We have recently stayed at this site and it was chosen for it's position in Kent as it's central to many attractions like the Kent County Show and numerous Nat Trust Sites. Before booking, we read the reviews which were good and hoped they were accurate. The site is one of the best we've stayed at and the Toilet/Shower Block is of a standard better than most hotels. Access is through an Electric Gate and the caravans/tents are about 1/2 mile down the driveway.
The site is flat and extremely quiet. There is a large field for dogs to exercise. The owners live on site and will help you with any problems and the site is kept neat and tidy. Many others have written very good and accurate good reviews and we thoroughly concur. If you want a holiday in Kent, book this site!

As everyone else has said, this is a very special site. Simply beautiful. You would struggle to beat the high quality facilities on any other site. 10 out of 10 from us.
Some constructive criticism. And doesn't detract from what a superb site it is but thought they are worth mentioning.
1. The pitches are clearly marked, but due to the placing of the pitch number, nearly everyone pitched incorrectly - we arrived to find our neighbours guy lines encroaching on our pitch. Maybe the pitch numbers would be better in the middle of the pitch as they seem to be on most other sites?
2. Adults only. During our stay, two families arrived with what we term children (young teenagers) which caused me to just check on the site website and it does say 'adults over the age of 14'. Not sure why 14 year olds are considered adults but it definitely is not what we were expecting. Having said that, they were very well behaved. Such a shame, but with this rule, not sure if we would be back as we truly thought it would be adults only.
Sorry if this sounds picky, we had a fabulous week and really loved everything about the site.

Idyllic position.
We wanted a quiet little site jyst to get away from the rat race. This site is absolutely superb!
I can't fault anything about this site. The owners are so friendly and very helpful, the shower/toilet block is 5* and that's because it's adults only. Just Love the peacefulness of the place. Will be returning very soon.

Wow, what a fantastic hideaway. Quiet, no children, excellent toilets and facilities. Motorhomers will need transport as the site is well off the beaten track. Easy to book in and then was given the choice of the available pitches. Site grass and very flat. Area very flat, not a hill in sight. Used this site as a 2 night stopover on route to France. Would certainly do this again. We were towing a car so we're able to get out and visit local towns.

What a wonderful site, lovely and peaceful.
Very tidy, showers and loos were immaculate at all times.
We saw squirrels, rabbits, fox and the horses in the paddocks are lovely.
Very secure and they now have storage a bonus for those in the area.
Friendly and helpful owners. We used this site as a base to look around the area, Hastings and Whitstable are lovely and worth a visit, we did a day trip to France as the tunnel is only 45 mins away. We would recommend a really good burger place in Hastings called Half Man Half Burger, they are freshly made and really good ! also Samphire bistro in Whitstable is amazing and would highly recommend both.
Back to the site, my only little niggle is that you can hear a dull train noise, you are a little way away from the track but you can still hear them, mind you when you sit outside the van and look at the scenery then it not a major issue.
Due to the location, you cannot walk to the local shop or pub but this is the balance on the peace and quiet.

Impossibley relaxing quiet stay at Still Acres, spacious pitch, 16amp electric, 5star toilets and showers can get good 4g and tv coverage, bbq's, windshields and awnings and tents welcome and the owners equally brilliant. The pitches are flat and firm I think they all have plastic netting under your caravan. Only 30 pitches give you a big unobstructed sky to greet your mornings. Faultless and highly recommended. Obviously booked to go back.

Following a break of about 3 Years we have have just returned to the world of caravanning. Part of the reason for us giving up the caravan last time was because we found that although the lifestyle suited us a majority of the sites we visited did not.
This weekend was our second venture out this year and I am genuinely astonished by the difference a week can make. The site we visited last week gave us concerns that we had made a massive mistake in taking up our old hobby. Oh dear
Then we came across Still Acres. The difference that this place made meant that we felt completely vindicated in our decision to return to caravanning.
From the moment we arrived and greeted by the owner we knew that we had found something special. I have never experienced such a warm welcome from any site previously. Nothing was too much trouble. The grounds a perfectly manicured and maintained with excellent level pitches. All pitches have electric hookup. No shop on site but Marden is only a short drive away and has a nice little shop and decent fish and chip shop. Hosmondon is also nice with a decent pub and great shop.
I am actually struggling to find the right words to describe the facilities but I will give it a go. Stunning, immaculate, beautiful and perfect are four that spring to mind. I don't want to sound too 'gushing' (after all we are talking about showers and Loo's here) but until you see this place for yourself you cannot appreciate how well put together and well kept they are. The fittings are all high spec and would put put some high end hotels to shame.
It's always difficult to review a place that impresses you so much as a little part of you wants to keep it a secret. But Still Acres fully deserves to be publicly applauded for a job well done.
I highly recommend this site to discerning travellers. Whether you are in a tent, caravan or Motorhome You will not be disappointed (sorry families this is an adult only site) The only problem you may have is getting booked before me!

Our first visit to this very new site. In a party of 3 families age range 13 up to 60. 2 tents and 1 caravan. We were pitched altogether in a nice row. We really couldn't find fault. To the spotless facilities to the gorgeous view and all round friendliness, we are definitely likely to return. The only recommendation I would forward to the site owners would be that for groups without young children, try to place them away from the play park. It is quite close the the first row of pitches. I haven't been to a site where other families have allowed their kids to start playing on the park at 7. 30am. If I had younger children, I wouldn't allow it. I have been to sites where they have signs stipulating ''open'' times, I guess that is probably more down to parents having a bit more respect. Anyway, that for me was the only minor irritation.
The rest of the site was fantastic. The dog field was fantastic, clean and spacious and completely secure. The dog mess bins were a welcome sight too ! Well away from any roads, the only night time noise was the occasional horse. This is the cheapest site I have been to that includes electric and constant running hot water. The showers were gorgeous, the decor was contemporary and you can see that no expense has been spared with fittings and fixtures. I thought the idea of keeping the drinking water tap up high away from kids was a great feat. How many times I have seen kids turn a tap on and walk away. Here, they had to ask for things to be filled up.
With 3 ladies loo's inc 1 disabled and 3 spacious showers I didn't have to wait. Mens were the same as ladies but included 2 urinals. The 2 huge sinks at the washing up station were superb, they even provided a wash up bowl to use. Really thoroughly enjoyed our 3 night stay and can't recommend it enough.

Had a lovely stay here last weekend - did not spend much time at the site as using it as a base whilst visiting family and friends. Received a warm welcome on arrival - site very clean and well laid out. The owners have done a great job. Lovely spacious showers - my only grumble was that there are no hooks by the wash basins, so when you have had your shower no where to put your stuff while you clean your teeth/put on your moisturiser etc! Apart from that 10 out of 10. But to add to a previous review - a small shop would always benefit a site as there is nothing nearby.
