Just got back from a snowy Easter at The Oaks! We echo the sentiments in the other posts - a beautiful well maintained site, very quiet, very clean.
If we had to pick up on a negative it would be the tiny showers. Although clean with hot water the shower trays are not much bigger than an on board shower and the area for drying is about the same again - such a hassle and very unnecessary as the block itself is quite big. You have to be a contortionist to get dried and dressed, anybody disabled can forget it. Also the showers are closed between 11.00am and 1pm for cleaning every day which I found a pain as I like to lay in on my hols and not jump up when I find its 10.30am and rush over to the shower block.
That said we enjoyed our stay. We went to Lavenham which was worth the trip and in the evenings ate at the Maybush Inn and The Fox, both of which are recommended. There is a courtesy bus that leaves the site at 7pm and collects at 10pm from the Fox, charge is £2.50 per person.
The people in charge are helpful and friendly, you can order a newspaper for collection and they charge 5p on top which goes to charity.
You have to leave a £5 deposit for the gate swipe card and also have to vacate your pitch by 11.00am which I feel is quite early. This site do not recycle which is a shame.
We would use this site again as there is a lot of effort being put in to make our stays pleasant.

We returned to this site in September after a short stay at the end of April.
We prefer quiet, adults only sites and while nothing is perfect, this site is well on it's way.
Although we didn't use them, there is a selection of local pubs / restaurants which have had good reports from other visitors. The nearby lanes are quiet enough for a little gentle cycling and the busy Ipswich to Felixtowe road is far enough away to be inaudible but near enough to give fairly easy access. A couple of small niggles are that the turning off this main road could be provided with a sign and that the entrance to the site is so discreet that it can be easily missed.
Felixtowe is well worth a visit - not the port at the southern end but the unspoiled quiet holiday town. There are splendid walks along the sea front, past the golf course and the Martello Towers and plenty of parking with sea views. We also visited Ipswich, the Saxon village near Bury St Edmunds and the quaint village of Orford.
Constable country is just down the road.
The site had decent sized level grassed pitches with hookups, a swipe card entrance gate and an automatic exit gate. The site is new as obviously are the toilets, but they are of a high quality and well maintained. Perhaps the water taps around the site could be altered so that my hose pipe adaptors fit them, also the plinth makes filling the water container difficult.
There is a pleasant summerhouse / information centre / meeting point in the centre of the site which is a nice touch.
Overall, this is a well planned and well run site which is worth a visit.

This was a last minute booking but we were very happy with the arrangements. The facilities were excellent. The toilet block was conveniently close and very clean.
The washing up area was behind the Toilet block with hot(very!) water and even bowls sponge and washing up liquid provided. It also proved to be a very good place to exchange views with other campers.
Security was excellent with the entry gate opened by swipe card (£5 deposit).
The site was mainly caravans but there were a few tents spread among the 'vans.
The summerhouse and patio were a great source of local information.
We would have stayed longer (5 nights) but had to get back to our cat!

Just spent a lovely relaxing weekend at this park and it's one of the best parks I have come across to date. Toilet & shower block spotless and even vases of flowers and that's in the gents. Site ground was level and well maintained other than the odd mole hole which appeared overnight. Nice little touches like a patio area, mini library and a pub drop off and pickup service. If you are looking for a bit of action then steer clear of this site as all we encountered was peace and tranquillity. I would definitely stay here again and thoroughly recommended site.

What can we say, this site is simply one of the best we have ever stayed on. It is really well laid out, the toilet and shower block were clean at all times and the staff are very friendly. Being adult only it is very quiet and peaceful, an ideal weekend get away We have already booked our next weekend and hopefully if the weather holds out will be back in September also

Had a week at the site, what a lovely site, the staff were very good. The toilet block was very good, the only thing we found was the showers were a little bit small, especialy if you are a little bit on the large side. And the only thing we found, if you are there for a week or more, it could do with washing machine facilities. Would go back again, the pubs are very good, the Fox Inn, Maybush and the Shanon I can recommend.

This was our second visit to this lovely site, and again everything was very clean, tidy and peaceful. Shame about the weather but the pitches stayed fairly dry. The minibus service to the two nearest pubs is an excellent idea and much appreciated, and we ate in the Shannon - which has been seriously refurbished since our last visit, with excellent food and lots of real ales - and the Fox, which was as good as before. Suggest you book to eat (Oaks Park has the details). Our friends stayed two nights in tents and Lee and his team were very helpful again. It sounds like a threat, but we'll be back.

Just home from a VERY wet visit to this site. 24 hours of non stop rain. Even thought we didn't get to see much of the surrounding countryside we found the site very well laid out and the shower / toilet blocks were of a very high standard. The pitch we had was large enough to take our tent (Oasis 700) park the car next to it. We also use an outhouse tent for cooking and this all fitted with room to spare. I think there are a few smaller pitches here as well We will definitely be coming back here in the no too distant future

Just back from the easter weekend to The Oaks. Very level pitches, ehu if needed. Clean toilet/shower block.(closed 11am-1pm for cleaning) Patio area with summerhouse, which also has lots of info about places to see. Appears to be mainly caravans, with only a few tents. Quiet place to visit. Nice staff on hand if you need help. £5 returnable deposit for gate card. Great site and handy for the A12/A14 to visit suffolk.

Well, we have just finished our 2nd season at The Oaks, (although they open until the end of Oct, I have a busy work schedule), and as usual we have had a wonderful time. The site is clean, friendly and most of all quiet! We love the peace that we get here, and the welcome we receive every time we return. The shower block is very clean, spotless and warm! Being able to take our dogs with us on the wonderful walks and places in and around the immediate area is fantastic. The local hostelries are well stocked with wonderful ales and great food. A quick thank you to Lee and his staff for taking care of us yet again, and we are already looking forward to 2007.
