We are members of the Caravan and Camping Club and booked this due to the location at Sennen Cove. We actually find out (perhaps should have done more research) that its about a ten min drive and a long walk to Sennen from the campsite.

The managers seem very pleasant and helpful but the campsite does need updating, there are only 3 male and 3 female showers for the entire site, also not many wash basins and only two private booths. There was a washing/drier facility but we did not use.

The veg prep/washing up area was way too small for the number of people on site.

There is a dog walking area which is a decent size.

Would recommend if you need to camp in this location but we do not plan to return.

Do not be fooled into thinking this site is close to the sea, it is quite a long walk through fields, some with cattle. There is a children's playground, good laundry with washers and driers.

Also the site has rotary driers outside. The managers were extremely friendly and they do have an area displaying local maps and tourist information.

There is an indoor washing up facility. Some produce can be purchased from the office, including eggs, bread, milk (and newspapers).

Everywhere was exceptionally clean despite wet weather.

 Fantastic site and beautiful location.

Entrance to the site could be tricky as it is a tight corner then through narrow gates, but if you are a member of the camping and caravan club the handbook warns you of this. Field is well drained and fairly level. Pitches were on the generous side.

Facilities include electric hookups, shower block and small shop on site. You could order fresh bread and croissants and newspapers daily.

The wardens were very helpful and nothing was too much trouble.

The shower block was kept clean.

There is a small playarea for children mainly suited for younger ones but on the plus side there was a field where ball games are allowed.

It is possible to walk to sennen cove from the site although we didn't as our children would have moaned all the way back as it is a climb up!

It was very windy when we stayed and infact the winds were up to 45/50mph one night so plenty of pegs for awnings would be advisable as well as storm straps ( we ended up using two).

One nice touch is a fish and chip van visits twice a week and they were the best fish and chips I have ever tasted!

Would we return? Most definitely!

As others have commented can get windy here as it is basically an open field but this doesn't detract it from being a well run, clean campsite with spacious pitches. Sennen Cove can be walked to in about 45 mins. Although the walk back can be steep,an alternative is to catch the bus back, last one 19:55. An open top bus also stops outside the campsite entrance every two hours in each direction. Not much to do during inclement weather,St Just the local village has a supermarket, cash machine and four pubs, three of which do food. In the other direction there is a pub at Sennen Cove and Sennen village, both do food. The coastal path is nearby and gives stunning views.

This site is a gem. Its well run, the facilities are clean, its a short drive to sennen cove with its white sandy beach and its on the coast road to St Ives which has been voted as one of the most scenic roads in Britain (its lovely). Nearby St Just's has a couple of high quality craft shops well worth a visit and the coffee and carrot cake at Jasmins Deli is the best we have tasted.

The site is very exposed. We had to put the top down on our campervan on one night as the wind was so extreme and the rain was almost vertical (in July!). Our awning had rock pegs in and apparently was rescued from blowing down by our neighbouring campers whilst we were out! However the Atlantic winds are warm and we will definitely return as the whole area is magical and this site is a good, well run base to see everything.

Nice site, location near Sennen beach which is great. Good cafe/restaurant on the beach. Surfing great in the right conditions. The campsite and the beach can get very busy mid summer. When we were there it poured with rain and we had quite a lot of fun getting our camper van out of the field. As it was so busy we were not in the main site but in another field close by which was on a bit of a slope.

Friendly service, would definitely go again.

We stayed here for a week during the bad weather. We arrived late and the staff were very helpful and sympathetic. All in all we thought it was a great site, well 'manicured', quiet, lovely views and a true sense that you were in the middle of the countryside.
Obviously the weather spoiled our week but we made the best of it. St Ives is a lovely place with plenty to do for the kids and the Dr Who exhibition, amonst the other attractions, at Lands End was well worth a visit. The first few days we travelled the 8 miles to Penzance for provisions before we discovered an adequate store just round the corner at Sennen.
Sennen Cove is great for the kids if they like bodyboarding. Gets a bit busy though and it's not great sand for the toddlers. Back to the camp site and every few days the 'Strawbwrry Man' visits selling his fresh produce which was a nice touch.
Toilet & Shower facilities were exellent. Downside was that there wasn't a great deal to do for the kids. There is a small playground but more for the toddlers really. Make sure you take plenty of DVD's in case the weather is bad and your'e 'cooped' up inside for a bit. Other than that I would highly recommend this place if your'e looking for a quiet, small site surrounded by countryside.

Stayed here over half term.  Nice site all in one field, level with good drainage, which we needed with the strong winds and rain that hit us on the second night.

This site is fairly exposed to the elements so beware if there's heavy weather forecast.

The site wardens were very helpful and run a very clean and tidy site.  The hygiene facilities were very good, but may prove inadequate in high season.

My only gripe was that we we not allowed to play ball games by the caravan - just in case the ball hit another van.  I thought this was petty seeing as the site was only about 1/4 full and I was playing ball with my 6 year old son - hardly likely to damage anything! There is a field for ball games but it's not suitable as its long and thin with brambles one side and a fenced off field the other.

Beaches are lovely.  Theres Sennen by car and Gwenver which you can walk to.  Porthcurno, Cape Cornwall and Men-an-tol are also worth a visit.

This is my first review on this site and will probably be one of my best. This site is lovely! Having seen some of the sites in the nearby area we were really glad we stayed on this CC club site as other sites had tents packed into the site like sardines with guy ropes touching and no space to move. Because of the 6 metre rule we had lots of space. Toilet block was kept immaculate- even in the height of August- and I am very fussy. Views on the site are good too- with views towards the sea on the far end of the site. The site is about 4 miles away from Lands End- not far, and about 8 miles away from Penzance where you will find the nearest Large supermarket- Tescos and Morrisons. Pizza night on a Thursday is a must- really great pizzas, and a night off of cooking. Only two down sides to the site- although don't let this stop you-
The wind- Really windy site, at times I thought we were going to be homeless- pack extra guy ropes/ rock pegs to keep the tent on the ground, and ask for one of the more sheltered spots by the hedge.
The walk to the beach- The nearest beach at Sennen is a bit of a walk through fields ( details on info board at reception )- although this is nothing when faced with the steep downhill climb to the cove itself. Those with families with young children may prefer to drive into Sennen and park up- much easier. I can highly recommend the Beach at Portcurno- much prettier and less busy.

A lovely site, nice and flat. The facilities are excellent.
We were allowed to use the disabled bathroom as a Parent and child room which was very handy with two young children. The wardens were very friendly. The pizza van visited whilst we were there and the pizza and garlic bread was fantastic. Sennen cove is quite close by and the beach is great. The only thing is at night the mist does come in quickly so make sure you take your chairs in. A chip van and a butcher also visit the site on different days. There is a little playground with swing and slide that keeps the littlies happy.
