Our very first camping trip and we went here. Their own web site needs well and truly updating. There is not a pub on site - it is out of the complex and about 200 yards down the road and is a little on the expensive side especially for a family of four or more.
There is a playground which the kids enjoyed and the toilet block and showers were always immaculate with lots of hot water. A nice little laundry area and a shop are also available although the shop stocks were vastly in need of improvement. There is no indoor games room or tennis court ( unless you count the one in pickering about 5 miles away).
As a site though it is generally pleasant and we would visit again

This is a nice little site 100 yards opposite Flamingo Land. Shower block OK but seem cold all the time, but nice and clean. You are greeted when you arrive by the owner who seems not interested one little bit apart from when you get your money out to pay, having said that, if I was on here 365 days a year I would be the same I think ! We had electric hook up plus 3 kids ...1=9.....1=4......1=18 months old which we had to pay for (£16 per night). Little park for kids to play in was OK..... but could do with something a bit more for kids to do on this site, maybe a games room. Plenty of space for pitches on here and would come back again in near future.

This isn't a bad campsite - the location is ok and the facilities are pretty good (showers etc). However, my wife did moan about the showers being cold (mine were ok). Our main gripe was that the tent field was right next to the kids play area, which inevitably seemed to spill over into the tent field with games of cricket and footie. This was annoying when we were cooking our tea and felt like we had to keep looking over our shoulder for balls coming to knock over our food or beer. Reasonably priced, though

Site was nice, Good play area for kids, although they seemed to prefer playing on a large mound of earth left in middle of tent field (messy!). There was no Indoor Tennis Court or Games Room as stated on the Website and the Tariff listed on the Website was way out - £9/10 inc Hookup quoted, we were charged £15/night(very misleading!). Good family pub on site with a great Sunday Carvery. Facilities clean & free but not enough toilets or showers, plus there were no soap dispensers. TV + Mobile reception was very good. Would recommend this site but Website should be corrected.

Beautiful campsite, very flat. Owner unfriendly (unless he was taking money). Flamingoland very very close. My experience of the kids on the site wasn't a good one, 2 grown boys (from statics) threw stones at my daughter and covered her head in pop while she played down in the play area - I wasn't too pleased! Fantastic dog walking area just a large field that the dog can run wild in. The pub on the site is very nice but a little expensive if you eat there. The website for the site states indoor tennis and football but my boy couldn't find any of it, the games room at the pub only has a pool table in there so that was a little dissapointing. I don't think I would go back there simply due to the fact that we didn't feel welcome by the owner although most of the other people in tourers and statics were friendly.

March 2005 Just stayed at this site for the weekend, excellent location just across the road from Flamingo Land (we used our Tesco vouchers to pay in!) a short walk. Lovely pub on site serving home cooked food. Lots of seasonal caravans, we were put on a field at back only two other vans, unfortunately our motorhome got stuck in the mud as ground is quite soft (no hardstandings) but owner pulled us out no problem.
Only problem was the party animals who made quite a lot of noise until 4:30am, don't know where they get their energy, other than that nice site good location, would go back!

March 2005 Nice Site. Arrived late friday night and site owner even helped us set up lovely clean toilets and showers plenty of free hot water only one gripe if you could call it that £5 for a pint and gin & tonic in the bar "bit steep" but we still had plenty all in all very good very friendly site.

July 2004 We tried this campsite out on our first outing. We recently bought a tent and have not been camping for sometime. The site was really nice, just over the road from Flamingo Land. The showers and toilets were lovely and clean. We took the dog and there was a dog walk area. There is a childrens playground, shop and a pub nearby. It was £12 for tent, non electric pitch for four people.
