Fantastic stay over Christmas
The site is very quiet and beautiful with great views over the fields with loads of places to walk,
It’s great that you can choose where you would like to pitch and great that it’s not all uniform.
The owners are really relaxed and amazingly helpful
Will definitely stay again

Proper opportunity to relax and get away from it all at this beautiful, scenic campsite. Exceptionally quiet, just the gentle sound of wildlife to wake up to, with all the necessary facilities you need to support your stay.
Set within 6 acres of woodland, next to open fields with panoramic views and big skies, this site exudes tranquility. It's part of a working farm, but you wouldn't know it (the owner Odell has worked the farm and maintained the campsite for 5 generations).
The spacious, non-regimented pitches are set amongst well kept lawns and mature trees. Many pitches have their own seating areas with wooden tables and benches. EHU comes with each pitch and there are 5 freshwater standpipes located around the site.
There are wetrooms (£1 tokens obtained from Odell) and separate shower blocks/toilets. Also an indoor washing up facility and chemical waste point. The toilet blocks and area were generally clean, but do look a bit dated and could do with a spruce up. We also tripped the electric when boiling the kettle whilst the motorhome boiler was on, so need to be conscious of overloading it.
The site has its own dedicated footpaths one of which takes you directly to the local village of Lawshall, with The Swan pub and a village shop. It's dog friendly and there is a 1. 5 mile walk directly from the camping fields which is exclusive to guests.
Access to the site is via an unattractive, rundown barn and storage area which needs some serious TLC. But don't let that put you off. The site itself is lovely. We will be staying again.

Lovely, well kept site. Great to be able to select the pitch which suited us. Owner visible and available if needed, but not at all intrusive.
Excellent choice of facilities, four wetrooms and four bathrooms. Wet room showers last plenty long enough with one token. Hairdryer in ladies wetroom.
Good walks, signposted and well kept to nearest village. No shop nearby. But eggs and veg available at nearby farmhouse road stalls as you drive in villages.
Bury is an easy drive and several other places of interest to visit, the site is well placed.

Brighthouse Farm is a nice relaxed site with a friendly welcoming owner.
The facilities are dated but kept clean.
Large pitches with plenty of room to spread out

We had a fantastic stay at Bright House Farm: Odell was very welcoming and fun. The star gazing was awesome and we loved that there isn’t anything To
Do except play, bike, walk, sing around a campfire (in a pit). Also because the pitches were not split it could be very sociable as we were with friends.
We will definitely stay here and again and hopefully winter time too

Lush green site, beautiful country views, lots of space, loos and showers fine,
Walks around the farm and to pub straight from site, dog friendly, helpful owner.
Short walk to village but shop now closed. Convenient for Bury St Edmunds.

This site is in a great location, no road noise just bird song and a little farm noise in the distance.
Odell the owner is helpful, helps you choose your pitch and says park how you wish this is not a regimented site.
It has toilets, showers, electric hook ups, water and waste disposal so what more could one want from a gorgeous country site
So go visit you will not be disappointed.

A lovely, picturesque campsite. Edged by fields full of crops. Very peaceful.
Owners are very friendly and look after the site well.
Although the weather was a bit wet, the site drained well and the trees helped shield us from the worst.
Used the site, as nearby and wanted to give new tent and kit a test run. Both my young son and myself enjoyed our relaxing stay. We will return soon.

This site is an absolutely beautiful setting and is run by the very laid back, very friendly Odell, who was a pleasure to talk to.
It is clear that he takes pride in his site, the areas are well tended and the walks that have been cut around the land, and cutting through to get to the local pub and shop is a nice touch. The picnic tables in the camping zones is a great idea too.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would absolutely come again.
It was quiet and spacious for our 2 year old to run about in, and the site has toilet and shower facilities on hand (shower tokens are £1 each, it is worth getting several if like me you like a long shower!).
It is nice and rural, but easy enough to find with the sat nav (and we were even able to get takeaway delivered which is a bonus!).
It is about 15 minutes to Bury St. Edmunds by car and there are local taxi companies happy to do the trip (on average £15 each way).
All round excellent value for money, well deserving of a top score, thank you once more Odell 😊
