This was our second visit to the site, the first being 2002. The old toilet blocks at the front have been demolished, and there is now an office and small shop there.
The site is clean and well maintained, with good toilet and shower facilities including hairdryers. There is also a washing machine and dryer available each one is on a meter which takes £1 coins. There are also sinks available for laundry and washing of plates etc.
There is good provison for fresh water from the standpipes located throughout the site.
All in all i can recommend this site, and if things go to plan we will be back there later in the year.
The one downfall of the site is its proximity to a trainline.

This is a nice, medium sized site, close to the beach at Bolton-Le-Sands.
Don't be put off when you arrive - the old toilet block is being knocked down. There are a few statics and then fields for tourers and a tent field. The tent field is good, flat ground (unlike the touring field). The only drawback here is that the main West Coast railway runs right next to the tent field, so you do get a lot of trains flying past.
The toilets/showers were clean and plentiful hot water. There are no other facilities on site (the reception hut does sell a few basics). An ideal base to view the surrounding Lancashire coast/south Cumbria.
I have to mention we didn't stay - we visited some friends who were staying - but we looked around as a prospective site. Charges around £8 per night.
Depends what you want - after looking around, we decided that we wouldn't want to stay there.
