Just returned from a 2 night break at this site.

New owners were very nice and helped my husband put our caravan on pitch.

You can see that they are revamping site and have started doing toilet block.

We enjoyed lovely walks and the pub near the site was cosy. We have booked to go back at Easter.

Just returned from a 2 night break at this site. Although the new owners only took over in september and there is work in progress which didn't affect us in the slightest. There was a bit of noise from the road but it didn't stop us from sleeping. The site itself was lovely as was the owner the toilets/showers could do with upgraded but as we were told this is about to happen. We will be returning to this site.

Just returned from 1 night at this campsite, nice level well drained site, good views but the noise from the nearby road was for us a negative experience. Maybe in the summer when the leaves are on the trees it would be quieter. Shame because the surrounding area is interesting, good canal walk and friendly pub within walking distance, owner of site very helpful. I think rate advertised as £5 but we were charged £12 for the night.

We've recently bought a new tent, we've never been camping before (well, as adults and with kids of our own) so wanted to come somewhere local where we could try it out and see how we got on. Really glad we chose here, it was an excellent start.

David was incredibly laid back but not to the point that standards had slipped in any way. The site was well maintained, the areas for the caravans all looked lovely.

We stopped in the rally field which was pretty much empty except for 2/3 other tents and the field was huge so no stepping on any one elses toes.

As mentioned, the toilet blocks could do with a lick of paint but they were always clean & well stocked with soap & paper. We didn't use the showers so can't comment on those (we really roughed it!).

We're only from the next town along so know the area well and there is plenty to do. Lots of lovely walks, supermarkets within 15 minutes, soft play places for the kids on wet days and a good pub just up the road.

It chucked it down for most of the weekend but this hasn't put us off. The kids were able to play with the frisbee and football in the rally field (when it stopped raining) as there was no danger of hitting anything or anyone with it, the field was massive. Water taps at regular intervals around the edge. What looked like a hook up point at the top end but was being used by a caravan rally.

Can't recommend enough, David was very generous with the rates, will deffo be going back. Even though we only live down the road we could have been miles away!

 Easy peasy access.

Had a fantastic weekend here. Got a last minute pitch just pulled in it was super with box hedged hardstanding and a lovely bit of lawn conifers give shelter and privacy but plenty of sun still.

Seasonals very friendly even offered to help us push in but hubby reversed well. Try and be careful if there are satellite dishes any movement and people lose their screen just curteousy isn't it?

Ladies in reception extremely welcoming.

Walks- cross road out of site to PF along road then recross towards pub/canal lovely canal walk and pub for a pint with good beer garden. Ask to look at stalegtites in cellar we found out will do next time.

Barnoldswick is pretty shut Sundays, lovely square to sit aznd people watch.

Aldi, Matalan, Instore, Boundary Mill super shopping when it rains.

Toilets/shower clean and serviceable think david may be renovating?? washing up area.

We went to Salt Hill Quarry to look for fossils parking confusing but really beautiful views and access to river.

Waddington village was a must beautiful village with river running through sat with a picnic. Volnteers create a stunning garden.

Highly recommend this site plenty to do within half hour drive or less. Definitely go again thanks to David and 'the girls'.

Recently returned from a three night stay. David very helpful, must have read previous reviews as shower tokens discussed within the first five minutes of us arriving.

Toilet block very clean, always full of soap, hand roll and toilet roll. No problems with code/lock to get in. However block rather dated with shower temperature fluctuating dramatically and water hotter in mens (good reason to get husband to wash up!). David has plans to renovate the toilet block.

Good sized pitch. Good position.

Went with children need to note no ball games allowed but local park is within a 10 minute walk. Nice walk along canal plenty of barges to keep it interesting.

All in all would be happy to return

Friendly warden left you to it.

Very well maintained with trees and hedges to mark pitches. We were late so went on hardstanding by house which wasn't brill opposite toilet elsan and bins.

Toilets basic. Forgot to get tokens from Dave and couldn't find him so had cold over two days. Female block lock turns opposite way I thought jammed and ended up in mens on first night!

Garage 200 yds for essentials and pub up the road to Barnoldswick. Near super garden centre.

Did a nice reservoir walk. Barnoldswick shut Sunday. Looked quite nice shops.

Most pitches seasonal. Good access.

Not much to see but good for boundary mill.

7/10 vfm £12 pn.

We arrived inn the dark and david (sweet fella) suggested pitch nearest house which was facing elsan and bins and hard standing but easy to back in in the dark.

He explained code for loos but we forgot to ask for tokens ( maybe David could ask guests if they need on paying on arrival to save them disturbing him) and couldn't find him so I had a cold shower. Facilities basic but clean, I was happy with them and I'm fussy.

Very well kept grounds manicured lawns interspersed with conifers for privacy, seasonal tourers have nice views.

Out n about - did foulridge reservoir slow 2 hour walk really nice. Nice garden centre just above site. Barnoldswick shut on sundays.

Boundary mill just up road didn't go.

Instore, matalan, aldi near for supplies. Mcdonlads and kfc too for kids. Nice chippy out to earby. Indian and chinese in barnoldswick.

Garage 1/4 mile for conveniences.

7/10 value for money: £12 pn.

Just had a fab five days at this site. Cheap (£10 pn) and easygoing owners, just what I like. It was busy, so we were on the rally field, but on the side that has hookups. So good access to good hookup facilities (at least 10 amps) and good water supply. We were advised by owner just to put grey water in the hedgerow behind the van. So not far to go with th wastemaster!

Two small minus points:

1. It is alongside a busy road. Arrived at 5pm, and noticed it the first night but easily tuned it out after that.

2. Showers need tokens. So you've got to find the site owner to buy these, they give you 5 minutes timer for hot water (so no point stopping after wetting yourself while you lather up), and then the token boxes are outside the shower cubicles i.E. In sink area, not in dressing area that each shower has.

There are four toilets with sinks, 2 showers and a washing up sink in the ladies (don't know what the gents layout is). There is also a disabled loo that uses a radar key.

FYI re Webby's review, I didn't ask directly about this. However, my in-laws have used this site a few times now, and when I mentioned UKCS' previous problems, they said the booking was taken around the time the then owner (father of the current owner) passed away unexpectedly. Not an excuse, but maybe a reason for the mix up.
