Stayed here for one night on the way down to Longleat. We had a fabulous time. Friendly and welcoming. Quite busy, but had a lovely atmosphere. Kids and families playing cricket and rounders together. Kids (age 5 and 2) loved the small animals, open space and the friendly and very energetic dog. Toilets and shower spotlessly clean. Information leaflets about surrounding area available. Fresh eggs for breakfast were yummy. Owners friendly, lovely little site - would certainly return.

This site is fantastic with great hosts. We pitched up in a field that was looking out on to more fields. At the base was a little lake that ran through which the kids had great fun floating there sticks in. The toilet and shower block was clean and very well kept. We went for a 3 night stay. The first thing that hit you was the fact that down the road was the hussle and bustle of city life with plenty of areas to visit but where you were it was like being in the center of the country side. Situated across from the famous louella stud farm the amount of horses there were amazing. A very friendly dog on the site was always willing to play and keep the kids amused for hours on end along with the endless bunnies and chickens oh and dont forget the ponies goats parrot the kids were amazed. We visited long eaton park which was a great day out and best of all it was free. We also went to conkers a ten minute drive away that was fantastic for all. We tryed out the local Chinese which was lovely wok express well worth a try. There was a mac donolds kfc the local parks were great fun for the kids this is a new park only up and running for the past 3 years and is great value for money it was very relaxing and highly enjoyable I would strongly recommend this site. What I think would improve the site is a small park area on site parents came back relaxed and the kids had a fantastic time will definitely be going back in the future for many more enjoyable holidays to come .

This is a small and very friendly site. We stayed 2 nights at a weekend with friends and thoroughly enjoyed the stay. The farm animals and owners young cocker spaniel kept the children happy and toilets and shower were spotless.
The only comment to make is that the washing up sink is VERY alfresco - fine as it was a nice weekend, probably not so good if weather was as bad as it has been at times this year! Also there is only cold water to wash up in - not good for cleaning greasy pots etc.
Thoroughly enjoyed this site and would definitely go again.

This is a very nice farm site, the family running the site are very friendly and helpful, on our arrival both Mr and Mrs Evans came over to meet us and tell us about the site. They told us that if we needed anything then to call them any time of the day and night. The facilities are finished to a very good standard, there is a shower block with two separate rooms containing a shower, toilet and sink each, (the finishing touches to the second room were being applied during our visit and will be finished before bank holiday weekend). There is also a separate area at the top of the field with another toilet, outside pots and pans sink and waste disposal area. The field itself is small and cosy and well shielded from the elements. There are a small number of hard standings for vans with electric hookups. The owners home is next to the field so they are easy to get in contact with. The farm has a small number of pet animals including chickens, rabbits, miniature ponies and two goats called Billy and Joe, who entertained my 3 year old daughter with their playful antics. We were told to wander round and explore the farm at our leisure and feed the animals. Around the site is a brook and fields to explore. Next time I will bring my OS maps to explore further. Locally, there is the village of Hugglescote with local shops, there is also a 24Hr garage a short distance from the site that sell Calor and Butane gas, bread, milk, tea, coffee etc. Nearby there is the beautiful walking area of Bradgate park. Also there is an adventure park for kids called "Conkers". If you want to go towards Leicester city, there is the National Space Centre. We are from the Leicester area and were using the site to try out the newly acquired caravan and do battle with the awning! All things considered, this is a very friendly, welcoming site which is great for young families because of the animals and the 'explore' potential, the facilities are very good and more than adequate for the amount of caravans they can accommodate, and it's quiet. The only criticism would be to tidy up the approach road to the field. it looked a bit scruffy and you also drive through the caravan storage area, which at this time of year was almost full of stored caravans, however this is probably only due to the time of year. Don't judge this book by its cover! TOP TIPS; 1. Close to J22 M1, therefore good for overnight stops. 2. Try the eggs! 3. Spice and Rice Indian Restaurant in Swannington, very very good and child friendly! (read the press cuttings on the wall, they do a unique takeaway service for musicians) 4. Flying Horse Chinese takeaway and restaurant , very good (all the eating out was only due to the cold weather)! 5. A good site for family time with young children.

What a lovely place, the owners are very nice. We went as a party of 3 units 6 adults and 3 children. The adults found the site to be quiet and relaxing, the children had fun and enjoyed exploring the fields, stream and looking at the pet rabbits, goats and new born foal. The toilet was clean. The only down side was a lack of a shower, but a new shower and toilet block are being built and should be ready soon. We are all going back in the next few week as we enjoyed out stay. Ps Try some of the bantam eggs if available.

We have just had a very good 3 days at this site. It is set in a beautiful field the next field there is a stream and you can loose yourself for an hour or more walking in the peaceful surrounding areas. The owners are very friendly and fresh eggs are available. They were six caravans in our party and we have booked to return again in September. Well though a visit.
