We(2 adults and 2 children ages 8& 4) just spent the last week at this holiday park,we had booked for 14 nights but had to cut it short to 6 nights due to very bad weather. We had a serviced tent pitch.(There are only 10 serviced tent pitches)
It is a lovely site very well kept and very clean. You can see that the new owners have spent money on the site.
The play park is excellent, it has a large pirate ship climbing frame and swings and a bouncy castle, there is also mini crazy golf and a very small ball pit, all of which is free.
There is an indoor pool with a small slide and a free sauna for adults. There is no life guard in the pool area.
Now for the down side, if you are a tent be warned if it has been raining the field quickly turns into a swamp!
Also there is no shelter as the camping field is on the top of a hill with great view of the sea. So if it is windy is is very windy. When we stayed we had terrible weather heavy rain and high winds. The night before the main storm there were 7 tents in the field when we woke the next morning at 7am we were the only tent left standing the winds were 46mph with gusts up to 58mph.
We left 2 days after the storm as there was another storm due & heavy rain and the field was get too much like a swamp. We were in the best position on the camping site as we were right by the road so didn't get our car stuck in the mud.
All in all the site is excellent if you are not in a tent, if you are a touring caravan the set up is great because you have much more shelter and level pitches with a hard standing.
The beach is only half a mile away down hill, it is a shingle beach with a little bit of sand and 2 water falls and rock pools. This beach has a life guard. There is a car park at the beach £3.50 all day or free to national trust members.
I hope this honest review helps, I would also say we did have a quick drive round the area to look at different camp sites, and this was by far the best site in the area.If the camping pitches were improved it would be excellent.

Stayed in a lodge. Very nice wooden lodge with good facilities. Very child-friendly with playground, swimming pool and plenty of areas to explore. Within easy walking/driving distance of beautiful beaches and coastal walks.

Stayed in a static caravan here for 2 weeks booked via Hoseasons brochure. Sadly it wasn't a good experience as our caravan had seen better days. It was filthy from top to bottom, ingrained dirt in the carpets and upholstery, stains on the beds etc. The bed was not full sized and the mattress was broken. My partner cut his leg open on a shard of metal that poked through it during the night. The doors had gaps between them and the frames to the extent that you could see the sky and it let the rain in when it rained.
The pool was dirty and so we didn't use it and didn't use any of the entertainment facilities so can't comment on them. Location wise fantastic spot with Sandymouth beach down the hill with a large car park. Terrific sunsets to be seen if you sit on the cliffs at nightfall and the South West coast path is easily accessible. Easy drive into Bude and Tintagel, Boscastle, Clovelly etc all a reasonable distance away.
I went and bought a tent for our next holiday, followed by a caravan the year after!

We have just had a lovely weeks holiday at Sandymouth Bay. With gorgeous views over the bay and Bude. Our caravan pitch was spacious, with room at the sides for the awning, a car and space for chairs and a BBQ as well! The site staff were very helpful. As were the entertainment staff, who kept our 3 children (9, 7 and 3 years) very busy in the evenings. The showers and toilet blocks were very clean and presentable. The indoor swimming pool was lovely with nice sized changing areas and a sauna. The meals at the clubhouse were really good prices and very varied. All in all I would recommend this site to any family.

This was a lovely site with all the facilities you could ask for. Everything was clean and in a very good state of repair. Check in was very relaxed and we were given a very good welcome pack which gave information on everything that was happening on the site for the week as well as forthcoming events for the season. It also contained details of many surrounding attractions. The toilets and showers were free, hot and spotlessly clean. There weren't any queues for either. Even the washing up facilities were so clean that I decided to use these occasionally rather than wash up in the caravan. The views from the level pitches are absolutely beautiful and you can wake up and look at the sea out of your window. You also get to see the sunset on this coast. The site club was really good value with fantastic entertainments staff who really tried hard to help everyone have a good time. There were kids clubs and activities during the day and family entertainment in the evening. Later in the evening was adults cabaret with some really good acts but we were never embarrassed to have our nine year old daughter with us. All in all we thought the staff went above and beyond the call of duty to entertain us. On one evening there was a fire alarm on site and the staff chatted to all of the guests in a really friendly and natural way. There was quite a bit of building work going on on site but this was tucked out of the way and we were not affected by it at all. The on site shop sold all of the normal basic stuff but there is a Morrisons not far away in Bude and we used this most of the time as it was convenient. Bude is an interesting little town with some nice shops. The indoor swimming pool was clean and well maintained and was supervised all of the time we were there. The location of this site was very good for touring the north east coast of Cornwall with Bude, Boscastle, and Crackington Haven all within easy reach as well as North Devon being fairly close the other way. We are determined to visit this site again this year and will be really disappointed if we cannot find the time.

Spent Easter at this site, the location was perfect & the views are stunning. The walk to the beach/cove was down steep single track road, but it was well worth it. The toilets were spotlessly clean and there was a huge field for the kids to play ball games.there was even a kids club. The site its tiered so is a bit of steep walk to the clubhouse and fantastic indoor pool (water was heated but a little chilly). The site mainly caters for statics so would be a good choice to hire a van if you wished. There is a large field for tents. The touring pitches were large, grassed & fairly level. And you could see the sea from your windows. Could not fault this site and would definitely go back

This site has the potential to be great. Magnificent views, nice club house and entertainment and indoor pool, all well kept. Also a little bistro which has some reasonable meals to takeaway or eat in. The pitches were great too - very spread apart. Unfortunately the field had grass enough to feed many sheep and it was very wet to walk across and things got lost so easily, also my kids narrowly missed treading on a broken beer bottle. There was also lots of loose grass which got into the showers and toilets so these were not very clean most of the time and the showers were also blocked. So, great site but needs some attention. Would go again if they cut the grass and picked it up!

This was a lovely camp site but unfortunately there is not much for the children to do! But if you dont mide travelling around a bit the site is worth staying at very clean and quiet. The bar vas nice. the beach was a short walk down a steep hill but worth it. The views from the site a stunning.

95/96 about seven years since i have been there, but from what i can remember it was a small but well maintained site. small clubhouse, arcade, solarium. the best thing about this site is the fact that it is away from the tourist area, so the 10 min walk to the beach is well worth, as it is quiet but quite beautiful
