A lovely peaceful site by the Ceiriog River, with both grass and hard-standing pitches and very clean facilities including a washer and drier.
It's been a favourite escape of ours for many years, to walk and cycle in the beautiful Ceiriog Valley.
A public footpath runs from the site alongside the river through National Trust woodland.
Friendly owners, Mike and Tammy, live on site and are always available to help. The free WiFi worked and the TV signal was good. One warning: there was no Vodafone signal.
Food is available at the pub in nearby Ceiriog village, which also has a Spar shop, and the excellent Tandoori restaurant in Chirk will deliver to the site.
A bus route between Llanarmon and Llangollen passes the gates.

Absolutely beautiful site with Owners that live on site, situated next to a river, with sounds very tranquil in the evenings.
Lots of room between pitches, very tidy and clean site,
Shower and toilet block is spotless. In the ladies there are 3 toilet and 1 shower and one family/disabled room, they have also built an out building with another 2 showers.
I could not get Wi-Fi on my phone Virgin/O2 but my husband did on smarty,
No TV signal either, so we bought a fire stick and used my husband’s signal and that worked.
They do have WI-FI on site but when it is busy you may not get a signal, we were also told the owners had a spear TV aerial if required,
About a mile down the road you have a pub/restaurant a village shop and a post office,

Thank you Tammy and Mike for a wonderful stay at your campsite.
We only stayed one night but I have been before and would definitely recommend it. Really glad that you were open when many other campsites were closed.
The camping field is excellent and a lovely location next to the river.
Very friendly reception and facilities are just great.

Lovely secluded site with river running through.
Village pub great for food. Nice walks from site and lots of things to see and do in location.
Owners very friendly and facilities great. Llangollen with lovely walks including the Aquaduct and castle Dinas only a short drive away. Chirk castle was amazing.
Will return

This site is one of my favourites.
The river being its best feature, only issue I have is with the site being at the bottom of the valley the site is very shaded and only has a couple of hours of sun a day.
The site is clean and the owners were very friendly and helpful

Lovely campsite within walking distance of village shop which is open long days. Very quiet and peaceful.
Very clean showers and toilets. Site is right next to the river in a beautiful steep valley, ideal for walking or cycling from campsite.
Very helpful and friendly owners.

Beautiful site, excellent facilities. Peaceful with river running through the site. Lovely river walks from the site.
Mike and Tammy are wonderful hosts.
Unfortunately it rained very heavy while we were there but still beautiful site to stay on and listen to the birds.
We apologise to Mike and Tammy for digging up some of the field as we left. Hope there wasn't too much mess left behind.
We will definitely recommend this site to others and if in the area again will visit as long as you will have us.

Lovely, peaceful site. Owners friendly and helpful. Small, modern and clean toilet block. The camping field is alongside the small river, very scenic and level.
Shops etc. are available in the nearby village, but a bit too far to walk along a road that is not ideal (fairly narrow and no pavements for most of the way). Mobile phone signal is not good.
I would go again.
