Just got back from a long weekend here - facilities were very clean and the staff owners very friendly.
The site is a bit hilly but you therefore get better views across to the black mountains.
The children's play area was excellent with what looked like new climbing frames and swings etc - there is also a nice little woodland walk that backs onto the site. We were given a choice of pitches and told not to crowd anyone. Would recommend

Toilet block spotless, as was the dish washing area. Quiet at night, friendly people, helpful owners.
Local pub was welcoming and offered cooked food. The Honey Cafe also looked as if it offered good food [though we didn't eat there]. Very close to Brecon if you're after a big shop [Morrisons].
Would definitely recommend. :-)

Spent many happy years at this caravan site with a touring van. The Family who are the owners of this site are lovely people, the facilities are excellent and the views are amazing. Can't wait to go back.

We have just returned from 3 nights camping at this site, with our two collies and have really enjoyed being there. The owners are really helpful and friendly. The toilets, dishwashing facilities, rubbish recycling, children's area, dog walking area etc are very good. A Post Office is on the corner of the site, along with a hairdressers. There is a garage along the road with a small supermarket attached, with everything we needed. A cafe with gift shop etc is within walking distance.
A short drive away are lovely riverside walks, hill walks, interesting villages and towns, and of course Hay on Wye, the town of books.
If you like walking the hills you can park the car at the site and leave it there all week, walking the paths from the campsite. Our dogs were very happy and sleepy when we returned home, we will definitely be returning.

May 1999 We arrived on the site in our motorhome, and were booked in by a very friendly manager. He told us to just drive in and pick a pitch. What he didn't tell us was that the majority of the site is situated on a steep hillside ! We were unable to find a pitch suitable to park the motorhome level. Unless you are fortunate to find a grassed area which is level or one of the few hard standings, think carefully about going with a motorhome. We did get parked on a hard standing pitch in the end, and found the facilities excellent.

6th September 2003 Our first trip in our first motorhome, We had not booked but found the site had vacancies at 6.OOpm. Reception staff were very pleasant and informative. Could have had several paces but decided on hard standing and connected to hook-up.
Showers, wc's, waste and water facilities were spotlessly clean (20p for a shower). A shop and hairdresser were on site but we didn't use many facilities. Cost £9 plus £2 for hook-up.
We would use site again but tv aerial points were damaged.
