We were originally going to spend one night at Sutton Vale, but we were so impressed with the wonderful service that we stayed a second night. We were warmly welcomed, and despite it being bank holiday weekend and we just showed up, we were given a pitch, information package and code for the ablution block. The ablution block was clean - it was being cleaned when we went to shower. They even play music while you are showering! The swimming pool was great - the children thorougly enjoyed it. The clubhouse and restaurant are lovely - very busy, lots of entertainment for adults and children alike. Sunday supper was nice and quite reasonable. The camp was busy, but not rowdy or noisy and we didn't think the nearby road was that busy that we lost sleep. The whole camp is very beautifully set up, nice gardens etc. The white cliffs of Dover are a definite visit, the walk along the cliff was lovely with great views of the harbour, channel and France. St Margret's bay is very quaint - be warned: remember to pay and display (50p an hour) for parking at the pebble beach, they do check! We will definitely be back again - there are so many places we still want to go to in the area and the children enjoyed every minute of it! The camp reception has a wonderful display of brochures for dozens of attractions, so no excuse for nothing to do! We shall return!

We stayed at Sutton Vale for 1 night as we had just bought a caravan. Not very impressed. The huge area for static caravans was lovely (landscaped gardens, lovely central area in the site etc) The area for touring caravans was horrible. You had to go through the general rubbish tip/discarded caravan dump to get to the pitch which was overgrown with weeds and nettles and really out of the way. The shower/toilet block was right over by the statics, which don't need these facilities so you had to walk miles. The pool was ok but no changing or showering facilities in the pool area. You have to walk about 100 yards to the shower block. This is probably fine in the height of summer but not great in spring or autumn. We didnt go in the bar as we have a toddler and kids are not welcome in the bar. Too little to do for the kids and very unkempt. Probably lovely for the owners of the statics but not for us.

On arrival we were given our pitch number and a map and found the pitch easily. We were given a code for the toilets which we found very clean. Over our 4 night stay we used the swimming pool every day. It is a good size with a small shallow area for young children and a deep end suitable for our teenager. One of the nicer sites we have visited. The club was busy on Sunday afternoon but all the other time we visited we found it very friendly and quiet. The online booking website worked well but they need to keep it more up to date. Pitch 1 is next to the toilets and then numbered out from there. We will be visiting this site again for our first run next year.

Arrived bank holiday Friday night in the field next to the statics, started to pitch near the road but found it too noisy and another camper had a genny going so we moved over to the other side which was very nice. WC and shower is a long walk away. The site is clean and staff are nice. Drinks in the club house are overpriced. We will visit again this year as it is near the port of Dover so you can pop over to France for a day. There are lots of places to visit and we did from Brighton in 2 hours.

On arrival to this site all seems pleasant. The Staff at reception were friendly and helpful. The campsite itself is quiet, but you can get some noise from passing traffic, but all in all not too bad. There is a play area suited for younger children and while we were there a bouncy castle as well (free to use). The swimming pool was nice enough. Just a shame we had to go in to a busy bar in our swim gear to find a member of staff to let us in! (a note on the door telling you to do this) Also there are no toilets in the swimming pool area so you have to go out to the toilet block.
The toilets and shower block on arrival seemed ok. There were signs everywhere saying they were checked every 60 mins and cleaned between 12-12.30. This is not true. They were not cleaned once over the weekend. The bin was over flowing and a nasty smell in the ladies. Once mentioned they were cleaned on the last day. You have keys for the toilets, which a £10 deposit is required. There is a clubhouse on site.

Arrived friday night, paid our money at reception, given keys to shower and toilet block. Told to pitch where we like in the sportsfield, as long as its around the edge. Arrived in the field after driving past all the statics, the field is just that nothing else. No loos or EHU points or Water points. (only place to get drinking water is between peoples static vans!) Found a pitch, complete with a used disposable BBQ, a brillopad and dozens of fag ends. We chose to camp away from the caravans pitched on the other side of the field, come bedtime we were glad we did, as they were running generators for power. (they had longterm pitches as they were working locally) The field is next to a busy road, so not that quiet either. quite a walk to the toilets and showers, (glad we took the bucket)! One sink for washing up, again, quite a walk. Couldn't let the kids go alone as they were in a different part of the park, and they needed keys. No sanitary disposal in the ladies loos. To be honest, the female toilets smelled terrible. Hubby said mens were fine. If you required EHU (we weren't offered, as we were in a tent), then you had to pitch in the middle of the statics, and they were crammed in tight. The on site restaurant was closed for a private function on the friday and the saturday, so couldn't eat on site. We really felt that tenters were second best. The one saving grace of this place was the pool, which was really nice. Even the play park was miles away from our field. Overpriced for what we got £17.50 per night. (this was per pitch, as a couple paid the same as us 4) The on site shop was geared for statics only, no camping accessories, which would have come in handy as the ground was so stony and hard we bent 50% of our pegs pitching. No bread, but did sell frozen food, tinned food and milk. Children not allowed in on site bar either. We did pay a vist to the Plough inn as mentioned on the website, the food was lovely and the kids were really welcomed there.
