July 2004 First ever camping holiday and what a great site. Quiet, lovely views of the mountains and across the sea. Safe for the kids, nice people running the camp and met some very helpful fellow campers (who helped the wife and me erect the tent in very dodgy winds!). Showers clean, 20p, a small indoor swimming pool and a childrens park at the back of the enclosed duck pond. Well worth the visit. Mind the bunnies running around during the night. Great holiday, we will be back!

AUG 2003 After lots of searching, I can now say that my wife and I have now found our perfect site. Silecroft is a friendly, family, spacious, quiet, picturesque, fully equipped, near the beach, close to the lake district, damn good camp site. It has all the ammenities you require, down to wash room with washing machine, tumble dryer, ironing board and iron. There is a childrens play area, that is neatly tucked in its own secluded area. The tent area which is next to the pond is full of ducks and moorhens, which are very amusing to watch. And the beach.Ohhhhhh, what a beach. We were there in 95deg heat and spent all weekend making sandcastles and swimming in the warm, clean, SAFE, sea.
CONCLUSION: THIS IS A TOP, TOP SITE AND WE WILL DEFINITELY BE RETURNING VERY SOON. NICE ONE SILECROFT

Aug 2002 Top site, good facilities, just have a look at the website! Great views in all directions. The sea, Hills, and fields what more can you ask for. Not only that it is effectively at the end of a cul-de-sac so it is quiet. It is a family site, but very relaxed. I found the people on the site very down to earth and friendly. It is a good base for ventures out with much to see, the roads around this area are quiet. I also strongly recommend nearby Broughton in Furness, for a meal with several places producing excellent food for a great price. Finally I all most forgot, the beach miles and miles of it, which is very clean and on a good day you can see the Isle of Man.

august 2002 My family and I have just returned from an excellent 6 days camping here. Whether you are after peace and relaxation or a more adventurous holiday, this is an ideal base for whatever your doing. A friendly atmosphere surrounds the site, staff and fellow holiday makers cannot be more helpful. A stones throw away is the beach which stretches for miles in both directions, the kids ( 8&4 ) sat for hours making sandcastles as the glorious sun set on the horizon. Also a short drive or walk takes you to the impressive mountains of the Lake Disrict, with the dramatic scene of Wastwater only a short drive away. A great place with great people I would recommend Silecoft park to anyone.

every year My in-laws introduced me to this campsite and since then we go every year. Our 9 year old son loves it the beach is very very clean and if you have dogs the owners dont have a problem with them. The site is very quiet and they have very good washing facilities and spotless shower cubicles. From the Holden family please give it a visit and like us you will want to go again and again. We are going again in August this year
happy camping to you all

May 2002 Visited this camp site for the third time at the 2002 May Bank Holiday. Set in a secluded, beach side area of Silecroft village (one post office/shop and one pub) this is a wonderful site to get away from it all.
The tent pitches are all beside the duck pond and near to the small children’s play area.
The owners are very friendly and always willing to help.
The showers are clean and hot, there are laundry facilities and a washing up room, there is also an indoor swimming pool with a jazcuzzi and a small gym and sauna (fees payable).
The clean beach is about 100 yards away and is great for beachcombing and exploring.
If you get fed up of cooking their is a pub in the village which serves good food.
Silecroft in my opinion is an ideal site on which to relax and get away from it all.
