We've just returned from a visit to this site and it was fantastic.
Booking was easy and I managed to book our pitch the day before our arrival. It was very easy to find using the directions on their website and as promised, there was a note to tell us which pitch we were on.
Within 15 minutes of arriving at the pitch the owner came to welcome us and gave us some useful local information.
The whole site is very well kept and spotlessly clean throughout. The owner never seems to stop and you can tell! The bins were regularly emptied and recycling facilities were available.
The toilets and showers were always clean and well stocked. There is a washer and dryer available at extra cost and even a little library.
The location is amazing and the views are fantastic, especially at sunset. We walked up to the lighthouse which is well worth a visit.
There is a smokery nearby called Derimon smokery, which is well worth a visit if only for the smoked cheese.
We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend and will definitely be visiting this campsite again.

We have just returned from our first camping trip and we are so glad we chose this site. What a little gem. It is a small, family friendly, quiet site.
We had a night and day of rain and the field never became muddy.Only a short while after the rain had stopped, the children were able to resume ball games in the middle of the tent field. The tents are pitched around the outside with lots of space for the children to play in the centre.
The facilities are basic but clean. Showers are unisex and 20p for about 6 mins, which is plenty of time.
Plenty of hot water for washing up etc.
Washing machine, drier (extra charge) and ironing board available.
The only small negative is the toilet/wash block being among the static caravans and although not a huge walk from the tent field, the walk to it is not lit up enough at night. It is only a very small negative.
Overall the site is very good. We will certainly return and highly recommend it.

After looking at various sites around the island(very mixed standards & prices)spent 2 nights at Point Lynas(was on our shortlist). It did not disappoint, nice small touring section, with views out to sea. We sorted out a flat pitch for motorhome with the owner, who, though not on site(we arrived late in evening) had left available pitch info on reception door & a phone number.
The Site was very quite & very tidy. Showers & toilets very clean, showers which took 20p lasted a good 6 mins, also not push buttons. Good useful local info sheet provided by owner.
At £22 a night, which seemed the going rate on the island, even for September, this was much better than most. Clean, tidy, quite, very helpful owners, good views. Also 5 mins walk to coastal path. It is 2 miles into Amlwch or 2 mins at end of road to Porth Eilian Bay. This site ticked all our boxes, we will be back next year.

A lovely site for a family holiday. The facilities are kept tidy and clean. The showers spacious enough for us to wash all four kids in! Across the site are things to keep the kids entertained, a sandpit, football net and climbing bars.
The beach is a gentle stroll down the hill and is safe for swimming, although you do have to watch out for the boats.A mobile shop visits the site daily but the town of Amwlch is only a short drive away with larger supermarkets.
The lending library was a great hit with the family on the rainy afternoon. There are many things to do around the island and the site is nicely located for these.
Parys Mountain is an interesting walk. The RNLI station at Moelfre was great the staff amazing at answering lots of questions and letting the kids look round. Well worth repeat visits, many thanks for a great holiday.

I visited this site with my 2 children and my sister and her 4 children. It is clean, tidy, quiet and the washing/shower facilities are very good. 20p for hot showers, washing machine & drier and library of books to borrow.
The owners are the most helpful I have ever come across on a site. I arrived with not enough length of cable to reach the hook up, but was able to borrow some straight away. My sister arrived with a flat tyre, a full car and 4 very travel weary children. The guys changed the wheel for us, then took it to the local garage and had the tyre replaced for us - amazing!

I went to this campsite with 5 adults and 3 children and we had an amazing time. The toilets and showers where very clean and had a 20p meter.
The campsite was very quiet and over the weekend, the campsite only had about 5 tents on site.
The kids had good fun playing on the grass playing football (with the goal post with net) and there was some bars which they enjoyed climbing on, there was a quite a big slice of land to play in.
Going on to the night there where no problems. No noise or anything and the sunset was a gorgeous site to see.
From the campsite there's a 5 minute walk away to a more of a rocky beach and from there there is a 20 minute walk to point lynas lighthouse. There are also other walks that go round the area past the wild life.
Over all we enjoyed our stay and I would recommend this site to anyone!

Just got back and cannot recommend this site enough. Plenty of room between tents, recycling facilities are very good. There are great coastal walks, and a fantastic sunset just a short walk to the nearby lighthouse. Chris(owner)is so helpful. Toilets more than acceptable. Would not recommend the chippy in Amlwch Port(greasy chips, uncooked batter and so many bones. Would not hesitate to recommend the campsite. P.S. I put n/a for kids as I don't know as I don't have one.

Spent a weekend at Point Lynas in a tent - it's a really lovely site in a good location, spotlessly clean, very quiet, and with good facilities.
The site is located just a few hundred yards from the north coast of Anglesey (sea views from most of the site) and is mainly a big static caravan park but don't let this put you off! They also have one small field for touring vans (maybe 5-6 vans) and one larger field for touring tents. The tent field is big with a large play area in the middle and sheltered on two sides by hedges with tents pitched around these two sides to keep sheltered from the Anglesey winds. Despite the size they only allow about 10 tents in the field so there is always plenty of space and it doesn't feel cramped. A lot of the pitches have EHU if you want it.
The facilities consist of 1 block which is a short walk through another field (on a path). The block has a ladies and gents toilets and a unisex shower room which also has a washer, dryer, fridge freezer and washing up sinks. There is also a chemical toilet disposal thingy. The facilities are all kept spotlessly clean (cleaned at least twice per day) and despite being small they are only shared by a small number of campers so there are no queues. 20p for 6 minutes of hot shower, the washer and dryer cost £2.50 if I remember correctly and there is as much free hot water as you want for washing dishes. They even provide cloths and plastic tubs for washing up in the sinks!
The site was remarkably quiet considering the number of statics there and it was very peaceful. There is no club house or any of that nonsense! You can do lovely and quite gentle walks along the coastal path and it is only a short walk to a lovely cove which seems to be a local spot for canoeing.
Only downside is there is no shop or pub or anything else within easy walking distance so in the evening there is nothing to do but sit in your tent or drive somewhere. It is a 10 minute drive to the local Somerfield supermarket - ask for directions because it is impossible to find otherwise! Owners very nice and friendly and seem to keep the place in tip-top condition.
Cost us £15 for each night for two of us in a largeish tent. Smaller tents are about £10 per night. One nice thing is that it doesn't appear to get booked up too quickly so phone a few days before and hopefully they'll have a spare pitch.
Great base to explore Anglesey and north wales in general. Beaumaris well worth a visit on a nice day!

We have just returned home having spent a wonderful week at Point Lynas. The site was wonderfully kept and the owners were very pleasant and friendly working around the clock to keep the site clean and welcoming. Toilet block facilities excellent. We look forward to booking next year.

We are a family of 4 who camped here during a glorious sunny week. We really liked this site because the camping field had lots of running around space in the centre for the children. We were there the week after most people's half terms so there were only around 6 tents in the field. This is mostly a static/touring caravan site but everyone who was around was very friendly. The toilet, shower and washing up facilities were faultless, they even supplied washing up cloths and bowls! Excellent. The owners were very knowledgeable of the local area, and directed us to a particular beach which would be sheltered from the wind one windy day! We visited Plas Newydd, Penrhyn Castle, Cemaes Bay and Bangor. Must admit we weren't impressed with Bangor but everything else about the area was great. We will revisit this site at some point as it is in a lovely quiet corner with great facilities.
