Far Acre Farm is a lovely little campsite in the rural Kent village of Marden. My two children and I set up camp for a 'device free. Getting away from it all' weekend. The weather unfortunately wasn't great but it did not impact on our time spent here.
The site is maintained to a high standard and is obviously very well cared for; the toilets and shower block were spotlessly clean and a newly appointed washing up area made life easy. Jenny, the owner, was warm and welcoming-taking time to point out local places of interests, bringing us wood for the fire, eggs for our breakfast £1. And on one particular evening hot chocolate and marshmallows for the children!
I would happily recommend this campsite to anyone. You are guaranteed the personal touch from this famiy run site. We will definitely return.

We stayed at this campsite over Easter weekend (3 families with children) and despite the weather being a little on the wet and windy side we had a fab time. We were met by Jennie (the owner) whom was a wonderful host and was always at the end of the phone when needed and made an effort to come and have a chat. The toilet and shower block was clean and always had toilet roll (unlike some campsites) with good washing up facilities and a recycling point. There was also the added bonus of having electric hook up. We brought fresh eggs from far acre farm and I must say they really were delicious. The children enjoyed roasting marshmallows over the campfire and the field we camped in was ideal and safe for the little ones to run around in.
The campsite is in a great location and we enjoyed a nice stroll 20 minutes down the road to Marden. The locals are very welcoming and the pub we stopped in welcome families and dogs! There are also shops and a few takeaways in Marden if you fancy a night off from cooking. We will definitely be returning soon and would recommend this value for money campsite to families.

My family have just had a great stay at Far Acre Farm. The owner was very helpful, giving us a public footpath route for a great dog walk, directly opposite the campsite entrance. We bought a delicious box of free range eggs that were laid that morning for just £1, and also bought some lovely cider produced in their winery. The campsite borders their vineyard and I was told the grapes are nearly ready to be picked.
We had a brilliant campfire on our last night with a massive crate of wood we bought from the farm for just £3. 50. You would pay twice as much for half the amount at a garage.
The toilets and showers were kept clean and tidy throughout our stay.
We will definitely be coming back again and look forward to trying their wine when it is ready!

Just spent an enjoyable weekend here, but there are much better campsites out there for the price.
Pitches are level, and there is lots of space. It's attractive and tidy.
However, toilet facilities were not kept amazingly clean. There were pools of water around the pedestals and dirty towels on the floor.
Great that firewood was provided for sale; a shame that it was damp.
For the money I would expect washing up facilities. Per tent pricing is penal for those bringing two tiny tents compared with one enormous one.

After spending a delightful August bank holiday with friends at Far Acre Farm we are hoping to revisit next year. Jennie is very welcoming and accommodating to all guests, the facilities are kept clean and there are plenty of local walks to enjoy.
Fire pits and wood are supplied at a small charge, there are several outside drinking water taps with electric hook ups available on request.
As a small group we were allocated generous pitches, cars are conveniently parked alongside tents and there is plenty of space to play field games with the children.
This site provides a taste of back to basics childhood camping we all remember and enjoy.

Excellent gem of a site. Separate shower and toilet for male and female. These are adequate and sufficient for the number of units. The owners are lovely and very welcoming. Try the homemade cider, but be careful it is 6. 6%. When trying to find the site and travelling from Goudhurst, look out for the campsite signs after Tanners Farm camp site. Even though there are 3 signs outside the campsite entrance (2 at the gate and 1 on the verge opposite the entrance) it easy to miss.
Jennie the owner stated that the site has only been running a couple of years and they updating the facilities alll the time ( a washing up facility will be added shortly).
We cannot wait to return as the four days we stayed was really relaxing

We spent 5 nights at this site last weekend (May 2015). The owners are absolutely lovely - very friendly and helpful (definitely recommend the chicken eggs and the home made cider!) The field is a certificated site for Camping and Caravanning and facilities are basic but present. Hard standings are being created and toilets are kept very clean. The shower was a little temperamental for me but certainly not a deal breaker! We stayed close to home as we have horses to keep an eye on but, despite this, we came away better rested than we do after some fortnights abroad! We joked about leaving an awful review so we could always book but we're not that mean! It's great - for children and animals (securely fenced) for camp fires and for a lovely time. We stayed in a group with ages from 9 months to 51 and had a brilliant time. Thanks!

My family and dog stayed here for 5 nights and found it to be a welcoming and lovely site!
The toilet and shower block was small but adequate, but most importantly it was kept immaculately clean by very regular visits from Jenny (the owner). The site is a large field which easily accommodated lots of big tents or groups without being too close to the next group. The firepits were a great addition, and most groups on the site had one going in the evenings.
A great part of the country, lots of things to do in the area. There is a local shop in Marden that was extremely well stocked for anything you might forget, and also a chippy/kebab shop in case you simply don't want to cook. The 'Pinetum' nearby was a great place to go if you are biking, walking or need to entertain the kids for a day!
This site has only been open a year, but if the hard work from Jenny is anything to go by, it's just going to get better and better.

This is a very friendly and homely run camp site. They were very helpful as I was new to camping. As this is a working farm held family chicken farm, you can get the freshest eggs ever! Showing us the facilities and giving us information of the local area and what is on offer to us. Very quiet open field, pet friendly, idea for people wanting to get away from the rat run. Facilities are clean and tidy. Local in walking distance to shops and local pubs.

Just spent 4 lovely peaceful days at Far Acre and will definitely go back. Plenty of space, friendly owners, fresh farm eggs, adequate facilities. What more could you want?
As mentioned before signage could be better, we drove past the entrance 3 times before we noticed it! As we only have a motorhome we were able to turn round in the Garden Centre one way and Marden village the other. Not so convenient if you were towing a caravan.
Lovely walk over the fields and round the orchards in to Marden, nice lunch at the West End and a wander back. Would not want to walk directly along the road though as it is narrow and quite busy.
We would probably take a small car with us on another visit so that we could get further afield exploring
