This was our first time camping for over 20 years. The campsite was wonderful. Loo's and showers were spotless. The peace was wonderful, even the noisy baby owl at 5.30am! The washing up area was also very clean and contained a fridge/freezer for anyone to use, free of charge. There is meeting area in the middle of the site which had a mini library. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I would definitely come to this site again.

This is one we booked at last minute. The Managers could not be more than helpful. The site is very new and all the facilities are up to date. Shower block/toilets are excellent. We were in the pitch next to them. They are very strict on their adults only policy - be warned! If you take a dog, as we did, there is a good walking lane alongside but remember to clean up! Lots of good pubs in reasonable distance and they have a courtesy bus to take you there and return for a small fee (first we have come across). Mostly caravans (some seasonal) and trailer tents but spaces for tents. All users were very friendly and we would highly recommend without reservation.

Fabulous site, well situated and exceptionally well kept. Quiet, peaceful but not regimented. Some lovely extra touches including a fridge and freezer for free use (very useful when camping). Marvellous hot, free, power showers in a spotlessly clean shower block. We loved it here and will definitely be back. Second the recommendation for the Fox at Newbourne for food - but do book.

We've just spent a great weekend here. The site is very tidy & well managed, & the facilities are tops, real glass shower doors too! You can hire bikes & order papers from reception, & get the on site minibus to the local pubs!, but the best thing about the Oaks for us is the peace & tranquility, just the odd birdsong for company. We'll definitely return here.

A model of what a campsite should be - for adults only who want the quiet life. Only 3 years old; designed with great attention to detail, including plants and landscaping;bike hire; generous pitches;very well organised but without the slightly "military" and standard format of the Caravan Club sites; above all: very well maintained and VERY clean and they take tents! Very pleasant family with personal service who deserve to succeed - for once we are competing with the best of the French sites. I wish every campsite had to meet similar standards.

Brilliant site . Peaceful, very well- kept level pitches (could be slightly larger) with spotless, heated loos. Friendly, helpful staff - especially helpful as we limped in with a busted radiator in 90 degs. Lots of local info, including pub menus, etc. And, joy of joys, a minibus service to take you to the local pubs. Try the Fox for food, but book. We will be back soon.

Had a brilliant week recently. Fab peaceful site with flat, fairly large pitches. Friendly, helpful staff, loan of games and BBQs, bike hire, loads of local info including pub menus and phone numbers. Spotless heated loos/showers. Two fantastic ideas: minibus service to the local pubs (try the Fox for food but book) and flat rate charges i.e. £14 per caravan inc hook up regardless of season or arrival date (you don't have to count how many awnings, cars or dogs you have or find out what your granny's birthday is). £12 per tent as above. Will be back soon.

Just had a great weekend at this site and will be thoroughly recommending it to others. Spotlessly clean and very friendly. It can be a little windy as the countryside is flat in the immediate surroundings and the traffic from the roads can be heard early in the morning but soon abates as the work traffic dies down. Great little touches which add to the stay. Courtesy bus (nominal fee) is laid on should you wish to visit one of 2 local pubs for a meal and drink and not wish to drive. A central patio area with tables etc. for social gathering and several daily newspapers available should you wish to read one. (It was nice to see them being returned for the next reader....) Not the largest of pitches but adequate for most. Reasonably priced and within ideal distance from many attractions to visit. Well worth a short stay or longer...

May 2005 My Husband and I are in our early 30's and had smashing weekend at The Oaks Caravan Park. The hospitality and the laid back atmosphere were spot on, it was excellent. It is perhaps the nicest camp site we have stayed on, we will definitely go back and so will my parents, we will also be recommending the site to our friends. The pitches are spot on as they are well managed and spacious, the toilet and shower blocks spotless, cycle hire very good, good value tariff, over all facilities including barbecues hire for free brilliant and the views beautiful. I really cannot fault this site at all.
We went to one of the local pubs called The Shannon Inn in Bucklesham on Saturday night, which was very nice with good food and really friendly staff and locals, we really felt like we fitted in and were made to feel very welcome.
Monday lunch time we took a trip to The Maybush, which is 10 minutes by car, the food was excellent with gorgeous views.
Can't wait to come back again with our VW
There is also a minibus facility organised by the site to escort you to and from a couple of locals pubs in the area for a very small charge.
A truly five star site.
