Have visited this site on many occasions,in the old caravan at first. mainly for its close proximity to all the local amenities, not the cheapest around, but it saves a lot of legwork. However,on our last stay,we found the showers in particular, to be filthy, dead bugs all over the place, nails in the door for towels, no shelving, apparently not cleaned on a regular basis. I doubt if we will be staying again.

May 2004 Stayed here over May day bank holiday weekend so was very busy.
Not much room to manouvre between sited caravans as they are very close together.
Ideally situated for markets and Fantasy Island theme park.
Can get very noisy at night due to the theme park being open until late, also the night club across the road.
Fish and chip shop and supermarket adjacent to site entrance.
Will definately stay here again.

2002 Pitches are very close Caravans/ campers only no tents Dog Friendly site (use poop scooper please) fees for for up to 2 adults and 3 children additional persons charged extra Dogs allowed no charge has a safe children's play area
This site is in the middle of Sea Lane 100 yards from the Fantasy Island complex and the markets ( both ways)
Pitches are all level and most are rigged for hook ups. The pitches are close together and in High season definitely feels overcrowded There is one large toilet block with showers and laundry room these are cleaned twice a day
There is no bar or club house on site but there is a pub and licensed amusment arcade (BJ’s) which puts on family shows at night across the road , a chippy and a little supermarket at the end of the drive and a 50 yard walk away there is a kebab house.
It is ideally situated in the town although a little antiquated now it still gets a lot of business due to its position. In high season you definitely need to book.

You don't have to be mad ...but it helps
