Don't come here expecting peace and quiet, the site sits between 2 horrendously busy roads that thunder with traffic all day and most of the night! also the runway of Oxford airport is just a short distance away so what sounds like heavy lorries may actually be jets. Who knew Oxford even had an airport? not us! there are some quiet pitches to be had, these are the ones that adjoin the field facing you as you enter the site but they were all taken when we arrived.

We received a very friendly and informative welcome from the warden. There are no laundry facilities on site but the toilet block is very clean as is the norm with the Caravan Club. It's a couple of years since we stayed on a CC site but I don't remember them being as poorly lit at night as this one is, you need a torch to visit the loo unless you're pitched close to it.

If you fancy a classy takeaway there is a 'steak and frites' van that calls a couple of times a week, and we'd definitely recommend that. Woodstock is a very cute Cotswold-esque town about 20 minutes' walk away and has a disproportionately large choice of pubs and eateries for such a small place.

In the other direction lies Bladon which doesn't seem to have much going for it other than Churchill's grave in St Martin's churchyard, definitely take a look but it's not a pleasant walk being along said horrendously busy main road. We visited the nearby Cotswold towns including Burford, Moreton-in-Marsh, Stow on the Wold and Chipping Norton and that made a nice day out.

Bletchley Park, the home of the Enigma code-breakers, is just south of Milton Keynes and is easily reachable, this is an absolute must if you like 20th-century history, it is fascinating.

We enjoyed our stay but probably won't be back, no reflection on the site but we've now been there, done that.

We had stayed here earlier in the season and taken the annual pass upgrade at Blenheim. We had booked to see James Bond in Spectre at the Luna Cinema on the south lawn of Blenheim Palace, where a screen is set up using the palace as backdrop.

Take the chairs from the caravan, small table, wine, gin & snacks and make a fantastic evening. Then return to the caravan pitched at Bladon, on a grass pitch front in to wake up to the sheep in front of you; what more perfect a way to spend a weekend. The site is lovely, well kept by the friendly wardens, and appears well used over the season, but to no detriment.

We walked to Churchill's grave and around a different part of the grounds of Blenheim than on previous visits. The CC discount on the admission and upgrade to annual pass, combined with events advised is making this one of our favourite CC sites.

Would be even better if open over the winter to enjoy the Xmas events at Blenheim and to wake to snow and walk round the grounds, if it comes.

Used the site for a 1 night stopover, very nice and well maintained site, plenty of space even though full.

Wardens helpful and suggested the Black Prince pub the far side of Woodstock - we went (an easy walk away) and it had a nice situation, good real ale and decent well priced food, much cheaper than the others in the centre of Woodstock - would stay again

Great Visit. Beautiful site, great facilities and brilliant wardens. Only minor criticism is that it could do with a few more hard standing pitches.

Not too far from Oxford and it is only a short walk to a bus stop with very regular buses to and from Oxford. Was hoping to try out the cycle route but circumstances dictated other wise.

It is only a short walk to Blenheim Palace and the village of Woodstock. The Palace is a must place to visit and Woodstock is a very nice village with plenty of pubs and restaurant. Though all the pubs we visited in Woodstock were on the whole pretty expensive they were all excellent in their own ways.

This is a lovely site and we hope to return soon as we didn't get to do all that we wanted in this visit.

I would greatly recomment this site.

This was our first time out with our new motorhome and it couldn't have been better (apart from the fact that we had to stay on site for a whole day to wait for a repair guy!). Staff were friendly and extremely hard working.

The site was immaculate; grassed areas, washing up, toilets and showers all highly maintained but it was relaxed and peaceful. Excellent location for Blenheim Palace and town.

Half the site is on a slope but the pitches are fairly level, spacious and open, great for viewing the rest of the site. Loved it and would return. NB: If you stay here and visit the palace you get in for half price and can convert that ticket to an annual pass for free.

You can hear a little of the traffic from what, during the day, is a very busy road nearby but that's realistic for being to near to Blenheim to be able to easily walk there.

Spent the late May Bank Holiday here. Lovely site in amongst the trees. Used a grass pitch opposite the lambs in the field next door. Facilities all you could want. Wardens keep the site pristine, cutting the grass as each pitch is vacated.

The CC discount at Blenheim Palace is well worth it, we upgraded at no cost to an annual pass and went over 3 days. There was a food and drink event on, so lots of tastings done.

Walked to Churchill's grave in Bladon itself. Covered a lot of grounds of Blenheim, but lots more to see on future visits over the next year. We will return.

Great site, handy for buses into Oxford. Friendly, helpful wardens and the toilet facilities are up to the high standards we have got used to, and are kept beautifully clean. The one big problem with the site is the grass pitches which are very soft after any rain.

When we arrived the wardens were helping to dig out a 4 ton motorhome that was trying to leave and had got stuck. The wardens gave us latticed rubber mats to put under our driving wheels, and we got off okay when we left a couple of days later, but with some damage to the grass. Surely the club, considering the prices it charges, could afford to put in more hard standings.

Failing that, perhaps hard standings could be reserved for pre-booked motorhomes, as they are the ones who have most trouble on soft pitches. It would save problems for members and be a lot less hassle for the wardens.

Just one other suggestion: why not replace the lift-up manhole cover for the motorhome waste water with drive-over grid?

Mainly grass pitches (62 grass and 31 hard-standings) at this CC site set at the edge of Blenheim Palace grounds. Large pitches, friendly wardens but slightly dated and undersized toilet block for number of pitches on this site. The most helpful, friendly and hardworking wardens I have ever encountered on a CC site (starting before 9 and helping after 6). No Wi-Fi on site and patchy phone reception.

However the splendid majestic Palace and gardens is less than a mile away and offers site users an amazing 30% discount on entrance charges to the house and garden. The ticket provides 12 months access which is ideal for repeat visits whilst staying on the site (needed as there is so much to do and view at Blenheim).

The very petty Woodstock village provides access to the Palace with local shops, eateries and a well-stocked Coop.

Bus ride just outside the site takes you to Oxford or a mainly traffic free cycle route for the 5 mile ride into the City.

Brilliant location for visiting Blenheim Palace and surrounding area. Only stayed for three nights, should have been much more. Will definitely be back to this site and explore more of the area.

Enjoyed our stay at site mainly due to the location. Very close to Woodstock pretty village, with shops pubs (dog friendly), museum and Blenheim palace. Very good public transport buses to oxford and Witney as well as trains to oxford.

Usual site facilities pot wash, laundry facilities, play ground.

The negative some of the pitches where short we were right next to road. Depending where you where there's some road noise. Could do with some more showers only four and often full.

Overall would stop again but try and get there early to get a better pitch.

Not the friendliest of sites and lacked any atmosphere, not sure why. We were told we could choose from just 3 pitches even though lots more were empty, but obviously coned off for regulars!

However it is very handy for Blenheim Palace and a walk into the charming Woodstock, also a walk to Bladon churh, Winston Churchills resting place a must.

Would not return to this site, cannot quite put my finger on why
