We were warmly greeted by Gail and given a short tour of the facilities.

A useful information folder was also provided.

The site is very nicely laid out with hedges separating pitches which were of good size.

The site and facilities were exceptionally tidy and clean and is the best we have stayed on.

Tywyn with its beach, shops and station is a level walk or cycle of about 3 miles away. There is a pub in the village which was recommended but we didn’t get to try this.

We were able to take the train journey to Porthmadog and back which is famously picturesque.

I accidentally left the power mover remote on the drive and Gail kindly posted this on to us.

A beautifully kept site & in the right place for visiting so many places.

We went to Tallwyn railway lovely trip even in the rain. Aberdovey then drive to Fairbourne a beautiful scenic view.

Tywyn is sweet with a useful coop.

Claire really cares about how her guests are finding things & the site does her proud.

We are converted & will definitely be back.

Agree with previous reviews, this is one of the best CL's we have stayed on.

Absolutely immaculate, beautiful gardens, facilities well kept and cleaned. Owners super friendly and helpful

There are two good dog walks directly from site first a mile around the village, second 1/2 mile. Both on pavements except few hundred metres outside campsite on a quiet lane.

Easy walk or cycle to Tywyn

There is an off road footpath all the way, alternatively there is a footpath beside the river. About 50 minutes walk but flat all the way on footpath.

Also several buses to town from the village throughout the day. Its 5 minutes by car.

Tywyn beach is lovely, the town has a few shops and cafes but its not a shopping destination- more a gentle place to amble around.

Very peaceful and beautiful site, without doubt we will use it again.

The campsite is in a lovely location with great views.

The instructions we received from Gail before our arrival were comprehensive and clear which made everything easy.

The pitch was level and well laid out with water next to it.

The facilities were spotless and Gail was very friendly.

All in all a great experience, thanks Gail.

Very clean and tidy site with good size pitches.

Nice walk down to the nearest Talyllyn Railway station at Rhydyronen.

Local shop appears closed :(

Didn't use the pub but looked good.

As a guide, we stayed two nights and used about £3.50 of electricity (charged at 37p p kw)

Superb CAMC CL, beautifully maintained, excellent facilities and the shower room was sparkly clean. The hardstanding pitches are level and generous in size.

Great base for exploring this part of Wales. The Peniarth Arms Hotel/ pub is 5 minutes walk away and the food is very good and very reasonably priced.

Overall excellent place to stay.

Finding a gem of a site like this doesn’t happen every day! The Meadows CL is in a perfect location, just at the edge of Bryncrug, a couple of miles inland from Tywyn.

It is ideal for walking or cycling - and only a kilometre from the nearest halt on the delightful Talyllyn Railway, Tynllwyn Hen Halt.

You will get a great welcome from Gail and David, the site is beautifully kept, the facilities are second to none and it is so peaceful.

The views of the mountains are outstanding, and frame the area superbly.

Highly recommended - you won’t find better!

Lovely little site. Very friendly welcome from site owners on arrival. Cannot comment on toilet/shower facilities as closed due to covid.

Site is a short walk from village of Bryncrug and we enjoyed a countryside walk by the narrow guage railway into Tywyn and caught the train back.

If you are staying on pitch 4 in a motorhome longer than 6 metres it can be a bit of a tight squeeze reversing in if pitch 5 is occupied.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Would definitely recommend

We really like this campsite. Situated on the very edge of the village it is quiet.

The road outside is not too busy. Gail and David are lovely hosts.

Everything is spotlessly clean, the toilet and shower were closed due to Covid restrictions but all the other facilities were excellent.
