We have just returned from a weekend at this site. It is a very pleasant site with friendly wardens. A lot of the pitches are on a slight slope and there is also a bit of noise from the roads, nearby ambulance station and light aircraft. There is a reasonable dog walk in a wooded area, but I would think it could get quite muddy in wet weather. There is a very large field next to the site, but the only access is over a stile so no good if, like us, you have a large elderly dog. The toilet block is adequate but a bit dated and could do with refurbishing.

The site is easy to find just 7 miles from Oxford. The entrance has a large Late Arrivals area with a spacious Motorhome service point. The staff are friendly and booking in no problem. Once you have selected your pitch, keys to the toilet block are provided.T he site is in effect divided into two parks, intersected by the large and well maintained toilet block. There are Grass or Gravel hardstandings. The upper section is slightly sloping so levellers may be required, but both sections seem private with mature trees, hedges and a wall. Reception provides the essentials. Try the Free Range eggs (delicious) and newspapers can be ordered. There is a well stocked information room, with local places to eat & sample menus. Turn right outside the main gate and its a 10 minute walk to Bladon, the delightful churchyard has Churchills Grave, surrounded by his parents and son. There are souvenir postcards and small exhibition in the church. Turn left outside the maingate and the foot/cycle path takes you into the village of Woodstock (10 min walk) it has very well stocked Supermarket. Further afield, two minutes from the site on Bladon roundabout is a bus stop to Oxford (every 30 mins, Bus no 20 or 20a) return ticket cost me £4.50p to city centre. Blenheim Palace is a must, don't forget your site receipt as you can get a substantial discount (we used the woodstock church entrance). Kids and adults will like the Blenheim untold story, waxwork animatronics with interactive displays. Could spend a few hours there. A great site, will probably return. Weather during our visit was very poor though, got soaked.

Attractive site, mixture of hard standing and grass pitches. Some are overshadowed by trees - we got pelted by acorns by one of them, which didn't make for a restful night's sleep - will choose a different pitch next time!
V. Convenient for visiting the palace - don't forget to ask for the letter if you are going and make sure you turn up at the main road entrance - the entrance through the village can't do the discounted admissions.

Lovely site as others have said. Blenheim palace was great for the kids. I don't consider the house worth the fee. You do, however get a letter from the wardens which allows a discount as long as you have your receipt for the site too. We also took along tesco deals vouchers but these are NOT valid for just the grounds (red face!). The site itself is really friendly, but some of the pitches were waterlogged. This was not an issue for us as we had booked in advance. Driest months are June and July - August is wet! Loved the natural history museum at Keble College & it at least was free! Parks and Ride at water Eaton best value. Sounding like a skinflint? Some road noise which disturbed us on the first night but not after that. To sum up, lovely friendly site, will go back.

We are regular visitors to this pleasant site on the edge of Blenheim Park. It is an open site, dotted with a few trees and shrubs, overlooking pasture land, with a wooded break to the service road. The facilities are well up to the top end of the Clubs standards, the Reception is cheerful and handy for everyday items and the pitches are well spaced, it never truly feels full.
Walking is a joy around the park, where plenty of paths criss-cross, sneaking in the back gate is a bit naughty though. The local pub, The White House, serves a hearty meal, and if you can find your way across the park to The Black Prince, there is a good pint of Real Ale to be had.
The times the site is busy tends to be when there are functions in the park, concerts and Equestrian Sports, but apart from the Toilet Block gaining queues for the showers, the site copes really well otherwise. A good club site.

Just stayed one night to watch the Blenheim Triathlon. Excellent location for Blenheim, Bladon and Woodstock, all within walking distance. Usual CC facilities with the addition of grass pitches. As they were full we had been allocated a grass pitch (19) which was quite shallow but wide, we pitched side on which was not a problem. It was also dry and firm considering we had had a lot of rain, so much that we needed a push to get onto the parking at Blenheim the next day. Our pitch was close to the road which was busy during the day, but did not disturb us at night. Wardens where friendly and welcoming.
Bladon with Churchills Grave (worth seeing) and a pub was a short walk from the site. Woodstock is a bit further but an easy walk along the main road, it has a variety of Pubs and restaurants and is a very pretty place, well worth a walk around. We ate at the Star Inn, good reasonably priced pub food, friendly atmosphere. We would certainly use this site again.

This Camping Club site is in a lovely possition next to the grounds of Blenheim Palace. Facilities are typical of CC sites and are of a good quality and well maitained. The Staff are very friendly and helpful. The site is a mixture of hardstandings and grass and is dotted with mature trees. It is surrounded by busy roads which can make it a little noisy. Blenheim is great for a visit and the site has an arrangement with the palace for reduced rates. Churchills grave at Bladon Chains is well worth a visit and so of course is Oxford.

2001 Usual Caravan Club Standards. Spacious site on the door step of Blenheim Palace. Good base for Oxford and the Cotswolds. Not realy our cup of tea, we would have gone walking normally in Yorkshire, but due to F&M went here instead.Nice clean site though, some road noise and close to a small airport.
