Lovely lovely people running the site. Quirky, homely, welcoming.
Fab walks - down the Croft to the coast path and off in either direction.
Just a wonderful start to three weeks wandering the outer Hebrides.
And fridge cake. Wow!

What a great site. Very welcoming and helpful host.
All the facilities we needed and the owner selling free range eggs and extremely delicious brownies and fudge.
Great spot to walk to the lighthouse from through the croft field, with a few surprises along the way, and then follow the rugged coast where we spotted numerous seals.
Highly recommended.

Great place to stay, gravel pitches and ehu.
Drinking water available and cassette emptying at nearby sports centre.
View of Ness from the campsite. Nearby lighthouse well worth a visit, but busy during the day.
We went back at 20. 00 and managed to see dolphins.
A beach is also within walking distance.

Fabulous site, no facilities, lovely hosts, great location, quirky site 'decorations', great for dogs, even better for humans, site charges far too cheap.
Best site in the Hebrides but you have to be self sufficient. All usual facilities at the Community Centre about 15minute walk from site. Cash machine at far end of croft, (cash always available tomorrow!).
Instant access to the cliff paths to Butt of Lewis lighthouse and to Port Ness - fabulous, easy walks along spectacular rock and cleft cliff formations.
Grass pitches can be slippery and vans can get stuck, but the land rover is always on hand to get the inexperienced drivers out of trouble - all part of the fun.
So good to find such a simple site concept with no frills, small and quiet, and £5 a night is ridiculously cheap.
We will return for a week or more next time. Loved it. (And the weather was awful both days we were there, but that did nothing to spoil our enjoyment).
Totally recommended for smaller units.
