Excellent small site. And good value for money. The owners are very helpful. The site is level, and is built on a plateau, with banks and hedges and a tall forest behind providing shelter. The grass is short, and the underlying ground is specially constructed and was quite hard after the hot weather, so getting tent pegs in was a challenge. Putting the pegs in at an angle helped. The two showers were very clean and hot.
The washing up area, contained in the shower block is adequate. A small fridge is also provided. The owners are good at encouraging you to recycle. A washing machine and dryer is provided at £2 per wash and £2 per dry. The washing machine door needs a bit of a tug to open.
The site is quiet, and the local beaches are great. We even saw a barn owl at Brook House. There is also buzzards, herons, tawny owls and a local bat roost. It also has dark skies for astronomy
There are local grocery shops in Pendine and Laugharne. Carmarthen has a large Tesco and a Morrison's. Pendine and Laugharne, both have fish and chip shops. The Amroth Arms in Amroth was a bit rough and the drinks were not very good.
Highlight of the week was our visit to Stackpole quay and the amazing Barafundle beach ( N. T. ) The local beaches of Pendine, Amroth and Wisemans Bridge were also lovely. Tenby is well worth a visit. We will definitely return

Just arrived home after 6 nights on the lawn at Brook House. Admitedly we had several days of rain whilst most of the rest of the U. K. Baked, but this did not spoil anything
To follow up on my review last August 2013, I would add that this site is better than ever especially as there is now a free fridge to use. The owners are about the most welcoming anywhere we have ever been.
Even managed not to mislay my glasses this time
Everything stated as before about the site remains true except that the cows are now in the fields and not the barn and unfortunately for the owners there was little trade.
Come on people this location will not disappoint if your ideal is a nice quiet small friendly place away from the trappings and goings on of the huge sites.
Have now found a couple of pubs that are pleasant. The Tex Mex has been replaced with a nice restaurant which has a good reputation with the locals although we did not eat there. Seems to have a good and not too expensive menu.
If you are on a budget there is a nice 'two for one' on the road to Tenby from St Clears. It's just after the island about 1/2 mile outside of St Clears and the food and beer is reasonable.
The Point Cafe is a star with super people and great breakfasts worth the extra few pence compared to the other cafes. Believe me the owner is a real character.
The pub in the middle of Laugharne is a tribute to Welsh rugby with good beer. Don't think I would go inside with an English rugby shirt though.
Will be going back towards the end of the season for 2/3 days.
I'll try not to run the wife down the next time. (That's another story)

This was our very first time using our caravan and we could not have picked a better site. We choose it for the location to Pendine Sands for the VHRA Speed Trials and were very impressed. The Site was easy to find, and access was very good. The camping area was grassed, very flat and well drained and the view was fantastic. We booked hook up, we stayed for 4 days and had no problems at all.
The owners Justin and Rosie were very welcoming and on hand if you needed them and Justin and the family laid on a BBQ for the campers on two nights which sorted out tea.
There are two shower rooms with a toilet and hand basin in each. They were clean with plenty hot water and the showers were hot and had lots of pressure. The heated towel rails were always on so they kept the room warm.
There was also use of a washer and dryer, fridge, washing up facilities and toilet cleaning facilities.
It was very quiet and tranquil and although on the main road to Pendine, traffic was light and no problem even on a busy weekend.
The site is very well placed for visiting the local area and Rosie gave us a few places to visit of interest, including Laugharne, Dylan Thomas' birth place, as must see and Narberth a lovely town, the people are so friendly, even the traffic warden spoke and smiled. Pendine beach is just lovely and the museum which is now the home of BABS was really interesting. We also noticed how very clean and tidy everywhere was.
If you want a small and friendly clean and well maintained site this is for you, we are definitely going back.

Booked for the hot rod racing on the sands. What a wonderful site! The owners have worked so hard, you want for nothing. Situated between Laugharne and Pendine, despite being next to a main road it's beautifully peaceful. The camping area is raised from the road, drained and the grass is well kept and short, with easily accessible electric points and plenty of room for us and awning. Hand made picnic benches and tables are in the centre of the area should you wish to use them. On the Friday evening we were treated to a scrumptious barbeque by the owners! The toilet block is in an old stone barn and beautifully clean and well appointed--2 separate rooms each with a shower, loo and hand basin, all gleamingly clean and with plenty of hooks etc for clothing/towels. A fridge and washing machine were also available (although not used by us)with clear instructions. Local shops were a short drive/pleasant walk away, we wanted for nothing and didn't want to leave. Will definitely be going back

What a wonderful bijou site, it has everything you need including immaculate bathrooms with heated towel rails, use of washing machine, drier, fridge & freezer. We had a wonderful welcome and even a cup of tea made for us before we had even parked the cycles! Great location for Pendine Sands unfortunately we had not checked out the museum opening times and they were closed on the Monday we were there. Great pub down the road with very welcoming locals.

