 We visited on May Day Bank Holiday when all our regular haunts were booked up and were delighted to discover an excellent site. The site is in walking distance of Ruabon, a sizeable village with 3 pubs, a takeaway and an excellent pub/restaurant. On the edge of the Vale of Llangollen its well situated to tour that area or the Welsh/English Borderlands. The site itself has 2 camping areas, one a flat field close to the entrance and the other a larger more informal area with a lot of steep slopes. Plenty of electric hook ups. A single, well maintained shower/toilet block serves the whole site. This didnt seem over stretched - even on a bank holiday weekend. The only down side is traffic noise - the site borders onto a busy dual carriageway - but this was not too bad. All in all highly recommended.

Great site - no play area or shop - good clean toilets and showers (free). Big grass areas to play football etc.., owners really helpful.
Ruabon train station 5 - 10 min walk away for Chester (20 mins on the train). Ruabon town just a bit further on - if you are looking for good pub - try the cross foxes (10 min drive away - great food and beer)
£14 a night - bargain incl elec
