Had we not been on pitch 15, which is sandwiched between the toilets and the bins, I might have given this site a high score.
But I’m equally miffed that when we saw 2 cracking sea view pitches that were empty, the steward 2 days running said that we couldn’t move there as they were booked, yet nobody pitched there the whole time!
This site is good with great facilities, just a shame the steward wasn’t more helpful and just check you’re not on pitch 15

Great campsite with excellent facilities.
Views from the site are amazing if you're lucky enough to have a pitch facing the sea.
Lovely to wake up hearing the pheasants and birds. Toilets are shared at the moment but there are plenty and private cubicles.
Loved the boot and dog wash.

We travelled to Gibraltar Farm Campsite on Sunday 25th September. Instructions on the website were easy to follow from the M6 and we arrived ahead of the 2pm entry time.
The campsite is located on a working dairy farm and we did have to drive through some cow slurry before entering the site down a steep slope. The Stewards allowed us to book in early and as there was a choice of pitches we chose one with extensive views across Morecambe Bay.
Each tourer pitch has EHU and water making life easier, with only grey and black water to dispose of into the facilities provided. The toilet and shower block has cubicles for both able and disabled campers, communal hand basins, boot and dog wash, and washing up basins.
It was a bit chilly to use them early morning or late evening but kept very clean by the stewards. In fact, the stewards kept the grounds well tended with mowers and strimmers used on every day we were there. A small wild flower garden had been established which myst have looked very colourful in the summer.
The terraced site has a large number of permanent or semi permanent caravans, some if which have created gardens and boundaries with ornaments and lights (solar powered?). Waste disposal bins are located by the grass plots enclosure but we couldn’t find any recycling bins which are usually expected nowadays. WiFi is available and works best within 50m if the toilet block.
Fields and a wood adjoin the site with lots of dog walkers taking advantage of short walks and using the poo bins (mostly). Being late September it was quiet, with spectacular sunsets and the dark skies allowed amazing views of the stars and constellations.
There are numerous walks nearby, our favourite being a circular to Jenny Brown point via Jack Scout and around the bay through woods to Hollins Lane and back to Gibraltar Farm. RSPB Leighton Moss reserve is a must for keen ornithologists or familied, with buses running from Woodwell Lane to Silverdale Station, a short walk away. We had a lunch at the Silverdale Hotel and the best beef and onion pie I’ve ever eaten.
The chips are cooked in beef dripping (a northern favourite) and tasted fantastic but not for vegetarians! The village also has a very well stocked Co-op store, butcher, newsagents/P. O. , other independent shoos and weekly activities organised by local charity groups.
Overall, Gibraltar Farm is a very well kept campsite with good facilities located in a beautiful part of N. W. Lancs and real value for money at £26/night for two adults, without awning.
We will definitely go there again.

This is the second year I have been to Gibraltar Farm and was my first choice.
It's in a lovely spot and the village is only a hop, skip and jump away.
Nice walks along the coast line and in line through the woods.
The toilet/shower (etc) block is always lovely and clean and the wardens are very helpful.
Easy to get to and a relaxed atmosphere. Of course, being on the coast, if there is wind it is breezy here.
Definitely worth a try, I am sure you will be back, as I will.

We had a tap on our pitch as well as EHU. We had a problem levelling our motorhome even with levellers.
Site has fantastic views and is very clean. The utility block is cleaned regularly and well looked after.
A short walk through the site takes us down to a small shingle beach. Sadly no swimming because of the quicksand but still worth a sit.
We walked down to Jenny Brown’s point, a pleasant walk and worth taking a picnic with you.
We did go for breakfast butties at the art gallery just outside the farm entrance -very expensive but a captive audience.
There is a farm shop just outside the entrance which sells fresh eggs and jams and chutneys.
The warden said that we could empty our grey waste tank at a grid in the farm when leaving but sadly our motorhome would not fit under the overhanging pipe.
We will return.

Well organised site with friendly wardens. The facilities were very good and we saw them being cleaned twice daily.
The location is very peaceful with beautiful views across the bay and we were lucky enough to see a couple of gorgeous sunsets. There are lots of walks from the site, so we didn't need to go out in the van at all once we were there, which was probably just as well because the roads in the area are narrow and windy. This could be a bit of a challenge in high season.
The Woodlands Hotel was interesting for drink (they don't serve food) and we enjoyed the food at The Silverdale Hotel and The Wolfhouse Cafe opposite the site entrance. Their cinnamon buns straight out of the oven were divine!
We definitely plan to return.

This is a lovely site with fantastic views across Morecombe Bay and some enjoyable walks straight off the site.
Only negative was the lack of heating in the shower block which was surprising given the site's open all year round status.
