You could not find a more beautiful location. You can camp as close to the waters edge as you like and it's a real bonus being able to have a campfire.
Access to the field needs sorting out, there are some very deep, muddy puddles and potholes and opening and shutting the gate to the road is a real issue if you are travelling alone. The drainage on the actual field is also a problem but if you get dry weather none of this is an issue.
The shower blocks leave a lot to be desired but the water was hot and they did the job. It wasn't good that at 10am in the morning, out of about 6 toilet cubicles there was not one piece of toilet roll.
For £25 a night with no EHU there is no excuse for this. Trying to book via the website was incredibly difficult and unnecessarily complicated. When I phoned the office the first person I spoke to simply would not help. I rang back and got a different person who was extremely helpful and talked. Me through the process. This really needs sorting out as it should not be so difficult.
Overall the positives far outweighed the negatives as long as you are prepared to end up with a muddy vehicle and are not too fussy about shower facilities. Just remember this is a charitable organisation with probably little money to fix some of the above although much of it is fixable at no or little cost.
We will definitely go back there as it is very rare to find somewhere with immediate access to the lake and to be able to have a fire.

The Location of the campsite and whole facility is amazing when the weather is nice.
You have a great view of the lake and the mountains in the background.
You have access to the lake and to the grounds of the whole area which makes for a nice walk. We were a group of young adults 21-24 and it was a great place to visit.
We will definitely be visiting again.
