Lovely site, friendly staff, good clean facilities, very good sized pretty woodland pitches, good but basic shop, clean pleasant pool area, well equipped children's play areas and heaps of natural wooded 'dens'. But! sadly, an industrial estate has sprung up around the site. There's a constant background traffic noise from the very nearby city ring road, and frequently around 2am, we were woken by mad racing motorbikes. It's also on the flight path of the nearby airport, which was only annoying when the daily 6am flight took off over us!. The walk into Quimper is partly along the river but it also takes you under the ring road, so it's not a quiet country stroll. The central city itself was pretty. This is a super campsite with lovely woodland walks and chateau gardens, it's just a shame about the road noise.

We have just returned from a week at L'orangerie De Lanniron. It is a delightful site, with the majority of pitches being very spacious and nicely laid out. However, we were in the "L" section and we were completely waterlogged for most of the holiday. I appreciate the weather is beyond their control, but having to purchase wellington boots was not on my holiday list! Pool - The pool complex which was being advertised on their website was not finished so there was just small unheated pool. This was adequate because the weather was not great and we are a family with young children, but I would imagine if you were a family with teenagers, this pool would not be sufficient to keep them amused - although thats only my opinion. Facities - There was only one toilet block open when we arrived and we were a very very very long walk from it. Whilst they were pleasant enough - I am used to rather cleaner toilets with more showers in french campsites. They would close the whole block down at any given time (usually 10.30 am) making us ladies use the mens - which I wasn't too happy about. Once my friend went down and they had closed both down! There were also 2 lovely wooden play areas and a good little shop. All the staff were very friendly too. Bar - very nice and in a great position for the kids to play whilst having a drink. Nice touch was that they provided board games and books. Location - perfect - nice walk into quimper is possible and lots of great beaches are all around. This is a perfect little site for families. My kids absolutely loved the freedom of dashing around on their bikes, which they wouldn't of necessarily had in a larger busier site. I would recommend it for families with children under 12 - and I would ask to be near the toilet block!

August 2004 This was our first time in France, and despite very wet weather for the whole 2 weeks we did enjoy our holiday. This site has very large pitches and all are private with lots of trees. Even though the town of Quimper is only ten minutes by car and only half an hour walking from the rear of the site, you felt as if you were in the middle of the country. The site was kept very clean with clean toilets and showers. Kids play areas were great my 7 year old went into the kids club each day and thoroughly enjopyed himself. Pool was kept clean and camping is well away from the bar and restaurant so no disturbances there. Would recommend this site highly. There is plenty to do in the area if the weather is bad and please, please visit Pointe de la Torche beach it really is breathtaking. The restaurant on site is excellent and well worth a visit.

August 2003 We stayed at L'Orangerie for 10 days in August and have nothing but praise for the campsite.
The staff were friendly and helpful, and our poor french wasn't a problem.
The pitches are large and pleasant, with plenty of screening for privacy, so it never felt like a large site.
There was plenty for the kids to do ( Swimming, golf, tennis and play areas etc.).
Good quality restaurant, as well as a bar and take-away service.
Clean and well-kept, and a lovely area to explore.

July 2003 The first impressions count as they say, well we got a very friendly greeting when we arrived, nothing was too much for the assistants always smiling, (even when i used to go in to cash my travelers cheques and empty their till). The site is very well maintain and showers and toilets cleaned 3 or 4 times a day.
All the usual stuff on site to do if you don,t want to go out.the pitch are very big and spacious,Their is a shop on site but if you want more the local Hypermarket is a 2 min drive,in the area there are plenty of things to do..Oceanopolis at Brest,Quimper its self is quite charming,The Grottos at Morgat, the list is endless, but a boat trip to the Iles De Glenin from Benodet is a must on a hot sunny day,or a walk around Haulguet and its huge boulders. We have used a lot of sites in the UK and some in France but this site takes some beating.
