This was our first time camping as a family (of 6) and were a bit anxious about the whole affair. We arrived early afternoon and were personally shown to our pitch and told where everything was and offered help by other campers immediately. It was so friendly, and the children had bags of fun on the nature trail and loved feeding the animals (20p a bag, great value). The shop sells the freshest eggs I've ever tasted and the owners pub serves great food and even better beer! The washing up facilites are great and the showers are really clean with plenty of free hot water. The pitches are huge (we had a tent, gazebo, hammock and 2 cars on ours). All in all a thoroughly relaxing holiday and we have already booked to go back this year, bringing 3 other families with us (booked into the chalets as camping does not appeal - funny people!)

would agree with previous reviewers.Very peacefull pleasant little bar.Good play area in centre of main camp field loads of room for kids to play & you can keep an eye on them.
also near coast in uncrowded countryside.

A very peaceful site with large pitches, pitches are only around the edge of the field(unlike some very overcrowded sites)gives a relaxed and spacious feel to the site.We were in the overflow field which had beautiful views over the surrounding countryside.Lots of farm animals for the kids which they can feed and stroke when they like. Would definatley go back to the site,the only problem is it is miles from any shops, need to be organised with your food shopping, the on site shop is more of a cupboard really, so don't rely on buying much there.

Summer 2001
Lovely site in North Cornwall with a
very pleasant bar. Has farm animals,fishing, horse rides, and childrens play area.
Touring field is not level so bring your
levellers !. Very relaxing and secluded
from any road noise. Would visit again.
