The site is immaculate and the wardens are lovely. We had to have a pitch at the perimeter with our back to the wall, fantastic views and really sunny. The only problem was the road noise it did get on my nerves and people walking down the road peering over the wall. I will not let this put me off and I will go back as it is so nice. Met a couple of lovely families and had a good time.

Just returned from a lovely weekend at this site. We found the wardens to be particularly helpful and pleasant as it was our first time on a Caravan Club site and they helped us with positioning the van and trying to get a tv signal. They also let us stay while 3pm on the Sunday which meant we could enjoy most of the day.
This site is lovely for a weekend stay. We spent Saturday at Hardcastle Crags and Sunday in Hebden Bridge and walking along the canal looking at the barges.
Only problem we found was the traffic is busy around this area especially on the Friday rush hour when we were trying to get to the site.
There are no toilet and showers at this site and my husband assures me that the water / waste areas were well kept and clean!
We had a non-awning hardstanding pitch which was positioned at the side of the stream which borders the site so was a lovely setting. Despite being full it was very quiet and peaceful and seemed to be mainly couples and only a few vans had kids in them. We had our 3 kids with us and they were happy playing with their toys on the limited grass area but to be honest as there is no play area or ball field it is in my opinion an unsuitable site to take kids to for any longer than a few days unless you had lots of days out planned as there is no where for them to play or explore on site.
There is a small sainsburys and a coop in the village as well as a filling station.
All in all we had a very relaxing and enjoyable stay at this site and would return.

A small, pleasant and welcoming site that sits in the bottom of a heavily-wooded valley, right by the side of a B-road which has signs declaring that it's the longest hill in England. That means that it is heavily shaded by the trees, and any heavy vehicles passing on the road can be noisy as they climb the hill.
On site there's no toilet block, and only one central toilet disposal/water/bins/recycling area, which is a little inconvenient for campers on the edges of the site. It can also get a little congested at 'rush hour' (dusk) as people prepare for the night ahead.
We arrived in torrential rain at 7.30pm and, because we'd called the site a couple of days before to say when we'd be there, the warden was waiting to welcome us, and had even reserved a pitch for our unit, which they said was longer than many (small pitches may be a problem for owners of larger vans and motorhomes, so call the site direct if in doubt). Despite heavy rain, the site drained freely and there was no danger of flooding.
The surrounding area (Hebden and Mytholmroyd) has taken a knock in the economic downturn, and many of the roadside pubs and some other businesses seem to have shut recently (is there anything more depressing than a boarded up pub?), although those pubs closest to the site are still up and running.
To the reviewer below: we left at 3pm, having got the OK from the wardens to stay beyond noon: no problem at all as the site was not full, and no extra charge . No shortchange! The moral is: talk to the wardens.

We visited with our 2 daughters and were a little nervous about how we'd cope without a toilet block - but the site was so pretty and the wardens so helpful, we hardly noticed! I think a dishwashing area would still be quite useful though. There's loads to do around here - we went into Hebden Bridge and visited the Bronte parsonage at Howarth and went for lovely walks at Hardcastle Crags. In fact we didn;t get round to half the things on our list so we'll have to go back. Can't wait.

Just home from a fine weekend here.
Some lovely canal side walks in the area,we were impressed with Hebden bridge.
The site itself was immaculate although some pitches up the top end of the site where we were are a touch small. One guy managed to reverse his car into someones a-frame while backing his van onto a pitch !
The pitches up the higher level are right next to the road and it can be noisy at times but not too intrusive.
We will certainly return and bring bikes next time.
No problem staying beyond noon as long as you ask early on the day you depart. 2pm was fine.

A lovely little site set in a picturesque part of the world. The site is well kept as you would expect a Caravan Club site. There is no toilet block at this site so you tend to get adults only. All the other facilities are what you usually get at a Club site. There is no playground or area for children to play.
It is a great base to explore that part of Yorkshire within easy reach of Haworth and the Bronte country, the Keighley and Worth Valley Railway and Hebden Bridge itself. Lots of good pubs in the area, as well as specialty shops and a few supermarkets.
But why, oh why do the Caravan Club insist that you leave by noon on the Sunday. It makes the weekend so short and effectively you cannot do anything on the Sunday except breakfast and pack up. I can understand it when the site is full the following day but I have been on the Caravan Club website and there are vacancies for tomorrow. As members we are getting shortchanged by the Club.

This is a site which we have intended visiting for some time and we weren't dissapointed, it is a lovely small, very quiet site in with mostly hard standings though there are some grass pitches.
It has the usual caravan club standards but without toilets and showers so you have to go fully prepared to use your own.
There is no play area for children and in my opinion the site is more suited to adults.
In reception they sell basic items but the village is within walking distance, where there is are a range of small shops and a cafe or two.
There are two pubs within walking distance from the site in opposite directions, one at Mytholmroyd and the other at cragg vale, both serve food and welcome dogs in the bar area.
Just down the road is an area to walk your dog or there are various walks from the site and from the village, some of the views are stunning.
Hebden bridge is an attractive small town, and further on is the beautiful Hardcastle graggs and Gibson mill. This is worth a visit it has various way marked walks from about one mile to five some by the river but there is a good path for wheel chairs and pushchairs to the mill. One tip, take your own food the cafe at the mill is very expensive.
All in all we loved this site and we would certainly return for another visit.
