The pitches are tight and once my awning was up, 24hrs later I was looking out at the arse end of another outfit not 2 foot from my awning.
The toilet block was small but we never had to queue for anything and it was lovely and warm in side, if just a bit smelly one morning out of the four we were there.
There is no warden to speak of and it's a complete free for all. Balls knocking on the van etc from the grass area next to nearly all the vans except 5 pitches.
My brother-in-law could not stay with us as Park Resorts said they accepted no tents, but before we left, two tents had appeared in the trees behind the touring pitches.
The gravel for the pitch next to the hardstanding is in fact slate chippings and even with 2 ground sheets down, the stone is still sharp and just should not be used.
It would have been better if they had left grass next to the hard standing, but I assume that due to the tightness of the site, the grass had become mud with arriving and departing vans and so the chippings were a last resort idea maybe.
The playground and the swimming pool was good for the kids but otherwise, the whole site had that tired feel about it.
The complex is a walk from the site and with an autistic lad of 9 and a 6 year, we could not let them have the run of the site like we can on other sites.
I stayed with the wife, kids aged 6 & 9 and a dog but beware the beach, although lovely, has restrictions on dogs at certain times of the year.

£9.50 holidays!
-Two 14-15 year olds.
-One 50 year old.
On arrival, the satnav directed us down a very, well lets say unexpected lane! Haha, wasn't expecting such a perfect site to be on the end of it though! I've never used a Sun Holiday before, and was expecting the worst to be fair. I was put into my place after doubting it though!
The sites facilities fitting the needs, my mum said 'the entertainment wasn't too tacky & over the top, and I like that'. As a fourteen year old, I was satisfied with the site. We met a group of 17-20 year old boys, that had had a few problems with the staff during the holiday, I'm sure its just a boy thing though.
The caravan was top notch, no complaints. As we lost the 'comments' sheet during our stay, we could not give any feedback. We had everything we needed in the van & everything was in working order. Perfect view from the top of the site also!
The facilities were perfect, great park for children, toilet block & laundrette, weren't necessary for us to use. But I did see the toilet block, and although the lock doesn't work on one of the toilet doors, they were clean.
Me and my friend walked into the village on one of the nights, to our surprise, it is just the same as our village! Quiet. The beach was amazing though!
On top of everything, I really enjoyed our stay, and as my mum refuses to go back to caravan sites we've already been to, and as they don't accept tents, I will not be returning in the near future! Although, when I get older, I've made a note of most sites I want to return to!

The pitches are quite small and there are only thirteen. The toilets were old but were cleaned regularly. The facilities are good for children with a good adventure park and a pool. The bar was reasonable and the food reasonable. The local town Borth is a disappointing but the site is well located for exploring the area. Overall a very pleasant stay and very good value at £100 for the week.

Stayed at the end of June start of July. Borth is a lovely quiet village on the coast which has some amenities, couple of shops 3 pubs and a two chip shop but be careful which one you use!. The beach is pebbly but nice and not to busy for better beaches drive 2 miles up the road to Ynslas the sand dunes are great!
We stayed in a hired static right at the top of the site which is set on a steap hill and WHAT a view excellent of the borth and surrounding area.
We had a platinum graded caravan, 5 year old van not long moved on to the site and you could tell! The grounds in the camp area very well looked after but around are van was a forest of huge weeds. The van exterior was dirty as was the decking area inside was nice a but nothing of a wow factor like they say in their ads. The van was private owned but let out through 'park resorts' The toilet was small and cramped but rest of van was not bad.
We complained to the staff about the problems we found, they where friendly but did not seem to really care, the weeds where strimmed down but the mess was not removed they gave us some free entertainment passes to try and buy us off.
Site facilities where not bad pool, with a non working big slide, club house which was a little over priced and site shop which was not badly priced. The entertainment was a bit like a 2nd rate butlins . Small children are well looked after with kids club etc but older children 15 plus aren't.
The site seems to push buying statics a lot, but again this is the same in most park resort sites.
In a nut shell great location average site

Parc Brynowen is set near Borth town which is small but very scenic. Travelling to site from south Wales is quiet tricky, avoid any B roads as they are very hilly. The site as plenty of the things to do eg swimming, arcades, club house etc. Toilet block clean and tidy. Electric hook up is 10amp only which you cannot use kettles or microwave. Aberystwyth town is only 8 miles away and well worth a trip. Weather was perfect which made it a great weekend

Upon arrival first impressions were mixed. The static caravan we were allocated had a split bin bag outside with all the contents scattered around. Once informed the staff were quick to send someone to clear it all up though.
Facilities were good but we didn't use any of the main attractions like the pool. Kids enjoyed the play area most.
The local pebble/slate beach was great and was empty most of the time.
There are plenty of attractions around if you didn't mind a drive which we did everyday of our stay.

Whatever the failings of this camp they are, in my opinion, more than made up for by the location. Just a five minute walk from local village of Borth which supplies all the essentials that you will need. Also five minute walk from good, if pebbly beach. Camp itself looked very limited for tourers and does not accept tents. Stayed in static so cannot comment on tourer's facilities. Statistics badly laid out in lines with parking being a real problem. Shop pretty well stocked and not overly expensive. Didn't use entertainment facilities but kids did and enjoyed them. All in all we had a really good time but this was largely due to area not camp. Probably would not use again due to now preferring to camp.

Good camp if you want to be very relaxed as, in all fairness, no-one bothers you whatever you do. The Staff couldn't have been more friendly - great. Only a few touring pitches. Staff told us that the aim of the site is to go over to statics only. How true this is we don't know - but it would appear that way as the only shower is old and tatty, likewise the toilets. No disabled facilities. The areas around the outside of all the buildings are dirty and need a good clean. There were piles of dirty muddy dried up cardboard over several of the pitches and they were left there for the whole of the six days we stayed. There were dirty old discarded pieces of underwear next to our pitch - never picked up. Dogs were tied up to the caravans and they were quite noisy. Kids ran in between your pitch and were able to run wild. Pitches are small. The many bins are overflowing and smelling. We paid with honesty for the number of children and two cars that we took - only to be told by other regular campers that no-one checks you and you only need to pay for the very basics. The clubhouse is wonderful for kids - seriously good. The Arcade is very expensive. It draws the kids like magnets. I would NOT go there again. I have stayed at a different Park Resort (Nodes Point) and that was fabulous. Brynowen is scruffy and in need of a serious overhaul.

Had a week here in June, all touring sites are hardstanding but limited in number, only fourteen. Separate toilets and showers for tourers but you must obtain a key from reception and leave a £5 deposit, we were'nt told of this when we booked in and luckily someone was kind enough to let us use their key until we got our own. The location is good for touring around but Borth itself is a bit drab.

We paid £5.00 per night, Pitch was fine, toilets weren't all that good. one shower. locks broken. Laundry room was quick and easy, kids loved the pool. handy little shop. tourers were at bottom of park so we felt bit isolated. clean and tidy park. Although it was nice I wont be returning.