It was our first visit to South Wales and we found the roads good and Brook House easy to find with an accessible driveway to the main camping area.
We were greeted warmly by the owners who ran through the facilities (which included the use of a fridge, washing machine and dryer (£2 each), two shower rooms with toilets and wash hand basins inside and a sink area for washing up - with plenty of hot water, washing up liquid, sponge/washing up cloth and plastic drip-dry rack - all of which were spotless. Oh yes, and cutlery in case you had forgotten your own! Also there were electric hook up points if needed on the pitches.
The site was peaceful and although alongside a road this was not a busy road. Beautiful views were to be seen from the top of the paddock above the main camping area with the chicken run providing eggs if and when available. The grass areas were all well kept and the grass freshly mown.
During this particular June week the weather was unbelievably hot and sunny although one day was a little breezy which blew things around while we were out for the day - so pin everything down really well!
The site is well situated between Pendine and Laugharne, two very different and interesting places and it is an easy drive to Tenby and other nearby places of interest. Everywhere we went the local people couldn't have been more friendly and welcoming.
We generally ate in the evenings at the camp site using one of the family sized picnic tables (3) provided but we did each lunch at The Point in Pendine where the portions were generous, cooked to order and were really like good home cooking. You could also see the full length of the beach from inside The Point. Again the owner and his helper were extremley friendly and helpful.
Rosie and Justin were always there to help and we enjoyed chatting to them. Their plans for the future development of the site are also very exciting but at the moment are still in the early stages. They are campers themselves so know what campers like.
We were invited into the gardens and could see the rocking horse and the fun play things for children on the lawn. Also there are happy signs dotted about which make you smile - a reflection of Rosie and Justin's personalities.
After four nights of camping we felt very relaxed and refreshed and didn't really want to leave.
We will definitely be going back as we haven't finished exploring yet - so much to do and see.
The only negative thing was that it was a little difficult turning out of the driveway onto the road but there is a mirror to help view the oncoming traffic.

We returned to this site because it was so handy for visiting Laugharne, Llansteffan, Pembrey to name but a few. The current owners made us feel most welcome and were on hand if we needed any assistance. The site is also a working farm but was quite even though it was adjacent to a road. The shower block and laundering facilities were very good. We can recommend the food at the Carpenters Arms in Broadway. This was our second visit to the site and I am sure it will not be the last.

Didn't leave Leicester until late phoned and booked a pitch. they were very helpful and accommodating, took over 6hrs to get there, even though we turned up late still very welcoming with big smiles
Facilities were excellent could not find any fault as only small site separate part to take the dogs on and play and do business on (picked up and bagged)
Surrounding area was very very quite and pleasant
Just a few miles down the road is pendine quite beach village with 7 miles of beach normal coastal shops best cafe we found was on the beach (I had a double surfer's big breakfast)
Very relaxing and will return again

Just returned from a weekend break at Brook. Couldn't fault the site at all.
We are regular visitors to the area, however this was our first time staying at Brook. The owners Rosie & Justin are so helpful and friendly, they will go out of their way to help you if you forget anything.
Very small site but to us it was perfect, very quite, the only thing that woke us one night was an owl! Who could moan about that?
Toilet/ shower facilities were spotless.
Indoor sink for washing up.
Washing machine & dryer ( honesty box at extra cost, only £2), which I found really useful as there was myself, my husband and 4 children.
I can't say enough about the area - beautiful beach and countryside. We love this area and the locals are really friendly helpful people. Can't say much about the pubs as we don't visit them but the cafe's and chip shop in Pendine are lovely.
If you are looking for a get away from it all break, with lovely walks out in the country and along the coast then you can't get any better.
I've all ready booked again for October and can't wait to go back!

Very nice little site where you are made to feel most welcome. Even helped when like a plonker I mislaid my glasses.
Flat pitch for the tent. We were on the lawn where their was plenty of space.
Facilities are clean and acceptable and if you do need it there is a washing machine and dryer with an honesty box. Nice touch heated towel rails.
Lovely to wake up and hear the cows next door mooing. If this is not your cup of tea then perhaps camping is not for you.
Have no quarms in recommending the site and we will return hopefully on the lawn again.
As to the area. A little short of quaint country pubs or at least as far as we went in 3 days. If anyone has any suggestions for the future please state this in reviews.
Laugharne is a super spot ' Free carpark' but other than the 'Culture Cafe' no where else worth eating. Forget the TEX MEX. Pendinne is nice but still short of eateries other than a somewhat over priced pub with no choice of real ales and bog standard food and a fairly standard but pleasant couple of cafes.
So on the food score it's been do it yourself or travel further afield.
The area is so pretty and we are looking forward to exploring further in the future.
