I'd whole heartedly recommend this site. Very easy going owner - this is a working farm, so you catch him when you can.
I'd tried to book into another (far more expensive) Wirral caravan site and they were fully booked. Their loss, as far as I'm concerned as this is a gem of a place.
Only used the showers, which were fine by us. 2 mens and 2 womens in a portacabin. Clean and lots of hot water.
The Irby Mill pub is in walking distance. The Farmers Arms in Frankby has a good children's area and Royden Park over the road. Sainsburys and Asda close by. Small shops in Greasby
My kids had the run of the empty fields - bike riding/rounders/ football. Arrow Park (huge wooded and open areas) is a 15 min walk away- look out for the model aeroplane enthusiasts.
Wirral has loads to offer for a holiday - Chester & Liverpool close by (we parked at Hamilton Sq and took the train. ) Museums are fantastic in Liverpool. West Kirby's great - walk to Hilbre, but watch out for the tides (my husband said was a good as Devon - and from a Devonian, that's high praise). Try a cycle along the old railway line to Thurstaston. Go to Parkgate for an icecream and a bit of Dee history.
This site suited us very nicely, thank you!

Visiting Wirral for the first time. Found out that this is the only site on Wirral that takes tents!
The children loved staying on a real farm with cows and tractors to keep them entertained. Lots of room for them to play.
Plain and simple facilities, the toilets and showers were fine, looks like they have been recently done up.
Nice walks from the site into the countryside and a great pub at the end of the road.
Enjoyed our stay and the sun was shining, could no ask for more. Hope to visit again and explore more and take the bus/ferry over to Liverpool.

Spent 3 nights at this site as it was the only one in the area that was available.
On arrival there was nobody around to assist us but eventually found a farm hand who told us to park anywhere we could find.
Toilet block for ladies was cold mildewy and wash basin leaked when used making the floor very wet showers basic.
Mens toilet was a dirty damp outhouse in the corner of a field with mildew on all four walls which were also covered in spiders webs and didn't look like it had been cleaned in months.
The showers were even worse with walls covered in mildew and paint and plaster peeling off

Just spent a great weekend here with family. Facilities are basic but clean n warm. No distractions for the kids - just space to run around - which they loved.
You can walk from the site into Arrowe Country Park, and its a short drive to West Kirby for the beach.
Only downside for us was the lack of pot washing facilities - which is fine if you are in a caravan -but tricky in a tent !

Nice peaceful quiet site takes 5 vans. Facilities toilet elec hook up. Near the boat museum and Birkenhead which has a big market. Also near an Asda for your shopping. We have enjoyed numerous stays. Also near a big park for those that have young children
