Fantastic site. Immaculately kept, spotless toilet facilities and friendly, helpful staff. A quiet site where we were in the adult-only area, perfect for a relaxing weekend. Paid £10 for a late check-out (5pm) which was worth it.
Visited Shrewsbury Town and The Quarry which is a lovely park with Percy Thrower's garden; so pretty. The Boathouse pub on the riverside by the park is great.
There is a group of shops within walking distance, right by the entrance to the site with a Chinese takeaway, Co-op, Greggs, chip shop and a couple of others, so plenty of choice if you don't fancy cooking!
The park-and-ride is also by the entrance to the site and cost only £2 for a return into Shrewsbury.
A great dog walk area on site and almost everywhere is dog-friendly in pubs and the town.
We will definitely be returning to this lovely site and can highly recommend.

This is a good site for caravans and we appreciated the adults only section.
It is close to the main road but it didn't bother us.
The showers were good and hot, nicely positioned so no clothes were going to stand a chance of getting wet.
A great place ot explore from, near to the village of Hope and a lovely walk across fields to castleton too.
The welcome on arrival was personal and the doggie walk and bins great!
Thanks for a pleasant stay

We arrived on site to a great welcome we were escorted to our pitch all gravel no grass on the front row next to the busy A road. Gravel not level so that was the first job. If this is advertised as a quiet site make sure you request a pitch away from the road! It’s busy till around 11pm then busy in the morning with people going to work. Anyway showers and toilets clean and tidy I always had a shower early in the morning so not busy. Recycling, glass, newspaper, no plastic or cans or paper odd!
There’s a tiny dog walk on site but a full field just off site with poo bins and gates. We traveled from Lancashire so no easy route we went over the snake pass A57 don’t use Winnets pass which the site does advise not to use when you travel. There’s a shop on site didn’t use it they sell calor gas.
Area lovely. Hope is a short walk with cafe’s and pubs and walks. We went to the traveller’s inn which is a short walk right out of the site, lovely meal we took the dogs and they were welcome. Win hill is the hill to the north steep climb but great views over ladybower and derwent res’s on a clear day.
There’s loads of walking in the area Mam tor is nearby, plus cycling, drives and motorcycles in the area.
Overall great site but not easy to get to for us. I’d request a grass pitch away from the road if we go again. More recycling please from the owners!

This excellent site is in a fantastic position close to hope village where there is everything you need from pubs, local shops and a takeaway.
There is plenty of walking trails right from the camp, there is a bus stop right outside and a train station within walking distance if you want to venture further afield.
The staff at the site are very friendly and will give you a very warm welcome, nothing is to much trouble.

A great site in a great location, I'm sure everything there is to know has been said before.
Our one criticism was the toilets and shower blocks were freezing cold and not luxury. We think it was partly due to leaving doors propped open for Covid reasons but this seemed totally unnecessary, maybe a window. Other campsites are not doing this. Totally put me off having a second shower.
The blocks were no way near as luxury as a Caravan Club site and for these reasons the pitch price was overpriced. Disappointing.

Excellent site, beautiful location, large but quiet, great clean facilities, very well organised.
Very friendly and helpful staff.
Five minute walk into Hope, great pub and restaurant. Castleton ten minutes drive.
Five minute walk to Hope station, trains to Edale, Manchester and Sheffield.
Other great pubs and Chip Shop within ten minutes drive. Will visit again.

Laneside is a great site.
Good hot clean showers. Shop full of essentials. Friendly staff.
There is some noise from the road but it didn’t bother us at all.
Great location and 5 minutes walk into Hope village where the Old Hall Hotel has great beer and food.
Lovely walk across fields into castleton.
Would definitely recommend and return

Fantastic site, very friendly welcome and everything is so clean and well organized,
Superb location and great transport links on the doorstep, stunning scenery and lovely walks,
Very well priced too with no silly add ons for showers and electrics, unlike some these days!
