We came down on Good Friday not knowing wether we were staying for 1 or 2 nights. After finding other camps nearby to busy or expensive we found Tyddyn Adi a godsend. The road up was a little bumpy but no problem. We had loads of room in 1 of their many fields and toilets / showers were plentlyful and clean and the whole place was quiet and relaxed (except when the 4x4's with jetskis trundle past but that wasn't a real issue). On the whole we had a great stay and would recommend this as a basic campsite any time!

The approach to site is in need of serious repair. Heavily potholed of which some are deep. Extreme care required to avoid damage to vehicle. Having read the marvellous reports I was a little shocked. Yes, even with it being very late in the season I was not expecting such a run down site. The toilet block was clean, but very cold likewise the showers too equally cold. Free 50p showers tokens are no compensation for not having hot water. Fortunately the van has it own, so not much of a problem. Our main problem arrived the following morning when to our horror the hard standing pitch was nothing more than a mud hole after the heavy overnight rain. It needed the help of my wifes shoulder on the back of the van to get us out of the hole.
Would I use this site again.
Yes, but only in high season when the ground is hard. Even then I would stay on the grass and leave the mud holes to the lady wrestlers.

Stayed at this site for a weekend at the start of the summer hols. Really great site. The owners are so friendly. There is lots of space at least 5 fields to choose from. Although fairly busy you didn't feel crowded as the field was large. Washing up/toilets/showers were clean with plenty of hot water. Separate basin cubicles in the showers as well which was nice. There were no other facilities but plenty of room for the kids/dogs to play. Our pitch was on the field furthest away which was fairly flat but not sure what the other fields were like. There was a mix of tents and caravans at this site. The owners allowed bbq's A 15min walk through the static site opposite bought you the the most fantastic beach (black rock). Nearest supplies were around a 10 min walk away with a well stocked shop and a chippie. Otherwise Porthmadog is your nearest town(10 min drive) and this is busy with plenty of parking, shops, pubs and takeways. We would definitely return to this site as the owners were just so friendly and let us book over the phone.

Very basic and not clean, but many showers and toilets. No locks on shower doors, or safe if children were around due to size of each door. No where to place or hang belongings whilst in shower. Shop stocked only fizzy drinks and ice cream. Couldn't locate the play area, golf course or TV room. A lot of space, if carefully pitched. Children seemed to gather in the wooded hilly area, out-of-sight but very noisy.

Had a fantastic weekend with my husband and 2 year old daughter. Plenty of space for the children to play in, not at all a cramped site like some of the others we looked at on the beach. The farmer has plenty of toilets and showers and even though it was a very busy weekend they were all clean and we did not have to que once. The beach is a 10 minute walk away so no problem when you want to visit. There a 5 big fields but we picked the first field as no camper vans or caravans on it however mainly tents on all fields. It was very quiet although the camper vans made a bit of noise early evening they all went quiet at 11 so everyone was able to get a good nights sleep. Close to Portmerion and only a short drive to Abersoch & Phwelli. Perfect will be visiting again soon!

We have been using this site now for 5 years. We enjoy our holiday. The site has a wash room with both washers and driers, 2 sinks with constant running hot water, a shower room and with separate cubicles with sinks and shower curtains round them. There is a newly built building with toilet facilities. Even though this site is basic the atmosphere is great for a family and the manager and staff are always happy to help. On arrival last year there had been work done thoughout the winter adding more electric points doubling the amount of hook ups. We love our holiday at this site and would recommend to any friends and families which we do.

I have just spent a pleasant long weekend camping at this site. Had a great time, weather was good, I found the shower and toilet block's to be clean. The chemical disposal point is not sign posted, but not that hard to locate. Site entrance is pot holed and could be a bit of strain on the shocks and the fields are not the best kept we have ever stayed on. but nothing that spoilt the stay. Found the site staff very pleasant at all times. Would stay here again.

April 2004 Looks like the showers have been renovated but are still basic. They are however clean with plenty of hot water - 5 mins for 50p. Site itself is very pretty indeed nestling under the hills with a small waterfall in the corner. There are a few pitches with hook ups but elsewhere it's a free-for-all. The kids loved the hillside walks and the fact that the beach was so close. Shop(?) on site is VERY basic. The Ffestiniog railway is only a few miles away and a ride out to the Slate Caverns is an absolute must! There is a local Spar shop and fish & chips in the village and one or two places for shopping and eating in the (not our cup of tea) campsite just over the road. One extra word of advice; it's absolutely essential to take a good torch out at night. The site is full of sheep which makes for very interesting pitch-black walks home! Would definitely visit again.

August 2002 Stayed here for ten days. Some pitches marked out for electric, a bit close together though. Plenty of space for tents though. Some areas of the tent fields were underwater during heavy rain. Toilet blocks not very nice (dirty and spiders) but the showers were very hot and 50p for a token! Chemical point overflowed while we were there. Handy for the beach. Watch out for the sheep that break in through the fence.

july 2003 We visited the site with our two children for a week. We liked the fact that it is close to the beach and pretty central for visiting other places. The site manager was very friendly. The toilet and shower blocks were very basic and could have been cleaner, plenty of very hot water though, they are also a bit of walk from some areas of the site, and you have you buy tokens for the showers. The campsite itself was well maintained, quiet and litter free. Overall a very basic site handy for the beach and exploring this part of Wales.
