June/August 2003 First impressions are not always what they seem. On approach the camp seems rather dated but we soon discovered that inside a rough skin lies a heart of gold. Clive and Sue run the site with a permanent smile. From the moment you pull on with tent, caravan or motorhome you will be made to feel at home. The site is in the natural beauty area so the outside cannot be changed from the existing but Clive and Sue have certainly put the heart into the site. We looked for the site rules but couldnt find any! The explanation was simple -Clive's rule is as long as you dont annoy or upset any other guests you are free to enjoy yourselves in your own fashion. We were so delighted that we will be leaving our unit on site all this year and visiting every free weekend even though we have a 400 mile round trip. After only a few visits we are made to feel like we're visiting family as do many others who are regulars.

August 2002 First impressions on driving in, oops had we made a mistake? NO NOT at all on meeting owner's, you couldn't wish for a nicer couple, their warm and friendly welcome continued throughout the week, and the same from they staff.
We soon found out that many of the other guest's were on return visit's and they were just as friendly. All the children looked out for each other. It was like one big family. Hadn't played rounder's in years, great fun.
The accommodation is chatlet's and camping. (We had Motorhome) There was ample toilet and shower blocks. The Camper's kitchen had full size cooker, fridge and freezer. The laundry has all your needs. The club house doubles as breakfast room, full english all home cooked, at a very reasonable price. The pool was a great hit with our little man aged 5, he was in and out all day every day (we were pitched just a few feet away).
Being sited on a cliff the views and walks are fantastic. Great for flying our kites.
The only downfall to this holiday was the cost of the ferry crossing not much change out of £100, and £12 dearer than site fees, but have since found out we can travel cheaper with night crossings
