barn at Beal restaurant and bird of prey centre you have the choice of pitching your tent in an enclosed stretch (stone wall one side, post and rail fence t'other) or along the edge of a crop field, both have their benefits - the enclosed stretch if the wind is blowing the wrong way and the field to take in the stunning views across the causeway and along the coastline.
The facilities are better than good but there is only one loo and shower for females, one for men. But this is a very new site and I'm sure the lovely people who own this spot will expand if demand grows. Great base for Northumbrian and Borders walks or just for chilling.
Fantastic bird of prey centre on site and amazing food served in the barn - coffee shop by day, restaurant weekend evenings which is very popular with folk roundabouts so if you're camping, book a table too. Staff are friendly and welcoming, pitches are level and stone free (mostly).
Plenty of parking adjacent to the pitches (but don't park next to your tent!). Not suitable for caravans but great for camper vans and smaller mobile homes (no hook-ups). Back up there in May for the first of hopefully a few visits this year - its just too handy being only 70 miles away from home.
