Had two nights at Marshlands Alpacas last weekend, Julie and Gary gave us a warm welcome, lovely little site, surrounded by shrubbery, making it very cosy, next to alpaca paddock so lovely to watch them going about their business and viewing us!
We were two vans, four people and five dogs, but that wasn't a problem for our hosts, it was a lovely relaxed atmosphere, unlike a lot of sites who claim to be dog friendly but have hardly even been dog tolerant, such a bonus.
The site is well maintained shower and loo block good, though loos did have slight puddling issues. Bins and recycling all there and undercover.
Knowing we were close to the Humber we were wanting to walk the dogs along it which posed a problem at first as it seemed there was no access, we made it in the end and it was worth the effort, there was also a handy playing field to walk around just along the road.
The little train station is close if you wanted to venture elsewhere, which you would need to do if you were there for long as New Holland has very little to offer.
However could not give the site it's self higher praise and at £14 a night with hook up, good value for money!

We have just spent four days at this amazing camp site. New Holland is hardly a tourist destination, however it was a great base. It was quiet and clean. There was covered washing up facilities and the hosts always changed the towels and kept the sinks and toilets very clean. It was a flat site and had electric hook up. I thought £14 was reasonable for a night. It is great if you have a bike because you can cycle over the Humber Bridge. Did you know that it is the longest suspension bridge you can cycle over. Very nearby is the train which runs into Cleethorpes and Barton on Humber. In Barton there are two great nature reserves to visit. Barton is only about 5 miles away - you can walk down by the estuary to get there or cycle on great cycle tracks. Can recommend this site the owners are very friendly as are the alpacas!

We spent a couple of nights at this little camp site. The site itself is very clean and well kept and the owner was very friendly as are the alpacas. It is a flat site with electric hook up and was reasonable at £14 per night. The surrounding area leading into the site unfortunately leaves a lot to be desired - we walked to the Chinese takeaway recommended by the owner to get a menu but didn't go that way again on foot due to the loose dogs and those barking and lunging at us from behind gates, fences etc!
This is a nice site to come to if you don't want to venture far and just want to chill on the site. By the way the Chinese takeaway was very good and they deliver!

We stayed here with our four kids and they absolutely loved it. Brilliant little site, has everything you need. Very friendly and helpful owners. Alpacas in adjacent field. The camping field is small enough so you can keep an eye on the kids. We will certainly stay here again. Very good and clean toilet and shower facilities.

On a last minute impulse to do some Bank Holiday camping we found this excellent little site. The field was in great condition and is obviously very well cared for with the added bonus of the pegs going all the way in, a pleasant change from the rock quarries I usually find and the view was great.
The owners were very friendly and the facilities were immaculately clean (Shower and 2 Toilets) and the recycling/water/waste disposal area is undercover and again very tidy and well looked after.
BBQ's and Fire Pits are available to hire at a very reasonable price and I was most impressed by the heat proof board supplied to put the Firepit/BBQ’s on which protects the grass. In the recycling area there was a dustbin for ash so they could be easily emptied.
The train station was a 10 minute stroll and we had a ride to Cleethorpes and a good old fashioned day out to the sea side in gorgeous Bank Holiday sunshine! Elsham Hall was only 20 minutes away in the car and there was a Bank Holiday Festival on which was great fun for the kids. We ended the day with a Chinese takeaway a minute away from the site and it was excellent. 6 miles down the road Barton-upon-Humber has large supermarkets where we got everything we needed.
The huge and very friendly Archie the Horse came over to say hello and be petted, the Alpacas however, just gave me a look, I think they’re like that ;-).
I will definitely be using this site again, you never know, perhaps the Alpaca’s will warm to me :-).

Great Site very chilled and relaxing.
All the basics you need, hook ups, showers, toilets.
Plus the interesting Alpacas in the field next to you!
Friendly owners
Nice walk through the caravan site opposite, talks you to the Humber estuary with great views of Hull.
Walking distance to village, pub etc.
Will be back.

Just spent the weekend here and its an absolute gem of a site, pitches are very well kept and flat, showers and tiolets were always in a fantastic condition.
Just a short distance to the local Chinese (they do deliver) and pizza shop, we opted to hire a bbq from the site which came at a very reasonable rate it also came with coal which was an added bonus,
Lots to see on site too the grandkids along with the adults enjoyed feeding the horse that was resident on site, lots of alpacas to but they kept themselves to themselves most of the time but were very inquisitive when we were setting up,
The owners were very friendly and couldn't do enough for us.
All in all a very enjoyable stay at a fabulous site, we will be going back again.

We chose this site at the last minute as we needed to visit relatives urgently. A very pleasant surprise. Could only gave location 7, as New Holland will never be a must-see location. BUT it is ideal for birdwatchers with some great sunsets over the marshes. Nearby at Barton there is loads to see if you are interested in history/old churches/nature, plus a good selection of pubs and places to eat. Great fish & chips in Barrow!
The site itself is attractive and pretty level. Give it a few years and the trees and hedges with improve it further. Pitches have there own defined areas and there are solar powered light glowing at night. Kids will love the Alpacas, big horse, plus all the ducks etc.
The owners are nice people and very keen to please. No hook-ups yet, but the water and waste emptying points are undercover which is a great feature. With hooks ups we could have scored it higher.
Large outfits need to take care turning in, but no big deal. We would use it again.

Received a friendly welcome from the owners or Marshland Alpacas. It makes for a very interesting weekend camping next to a field of Alpacas and other animals. Bought some free range hens eggs, they were lovely, going to try the duck eggs next time I visit.
A very open site, but with new trees planted that will give more shelter from the wind when they grow. The open aspect means you can have all day sun if you wish, and also have views towards the Humber where I could see a North Sea Ferry in dock. There are no showers or toilets, but as seems to be the case quite often, the owners are planning on rectifying this. In fact, while I was there in September 2013, they had just bought a portable cabin to provide one shower and one toilet, so I expect this facility will be available quite soon. The current facilities, drinking water/grey water drainage, and a chemical disposal point with rinse hose are under cover in a very clean building with lighting. No EHU, but again, this is something they are considering adding to the site.
The village of New Holland is within walking distance and has a Chinese takeaway, a pub and a shop with basic provisions. There is some industry in the area, but it wasn't too instrusive. The railway, again not intrusive, runs nearby and you can catch a 2 hourly train to various destinations between Barton-upon-Humber and the seaside resort of Cleethorpes. Thornton Abbey, an English Heritage property, has it's own station on this line, and a day could be spent at Grimsby visiting the Fishing Heritage museum and the shopping centre.
An ideal site for a weekend of relaxing outside your unit with something interesting to look at, or for a longer stay to visit some of the destinations on the railway route. Would thoroughly recommend this site to motorhome owners who like to leave their van pitched and use public transport. I will certainly be visiting again next year.

Lovely basic little site in a flat field, with views over to the Humber, quite open but as the hedges grow they will provide more shelter.
Really friendly owners who are happy to have a chat and tell you about the animals.
The chemical disposal, waste and fresh water are under cover inside part of the barn, they are really clean and well organised, with local information and takeaway menus on the walls.
