Apart from the campsite and the pub on the main road as you turn in, there isn't a lot more to Llangadfan apart from it's seclusion. Having said that, it is an excellent base for touring mid Wales. We easily travelled as far as Corris, Aberystwyth, Devils Bridge and Welshpool to ride on the little trains of Wales. The site is a mixture of Statics and what can only be described as residential touring vans that haven't been moved in a long time by the left of the grass under them. We were the only motor-home on site and could only see one or two other touring vans along with a hand full of tented campers. There doesn't appear to be any hard standing pitches Cars were not allowed to park on the grass, and we got one or two funny looks from other residents for being on the grass. The site is well groomed and I was very conscious of parking on the grass and decided to park on the non-slip mats with the forecast for heavy rain. The Afon Banwy run along side the site and tree line the banks and are dotted around the site. Perfect habitat for birds which can be seen by the abundance of bird boxes and nut bags. Site facilities are good with ample water points within easy reach of all vans, so close in fact that many were filling their kettles direct from the tap. A heated shower blower block with free showers in two cubicles. Saturday night brought a power cut along all the campers out of their vans for a chat. 10mins later, thanks to prompt action by the site owners we were boiling the kettle once again. The larger type motor-home may find access a little difficult as there is a very tight bend on a steep hill to access the touring within section of the site. All in all, we enjoyed our stay despite the terrible weather. Yes we would certainly use the site again. The site is in need of a couple of hard-standing pitches to cater for the heavier motor-home, but that's just a personal view.

We loved this site, very peaceful and quiet. In fact for one day of our stay we were the only caravanners there-- bliss! The toilets and washing facilities were very clean, but showers a bit basic but adequate. No traffic noise, but plenty of ducks, herons and other wild life on the river running by the site. Lovely surrounding country side. Would definitely go again!

June 2004 This is a very friendly site which is located ideally for those wishing to explore mid wales. We found it to be clean and well maintained. It is very quiet just what we were looking for, not for those who wish to party in a club as there is not one (but we knew this). The only thing we thought would have been handy was a little shop with the basic supplies, as friends of our forgot the little this like tea bags and sugar :-) and had to use ours. The nearest shop is a drive away of about a mile or so, not Ideal if you're in a camper van. Other than no little shop, no fault could be found with this site a bonus was that the electricity is in with the per night charge and not added to it. We will be going here again.

A wonderfully quiet and relaxed camp site with excellent and friendly staff always on hand.
Theres nowhere better to get away from everything and just chill out.
If your looking for excitement this is not the place, but if youre look for a bit of piece and tranquility youve hit the mark.
An excellent base to explore the sites of mid-wales.
