Just come back from a weeks stay. Lovely site, very clean, really helpful and pleasant owners. Views were great too. Toilet/shower blocks were always clean and tidy, did get a little busy at times but the site was full.
We had a fair amount of rain during our stay there but the ground was okay although we had a very soft spot under the tent but it didn't really matter. The sound of the nearby stream is quite soothing in an evening when you need to get to sleep.
No play area for children but there is room for a kick about. You will need a car as there is only a co-op in Dolgellau which is only 10 mins away. It is a great spot for touring mid Wales.
Would recommend and we would certainly go back there.

Just got back from here! Site was perfect! Had a lovely peaceful time. Nice family site which thankfully had no social club etc! Toilets weren't the best but who cares when you are camping, its a toilet! Showers were nice and powerful too. Def go back again!

Just returned from 3 nights stay at this site. There is not much more that we can add to the reviews that are already on here, the site is very isolated but very peaceful. There are 3 separate areas, we pitched on the first area near reception and had a huge space for our large tunnel tent. The owners are very pleasant and helpful. We had a problem with some lads playing football outside our tent and the owners quickly sorted it out. We talked to a family who have had a tourer on this site for 3 years and they have never experienced any problems with noise. There is a laundry and disabled bathroom near the reception. There is a second lot of facilities which include an outdoor washing up area, another disabled bathroom, mens loos, ladies loos and 2 showers which are mixed. The facilities are fine, just a little tatty in places and the water is hit and miss but having said that, the campsite was full and probably a little stretched. All in all, a very pleasant site in a nice, peaceful area.

Lovely site, pleasant owners, toilet facilities clean and plenty of hot water for showers and washing up. Fantastic views and plenty of space for children to play, although there isnt a play ground as such. My children took badmington rackets and a ball with them. Would certainly be visiting this site again, a car is essential for this site as the nearest supermarket is in the town itself which is about a 10 min drive.

Camped here with my wife and a friend. Campsite had excellent facilities. There were separate facilities for campers. There was always hot water for washing up and showers. We loved the fact that there were picnic benches on site. The whole site is cosy, compact and clean. The surrounding countryside is fabulous. Cadair Idris is worth a visit however I would recommend the Arans, which now have access for walkers following the Countryside Rights of Way Act. The ridge between Aran Fawddwy and Aran Benllyn is excellent. For a hill off the beaten track try Rhobell Fawr, which is within walking distance of the campsite. It is a wonderful viewpoint and you won't see another person all day. This is only the second campsite I ever went to with my wife, we have been to many since and she still tells me that this is her favourite site. Which in my opinion is the best endoursement available.

Lovely quite peaceful site and the owners are very helpful. You really need a car to get around as it is some distance from the nearby town of Dolgellau, but there are some lovely walks and views of Carder Idris. Barmouth is about 10 mins away

A superbly situated, quiet, well-maintained, good-value-for-money campsite with wonderful views. We pitched in a corner with a view of Cadair Idris. Separate fields for tents and caravans with plenty of level pitches. Very well drained - we arrived after a whole day's rain and found no problem with soggy ground. Picnic tables scattered around site which you can move to a position of your choice!
Friendly helpful owners. Walks with stunning views direct from campsite. Highly recommended.

August 2004 This is a lovely site. Very secluded and quiet, friendly owners. Price is excellent (£ 6 per night for 2 people and a tent, no extra charges for car of showers), and facilities are ample and clean. You do need a car, as this is off any main roads, and nearest shops are at Dolgellau. Ideally situated for exploring this part of Snowdonia. You should go and climb Cader Idris, it's stunning!
