We came upon Treverven whilst travelling around Cornwall. We were actually staying on a campsite a few miles away, but weren't really happy there. Our booking with Treverven was, to say the least, casual. No deposit required, just turn up and choose a spot! We did. And we had great views across the fields to the sea beyond!
The campsite is well furnished, good toilet block, washing facilities, playground for the kids. Although I did try 3 showers before I found one that actually worked! The only other disappointing thing was the dogs. The campsite insist that all dogs be kept on leads, but we found numerous campers dogs running around doing their 'thing' wherever they chose. Not very nice!
However, we had a really pleasant and peaceful stay there and are going back again in August. Same thing, no deposit, choose a spot! I did try to book a pitch but I'm still not sure if I actually got one! I'd recommend Treverven as it's in a really picturesque spot with great walks directly from the site and absolutely loads to do in the surrounding area; Sennen is beautiful and the Minnack Theatre is only a short distance. A great place to use as a base to visit so many places!

We've just returned from 4 nights at this site. The original plan was to go to Treen Farm but as we arrived lateish on Saturday night (9pm) we found it full so went to this, the nearest site we could find.
It's a very pleasant site with a fair view of the sea and direct access to the coast path for walkers. At this time of year it was nice and quiet with maybe 30 campers in total for a site with probably 120 pitches. We camped across 2 pitches as they are quite small and once it fills up a bit I think it wouldn't be quite as much fun.
The facilities are very good - lots of good quality showers and a separate toilet block plus plenty of washing up sinks and even a washing machine and dryer.
All in all an excellent site. Unfortunately what spoilt it for me was the attitude of the woman in charge of the site. Such a shame really. This site has it all going for it bar the attitude of the staff. They could do so well with just a little more attention to customer care.

We have visited this site every year for about 8 years, in recent years the standards seem to fall. Booking a pitch is at best hit and miss as you could end up anywhere - if fortunate it might be the pitch that you booked. On one occasion we arrived back to our pitch to find that someone else had been told to pitch there - particularly annoying as we use a pup tent which we then had to empty and move elsewhere (the site was virtually empty so why this happened I can't even guess). Why the traffic to the farm has to travel through the site rather than along the lane I really can't guess at but it is another small annoyance. This was such a good site and could be again as it is in a wonderful location and the facilities (particularly the showers when working properly) are good

We go here every year, clean and spacious site with superb walks and beaches and coves all within walking distance along the coast path. Beautiful magical in spring early summer before noisy campers desend in high summer. Toilets are clean with plenty of showers. Football pitch and small shop, very relaxing and far from the madding crowd. Yes it can be windy and sometimes there can be a sea mist in which case head for St Ives for the day which we often find is sunny.

We spent 4 nights here and had a fantastic time. The site is well situated if you enjoy breathtaking views and coastal walks. We being myself, husband and 10 year old son found the facilities very good. Plenty of hot water, clean toilet and shower blocks for which we never had t9o queue. Pitches are a good size and the picnic benches are a really useful extra. The site is very child friendly and our 10 year old enjoyed playing with his new friends. We are definetely going to return next summer for much longer (2 or 3 weeks) and would highly recommend this site.

We visited this site again after a two year break, with slight reservations having read the last review on this campsite posted in the summer of 2006. It was half term, not particularly busy, beautiful weather. The facilities were clean and well-stocked but there was a distinct lack of water pressure for the showers, bearing in mind only two people were using the shower block at the time! Service was casual but pleasant - someone does need to ask them to sort out their water pressure problem. Great location for visiting West Cornwall, especially the Minack Theatre and Sennen.

Having stayed at this site last year which is very well located for the beautiful beach at Porthcurno and the Minack Theatre we decided to return again this year. Unfortunately we will not be going back again. Having telephoned and booked a pitch for our two week stay we arrived to be told in a rather offhand way to go and find one ourselves as they hadn't had time to reserve one for us. The facilities were not as well kept as last year, toilets were not kept as clean and well stocked with loo roll and paper towels, very poor water pressure to the hand basins, a couple of the showers were out of order and the tumble dryer kept breaking down. It is a very windy site too. Last year we did feel the owners were a little surly which we put down the stress of running a campsite but this year we found them downright rude - almost as if they really resented what they were doing. Others may have a different experience but having given them the benefit of the doubt last year we won't be returning I'm afraid.

We couldn't find any reviews for this site but thought it looked good - we were not disappointed. It is a very well run spacious site in an excellent location. Even over the bank holiday weekend there were spare pitches and there is a huge field dedicated for gmaes, with football net, swingballs etc (a big plus for our children 10 & 7).
Toilets, showers block etc are all adequate and clean with free hot water, and there is a large freezer for general use. Another nice touch is the provision of electric kettle and toaster - we only used our own kettle once!
We really liked the location and did some great cliff walks striaght from the site. It is about 5 mins drive to Porthcurno beach and the Minack theatre and 15 mins to the surfing beach at Sennon.
When I initially enquired about the site I was told there was no need to book unless we wanted electric hookup. When I did eventually book (for our own piece of mind) there was no deposit required...the first time we have encountered this! We would certainly recommend this site and while there we came across several families who return every year!

Came here after we had been to the Minack theatre. It was a gorgeous day but really windy at this site. We were here for three nights and it seemed windy and exposed most of the time. The site is two big long fields with a hedge in between. The camping is around both fields. There is one toilet block with showers, washing up and washing machine and drier. £3 for washing and £1 for 15 mins drying.
In one of the fields there is a basket ball hoop and balls and two swing balls and bats for use by the kids. The shop sells a variety of things and you can pre order your paper. There is also a mobile food van - open in the morning and evening which provides all sorts of meals. We enjoyed our time here but felt it was weirdly windy!!!
