What an impressive driveway! caravan site at the side of the hall,
Arrived on site after 2 weeks away from home with only their phone number and no staff to instruct you where you need to be going,
Found allotted pitch but discovered it fair to small for a twin axle caravan and then the fun and games started or contacting the staff, waited an hr for them to return our phone call to be told the info we needed was inside the toilet block along with the access code for said toilet block!
Only grass pitches available? the ground is very soft and grass excessively long despite just being cut.
Couldn't visit the gardens due to having dogs which aren't allowed.
Toilet block was luxurious wifi signal was weak at best (50 meters from toilet block)
£25 a night seemed excessive for what there actually was to do there as the car was needed as too far from anywhere to walk

What a wonderful arrival drive with views towards the Hall and lake.
Well maintained site with grass and hard standing pitches. Excellent facilities block.
Free access to gardens until 7. 00 pm. No children's playground.

Spacious hard standing pitches in parkland with the best toilet block we have used. It appears that the site is rarely busy and you get a real feel of being camped in the countryside. It is a quiet location set to the side of the hall and well away from road noise. WiFi is included in the price but you need a pitch near the toilet block to pick it up.
Campers get access to the gardens and a substantial discount to the house entry price. The house is only open on Sunday and Monday but well worth a visit.
I can't understand why it is not much more popular. The price is similar to Caravan Club or Camping and Caravan Club sites but WiFi is free.
It is a good base for the area which includes Godrel Bank.
Certainly will return

This site is set in the grounds of a mansion. When we stayed there were at the most 6 other caravans on the site.
We didn't see site wardens as your pitch and information is left for you in the amenity block. The toilets are excellent with showers and changing areas.
There are washing machines and driers also in the amenity block. The grounds are open to the campers and are beautiful to walk around.
The hall is open to the public 2 days a week. There are no shops or pubs in walking distance but a short drive away you will find plenty.
A good point for visiting Jodrell Bank which you can see from the site. Will definitely visit again.

This is a lovely site and although it was a Bank Holiday it wasn't full and certainly not cramped. Washroom, showers etc were the best I have seen, modern, warm, lots of hot water. The grounds of the hall which we were allowed to walk in are stunning. Nearby is Congleton and Knutsford which are quaint. You can see Jodrell Bank from the site. National Trust properties Tatton Park and Biddulph Grange not far away.
The Wi Fi didn't work well unless standing near the facilities but the phone signal on EE was ok. Would definitely come back.

Beautiful site a hidden gem. Hardly any other units on which added to the peace though can't understand why it has not been discovered by more. Excellent toilet block, wifi code did not work but that did not matter to us
Lovely woodland walk and lovely view from our motor home. Spotlessly maintained and lovely staff who will let you come early and leave later as long as they are not busy. This more than makes up for the 25. 00 per night charge

What a gem of a site. Beautiful, peaceful location. Great pitches laid out well. Toilet block excellent, spotless at all times of the day. In the grounds of a manor house which has wonderful woodland walks and cafe in the manor house that opens occasionally.
No playground for children, but lots of open space and lovely grounds to explore.
Lots of places to visit in the area and lovely villages close by.

Fabulous setting for this site with excellent shower block. Wifi included traveled to our pitch which was not near the utilities. Ideal site for a quiet restful day or two.

We stayed for 5 nights up to closure of the site on 31st October. If you want a site a little different from the norm, this could be for you. The pitches are fairly level and well spaced out. The facilities block is new, warm and clean. The site's 'usp' is its setting in the grounds of a gothic mansion house. The grounds are lovely and for most of the time you have them to yourself - public only allowed in two days per week. The site is fairly rural so not good if you want to walk to pub or shop. There are many attractions nearby - Lyme Park, Tatton Park, Jodrell Bank, Knutsford to name but a few.
Note for Corrie fans - Capesthorne was the setting for a wedding featured early November.

We visited this site on 26/27th July and were blessed with excellent weather. Beautiful campsite nicely laid out and well maintained. A little more expensive than we usually pay at £25. 00 per night but worth every penny of it. The grounds are amazing and we were lucky to have arrived on a weekend with a wedding taking place and treated to an super display of fireworks and also it was the weekend of a classic car show which all added up to a fabulous weekend break. We visited the house and found it wonderful. The utility block was modern and spotless. We could not find any fault with this site and will return and would recommend.
