A lovely site with very friendly dogs and owners.

Easy to find and checked in with no problems.

Unfortunately we were right next to the chicken pen so the cockerel (as beautiful as he was) woke us up rather early but the fresh eggs were amazing.

The bar was good and the beer was cheap and we found the long-term people staying there to be very friendly.

The dogs are also friendly but unfortunately our tent got ripped whilst we were there and we're still not sure if it was the dogs or another wild animal.

Otherwise an excellent stay and we'll be sure to visit again.

This is a lovely, friendly site with natural hedgerows and fruit trees on the field. The owners have 2 large aged dogs and my daughter adored them. There are also 2 chickens who give the most amazing fresh eggs. Plus one cockerel who greets the dawn at about 5am each morning.

The facilities are good - 3 wet room showers with loos. The only down side is that if someone has just had a shower, the whole loo is wet (damp trouser bottoms.)

There's also a small bar which sometimes has entertainment, although not when we were there. Local shops are within walking distance, and there is access to the beach nearby - rocky and a bit scummy, but OK for the kids to go 'crabbing'.

For larger facilities, and historical sites etc a trip into nearby Rochester, Strood or Chatham is very easy.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there and will be going back again for a couple of days later in the summer.

Lovely place and a great Bar.

Peaceful place to camp with great showers.

Its just great having a bar and TV on the site.

Two lovely well trained dogs roam free and they are so cute, and didn't bother my little dog one bit.Lovely chickens to look at, and the cock will wake you around 4 am.

Children's play area, but no children when we were there so was great, good washing up area and washing machine and tumble dryer. We have booked a return.

Shabby small, uneven field. No boundaries for pitches. Dog mess on grass. Grass not cut in between resident vans. Cable trailed across road as no points near to vans.

Old scruffy vans round edge of field for male power station workers. 'Wet rooms' were used by the men going to work at the power stations early in the morning, and were left in dirty state, everything wet, no soap, shaving bits round sinks.

Cars leaving site early with workers. Not very lively as no one there during day.

Feels more like a residential park. Would not return.

What a lovely little site! The owners Paul & Alison are really friendly & helpful, nothing is too much bother. The dogs mentioned previously are very large but very friendly & will leave you if you tell them to, we didn't have any problems with them or their poo!

The showers are lovely, very modern wet room style. Only downside is there is only 3 & the loo is in the same room, so you could potentially have to wait, although we didn't have to queue & the site was full over the busy bank holiday.

There is no play area, but we didn't miss it, there were lots of children around & the owner has children too. Most of the children played on the large grassy areas, ours made lots of friends & played happily all weekend!

There is a small bar, containing fruit machine, & huge plasma screen tv! You can also buy fresh eggs laid buy the chickens & when we stayed they took orders for punnets of strawberries from a local farm (they were the best we'v had so far). They went to a lot of trouble & had organised a singer for saturday night & barbeque sunday & quiz & encouraged people to join in.

Locally there really isn't much in walking distance, as you look out from the site all you can see is the country side.

On the whole this a well kept relaxed site, with very friendly owners & campers. We will definitely be returning I just hope its soon!

Spent 10 days here was OK, but it states that there are many facilites on here and the only thing that it has are 3 good showers, 1 washing machine and a sink n kettle, no tumble drier and not allowed to put your own washing line up! The dogs that live there like to roam around they are friendly but being big they do tend to leave rather horse like poos around and will rip your bins open given the chance, not somewhere I think I will be returning too.

We visited the Site for 2 days and nights, we found the Owner very helpful, a genuinely nice guy with lots of ideas for the site, however there were a couple of issues we came across

We arrived in the rain and found that there was no one there to great us, so we had no idea what pitch we were supposed to be on.

After we picked a pitch we found that the Electric hook-ups were shared by way of a splitter which did not give us the full power we normally have at other sites.

It took 10 minutes to get the electric working in the van in the pouring down rain, the owner had gone out was not in to assist.

I came across a lot of dogs mess around the van and other parts of the sites.

There were no lights on the site for night time.

The showers were very fancy, like a wet room bathroom, however I presumed by the Mop that you had to clean out the shower yourself, which some people didn't as the sinks were rather grubby, also there were only 1 Toilet each for the Men and Woman.

There was a Great Dane running freely around the park which is not good when I have a Son of 4 running to his Nan and Grandads

We visited this site for the weekend, as it was our first trip out with our folding camper, and we wanted somewhere relatively local, and after reading the reviews on here, we thought we'd give this site a try - WOW.  we will be returning.   soon

The whole site feels relaxed,  the owner walked across to meet us on arrival, showed us which pitches were available,  came back later to check all was ok,  and he managed to get our electrics working for us, when we had just about given up!  the site itself is in an orchard, with hedges most of the way round, so its very quiet  secluded, and sheltered,

What a lovely, quiet, well thought out, well maintained site, just as the previous reviews say.  the toilets, showers etc are exceptional, with quiet music playing and extremely clean, the shower rooms are free,  and were never busy,  with toilets in the showers and separate ones at the other end of the cabin style building, and theres also a washing up room,  again it was amazingly clean,

The shops pubs beach etc are all close by, but not on site, this is definitely a get away from it all quiet site - just what we were looking for,

We would highly recommend this site, if youre after peace and quiet

This is a wonderful site. We only stayed there for a weekend but was made to feel very welcome. Paul the owner is so friendly and really helpful. The site is very clean and tidy. The showers are superb.
The pub, local shops and beach are all within walking distance.
We hope to return very soon.

Have now visited this site twice and am going back again in a couple of weeks time. The facilities are superb, I have never seen showers like these in a campsite they are more like show home bathrooms. You clean up after yourself with mops and buckets that are provided and this is done religiously as I think no-one wants to leave such beautiful facilities less than sparkly. The toilets, showers and washing up area is in a log cabin like structure and so if the weather is bad you don't get soaked.
The surrounding area is really beautiful and it is only a short walk into the small village which has a convenience store, chippie and off licence. The closest pub (5 mins walk) is closing down to make way for flats but there is another one about 10 mins further walk away.
I would recommend this site to anyone who wants a truly relaxing, doing nothing weekend. Do keep an eye out for the dogs, they can smell food a mile off but the owner does tell you on arrival that all you have to do is tell them to move along. They are really placid and friendly and make for a good photo. The owner is a very pleasant friendly man and nothing seems to be too much bother for him.
