Site is on main road between Harrogate and Knaresborough. Facilities here a rather dated. Site is on a slope so no level pitches. No specific play area for children. Ok for an emergency stop over but that's about it.

Good friendly reception, informative summary of the services and places to visit locally. Some late night noise from the main road adjacent to the site perimeter wall. Large static community.
Convenient site for exploring N.Yorks area. Bus stop within 30 metres of site entrance and buses accept OAP concession bus passes throughout the area so possible to travel to Ripon, Leeds, Knaresborough etc. After 0900 hours. Tesco express within 150 metres of site. All hardstandings have electric services. Sanitary block is tired and in need of some attention but operational, clean and tidy. Not a major problem for MHs as we are fully self sufficient so regard it similar to an Aire / Stellplatz.
Costs for night at £15 is pricey for that provided but we will return when we again visit Harrogate for various exhibitions at the Conference Centre. We stayed for 3 nights and enjoyed the experience.

This site was quite nice for the residents who live there but the hard standings for tourers was very old and delapidated. The toilet block was old and dirty. Floor had been mopped but not swept and toilet cisterns and handles and seats unclean. The hard standings are super pitches but could not use the water pipe as the water that came from them made us ill. It was quite expensive four nights costing £70.00. It is a shame because the site is ideally located and is very handy for Harrogate and Knaresborough being on the bus route and there are numerous shops within a short walking distance.

Hmm, stayed here with friends in tents in August 2005. Strange place to stay. Site is primarily a static caravan site, with most owners appearing to live there all year round. Tents are situated in small grassed area surrounded by statics, with little privacy & overlooked. Facilitities are old and basic, prices extortionate and owners grumpy! Site is surrounded by houses.

2003 My partner and I have stayed at Shaws Trailer Park several times throughout 2003. It is a quiet, pleasant site and has a regular bus service to take you to Knaresbro' or Harrogate. Easy walking distance of railway at Starbeck for Leeds and York. Good local amenities. Excellent for music lovers. Try the Blues Bar in Harrogate or one of the many pubs around with good music.
