Excellent.
Just returned from a four night stay at Venus Campsite. The site is really nice and very peaceful.
I was welcomed by Sarah on arrival who checked everything was ok. During the stay we fancied a takeaway and Sarah even offered to pick this up for us, we declined but this was service above and beyond.
Well done on such a great and friendly place to stay.

Visited Venus campsite for 2 nights excellent clean campsite.
The people that run the site are very nice, more then willing to help (out electric cable broke so they let us use a spare they had).
Sadly the we couldn’t use the facility’s (due to COVID) but that didn’t put us off.
Would definitely recommend and will be visiting again in the future

Spacious pitches. We chose a serviced pitch which was hard standing. The entire site is attractive well looked after. Toilets and shower closed due to covid so can’t comment.
We didn’t put an awning up (extra charges apply) but there would have been plenty room.
As others have commented, there is some road noise during the day but didn’t bother us. Location easy access from A1 and plenty places to visit nearby.

The site including the toilets and showers was spotless. Our host Sarah was very helpful and friendly.
It is very convenient for Thisk which has an outdoor market twice a week. And also Ripon which has a fantastic cathederal also only 2 miles away is Rainton which has a pub with the best pub food you will find and at the right price
I would certainly stay there again if the opportunity arose. Kev

Nice little site. Owners friendly.
You can hear the traffic but if your like my husband he slept through it 😊
Only one shower for the site but we never had to wait for it as we showered around 6/7pm ish

Just had 3 nights here and it is a cracking little site. Great location and very well set out. Had a hard standing double size pitch as we had our car with us as well and loads of room but reckon other pitches would have been more than adequate for our needs.
Water, electric and waste. All you need. Grass well kept and the single toilet and shower were very welcome, clean and functional. Both myself agreed it was a very relaxing site, little bit of road noise but don't let that put you off.
No one there on our arrival but gate open for us and Stan did give me info over phone as to what pitch we were on and popped round next morning to make sure all was fine.
Paid £20/night plus £1/night for car and reasonably ok with that but did observe that previous guest in November had only paid £16/night but had a great time and certainly look forward to going back sometime.

Returned from five nights at this nice little site. Owners Stan and Sarah very helpful and welcoming. Toilet and shower very clean and certainly fit for purpose. Elsan point and rubbish bins next to toilet block. Hard standings with water per pitch and EHU. Paving slab in grass for BBQ along with a picnic table. Farmers shop within walking distance. Worth the £16. 00 per night fee. Will be returning.

A lovely site within easy reach of the A1. All pitches hardstanding and fully serviced. Shower and toilet facilities were very clean. A lot of care has gone into this site and it shows. Grass was well kept and owner very friendly, even writing down directions for us to get back to A1 to avoid a long diversion because of roadworks. Would definitely return if travelling north again.
