What a great little adult only site! Very good location, easily accessible, best route for approach would be the B4405 (don't be tempted by the A493 which is much tighter). A helpful information pack and freesat box and connectors was given to us by the owners which we used for TV, local walks and places to eat. We had a drink and a meal in the local village pub, The Peniarth Arms Hotel, where we had a warm welcome and good pub grub. As recommended in the information pack, the Precipice Walk was superb and not as taxing as the name suggests, also the Dolgoch Falls provided yet more photo opportunities. The beach at Tywyn was lovely for an evening stroll and sunset watching.
The facilities, as previously mentioned by other reviewers were superb, 5 star! The site is a credit to the owners who are friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Thank you for a great stay. We have already mentioned the site to friends and family.

Just spent a lovely week at 'The Meadows', and I can only agree with everything said so far. This site 'redeemed' Wales for us after we stayed at Penmaenmawr and South Wales adults only sites, neither of which we enjoyed. The owners are so friendly and helpful, one even helped us install and set up the freesat satellite system, (that they generously provide every unit with if required), in close to monsoon conditions. The shower is probably one of the best we've seen on a campsite before, and while there's only one we never had to queue for it. The site itself is immaculately kept, with well kept shrubs, thoughtful lighting and perfect lawns, though we thought it was a shame that one camper in a motorhome left deep ruts on the edge of his pitch, such was his desire to achieve the best view.
We went on some lovely walks in the area and can recommend the walk up to Dolgoch Falls, the 'BBC Walking Weatherman' route around Aberdovey, and the walk in to Tywyn along the river out of the village. Absolutely beautiful. There's a pub a short walk away, but can't comment on that as we never went. Fab fish and chips at The Mermaid in Barmouth though!
Lovely site, lovely area, and lovely owners, we'd definitely like to return again. Once again, thanks for the lovely stay.

What an absolute gem of a campsite. Extremely friendly and helpful owners who gave us an information pack to keep for the duration of our stay. There is also free Wifi. The site has everything you could ask for to give you the most perfect conditions, from facilities to setting to everything being spot on and first class. The new toilet and shower block are spotless, with two toilets and a modern shower. It is just on the edge of the village, with a bus stop within 100yards. It is a short drive to the seaside town of Tywyn, where there is a large Co-op and Spar and lots of individual shops. Super beach too. It would be a crying shame if this fabulous Campsite didn't win the best CL of the year award.

This is a small site with just 5 spacious pitches, with fantastic views from all of them. The site is really well maintained and laid out. Really easy access and easy to find. Run by friendly people - we got a lovely welcome. The facilities are all excellent and clean and well looked after. Shop and nearby pub are both really handy - a few minutes walk - food in pub good and there's wifi there.
Area good for cycling and walking. Also local buses to coast where you can get trains - up to the mountains or further up the coast.
