As soon as you arrive you welcomed by the lovely Barry and Pauline, nothing is ever too much trouble (they found out where a local motor spares shop was so we could get a new battery for our car alarm that decided it didn't want to switch off).
The site is homely and extremely clean with hot water and washing up facilities.
Our children loved it, made lots of new friends and our dog had lots of fun in the river with the kiddies. Its very family orientated.

We first found this site in 2009 and brought our van for the summer. Owners were both so helpful and welcoming. We've stayed on the site ever since and keep our van there throughout the year. The site has everything you could wish for, a little playground for the children, laundry, showerblock {refurbished for 2011} and washing up facilities. Everyone is so friendly.

We had a great time at Riverside, our young children and dog loved the site and the river, they made lots of friends. We spotted lots of birds, rabbits and of course sheep. The people there as well as the owners were really friendly and it was quiet in the evenings.
The facilities were basic but good, lots of hot water. We enjoyed the covered bbq area.

When we arrived at this site Barry and Pauline made us feel welcome straight away and they make this site what it is. The site was level well serviced with large tiolet and shower blocks ( which are kept exceptionally clean!)The site and people are great and everybody helps out, a great family feel to the place. The river is great for fishing or just playing in, and the site provides covered areas for barbeques and washing up. A large kiddies play area see many families playing rounders or cricket on the sunnier days and not a telly in site! The village is a quiet walk away with village shop which supplies most of what you will need and the local pub does great food. This site excels on friendliness, Barry and Pauline keep up the good work, as we have now made this our second home.

Last year we came for one night and we are still there. Pauline and Barry are great people always ready to lend a hand when the need arises, nothing is too much trouble.
The site boasts a lovely river which all campers use, some for fishing, some for canoeing and some just for messing about on the river. There's a great play area for the kids, plus a covered area for barbies and parties. The toilets and showers are spotless and Pauline is always checking them to make sure the standards of excellence are kept up. Barry keeps the grounds beautifully and the wild life and numerous kinds of birds are awesome. Maybe some of the vans are older but surely its the people that make a difference to whether your holiday is great or just ok. Keep going you two you do make a difference.

If you want 5* luxury book into a hotel. If you want 5* friendliness you wont find a better site, toilets, showers, washing facilities basic but kept very clean. The owners Barry & Pauline ( and Dylan the Dog ) made us welcome from the moment we arrived we have been to a lot of child friendly campsites, but this has to have the nicest and most friendly yet. Not only do the owners do their utmost, but also the seasonal residents are very nice and again make adults, children and pets feel very welcome. This place is a little gem stone I can almost guarantee you'll want to go back we certainly do ps. Don't forget your wetsuits if your kids like water

Work in progress I think. Lots of 'static' tourers take up the good spots beside the river. Toilets are basic but clean and kept clean. Dishwashing area is open to the elements. Pub is just across the river but you have to walk right round to the village, a bridge would be great. Pitches are pretty level but site does look a bit untidy with some old vans. Good area in centre for cooking etc if weather is bad but only a gazebo type thing so no walls. Owners are friendly enough. Reasonably priced £13 off season with EHU

Our party of Frontera 4X4 owners stayed here for one night, I can't really add much to the above review apart from my total agreement, Toilets, site and amenities all 100% spot on. The ground was a little muddy in the central area of the site but after the rain we have had this year was not surprising. However, there are plenty of dry areas to choose from should you arrive in the middle of our monsoon season.
Pauline and Barry went out of their way to make our small group welcome, providing us with knowledge of the local area and when they were unable to provide some information we needed, helped by introducing us to someone who knew the answer.
The weather that evening was quite wet, but, being able to cook our meal under the Big Gazebo then have a fire (with wood bought from the village shop) to chat and tell a few tales around whilst sinking a few beers was a godsend, if only all other sites could provide a facility such as this.
Oh yeah there is also a Microwave available for you to use!
This may have been my first time at this friendly site, but it won't be the last as I'm hoping to go back there next year for a longer stay and chill!

What a great site. From the minute you arrive you will be greeted with a great welcome from Pauline and Barry. They seem to have gotten everything right about running a campsite, there is a great undercover area at the top of the camp field with fire pits and barbecues for anyone to use, a great play area form the kids if they arent in the river, the toilets and showers are fine too, with lovely hot water. The village which has a little shop that sells just about everything and a lovely pub which does excellent food is only a 5 minute walk from the site. The views from the site are also lovely. Barry and Pauline dont like you to be cramped so the pitch sizes are huge. Keep up the excellent work Barry and Pauline and thanks for a great holiday.
