This is a really pleasant campsite. Fairly quiet even on the Bank Holiday weekend. The toilets were immaculate. I don't think I have ever stayed at a site where the toilets smelt so fresh, were really clean and even had soft toilet paper 99% of the time!
The views were lovely and I would definitely stay there again.
The only downside was the nearest bar was 0.8 miles away and when you factor the extra bit from the tent to the top of the hill to the main road, was further than we had thought. Having said that, the village is lovely with a good shop and great pub further up the road that did a lovely Sunday dinner!
The field for camping was good and had a reasonable section for ball games. There was a children's play area in the village.

Just got back from the rainy Bank Holiday weekend and even the rain couldn't dampen our spirits during our stay at this lovely site. A river runs alongside the campsite and there are various lovely walks along it. Not good for fishing really as very small trout and shallow fast flowing river but very picturesque. The toilets and showers are immaculate and each caravan had its own bin out the front which was a good innovation. Would warn parents that on top of the £14 site fee we had to pay £2.50 for each child (ours are 2 & 5 and we don't usually have to pay for them) plus £2.50 a night for your awning making the total a little steap for the facilities provided. Next to the touring field is a lovely camping field with amazing views. One thing to note is that being in a valley you lose the sun early afternoon so can't sit out in the sun in the evening as the site is in shadow. All things considered a lovely little site in a stunning part of the country. We will be returning and would especially recommend a trip to the nearby waterfall of Pistyll Rhaeadr which is a heavenly spot.

Spent 3 lovely nights at this park. The views were amazing and the owners and fellow campers were very helpful, providing leaflets to let us know what was available locally. The new toilet block was fantastic, so clean it was a pleasure to use. A great deal of money has been spent on updating the toilet/shower facilities, they were an absolute delight to use, although during busy times you might experience a wait for the shower, with there being only one per Ladies and Gents. I would definitely recommend this site and would visit again soon. Lots to do nearby, but wonderfully relaxing also. Being very new to camping I was impressed with how helpful everyone was. The owners daughter was extremely helpful, as were other people who used the site regularly. We were given leaflets about the area and we had a fantastic time. Excellent value for money. Would definitely return to this site in the future.

July 2004 We stayed here for 3 nights whilst visiting relatives in the area. Whilst I agree with all the comments already made I do think that the shower / loo block was adequate ... just!! It was clean and sweet smelling and for a small site met the needs. We were on the tent field with no hook up and paid £10 per night.
Beautiful area and so peaceful I could have stayed longer.

August 2004 Oh dear! There are the location ingredients that are so right to be let down by, for the pricing, totally inadequate toilet / wash / shower / wash-up facilities. The £14 per night provided a really great location (quiet, maintained grounds by river, level pitches), but the facilities were comparitively akin to "Carry On Camping". A small portacabin unit provided one cramped shower cubicle per gents & ladies, two loos each and a small wash basin. The shower units provided low pressure water supply that was bordering upon dangerous should anyone else turn on a tap. The electric shower unit itself might not pass current regulations. There was no wash-up facilities leaving the camper to boil the kettle. The facilities were, in fairness, kept as clean as possible, however they were not what are expected. The site owner did comment that they were about to build a new facility block.. we did wonder how many years that had been a standard comment! This site with that investment in facilities could be one to return to, if only I knew in which year!
