A pleasant site alongside the river, a few static vans, with an area for tourers with electric linkups and the rest of the field for tents. This site has two drawbacks especially if you are only doing an overnight stay. The site reception is half a mile away up a steep hill and the site charges a £10 deposit for a key to access the toilet block. If you arrive on foot or bicycle this is a real nuisance for an overnight stay necessitating two trips up the hill . The site owner was not prepared to come to the site to collect the key and return the deposit. Locking the toilet block means you can't both go for a shower at the same time, if you have children they always have to be taken. The toilet block is new and clean with good facilities although for a site of this size there is only one dishwashing sink outside and no sink in the laudry room if you just want to rinse out small items. I think that had we not just cycled 35 miles to get here and not knowing where the next site was we would probably have moved on rather than stay here.

Thank you very much to the owners of this my family and I had an incredible time at your site. We will definitely be visiting you again soon. The site is a quite, peaceful, relaxing place for all the family, I have never been to a site that is so clean and well looked after. I have small children and teenagers and they all enjoyed themselves very much.

Lovely site, lovely owners, lovely location, will definitely go back many times. We have two (responsible) dogs and have visited the site twice already. Lovely local walks and ideal for the dogs to go swimming. Good nightlife in N.Emlyn and great pub just up the road.

Newcastle Emlyn was a lovely place to visit, a local store a very short walk from the site and a beautiful river and walkway close by too.
The Toilet facilities were fantastic on this site and well deserve the awards they have been given, they are one of the best toilet and shower blocks I have ever seen on any campsite, but unfortunely I was very disappointed with this site. We booked a camp pitch with electric hookup but when we arrived Mrs Owen advised she had no pitches with electric as she was expecting a rally the next day. She asked us as they were going to be so busy the following day could we please pitch our tent at the bottom of the field (which was very course indeed). The following day no rally arrived, in fact only one other tent arrived and the field only had about 10 tents in it, there were also 4 electric hookup sites empty for the two nights we stayed.
