Nice relaxed quiet site. Close to Slapton Sands naturist beach. 40 mins walk down bridleway.
Kate (owner) was very friendly and helpful with suggestions of things to do and beaches in area. Elevated fire pits allowed and bbq's. Space for games too.
Electric hook ups and water taps are plentiful. Hot showers, toilets and kitchen available too. Black water disposal for vans.

We had a fabulous week in the june heatwave, the naturist site was well attended with 20 units occupied while the textile site had less that 5 units occupied. Naturist regulars are very friendly and so is the owner Kate Gill
Yes the facilities are limited but the prices was £6 per person ( Dog as free) in June ) The showers have been refurbished and the are toilets clean ( bring loo roll and soap) Don't expect a TV room of Bar, this is a farm, it has a full kitchen and free fridge and cold freezer The washing machine is £3 but we had no need of that. Local shop opens every days for bread, milk and basic. But the pub was closed until july high season that the local restaurant opens Wednesday to Saturday (you need to book it though)

Just had a lovely couple of days at Manor Farm Camping in Strete (just above Slapton Sands Naturist beach. ) It's a long walk to the beach but do-able on a good path. The campsite itself is unique (I think) in having both textile and naturist areas, separated only by a low fence. The naturist field slopes gently towards the sea, so upper pitches have a wonderful sea view. Level enough for campers, and very firm grass, so no problem getting stuck (our nightmare). Plenty of electric hook-ups (I counted 20) and water points too. The downside is that the facilities are in the textile part, and are by today's standards very run-down, A kitchen area with cooker, three sinks and some freezers for communal use. Laundry facilities (coin meter). 4 showers (coin operated) and 4 loos - all very old-fashioned and basic. No toilet rolls. I must say we love the campsite anyway (Mrs Gill in her old Volvo makes you very welcome) and prices are reasonable. Very much worth supporting as it's a great location.

We've camped at Manor Farm on countless occasions and have always enjoyed our stay. Yes I agree the facilities could be improved but they are quite adequate and reflect the prices that Kate charges. My only gripe is having to dress to go and have a shower but its not really a problem. The atmosphere is very relaxing and the regular visitors are always friendly. It can get quite noisy when big groups descend on the site and stay up half the night laughing and drinking, which fortunately only happens once a year. 'You know who you are'.
I'd highly recommend it, especially for people who are new to naturism as there's no pressure to be naked all of the time. The beach at Slapton sands is a short walk or an even quicker bus ride if you're lazy like me. There's also a small village shop with post office down the road or Supermarkets 15 minutes driving away in Dartmouth.
Give it a try I'm sure you'll enjoy it.

Referring to the comments in previous years about the length of the grass we have found this year that the grass is being kept under control and it being collected instead of left on the field. It's much better and tidier than last year. We've been coming here for over 12 years and it's still as peaceful and relaxing as ever.

Well, that was a bit different.
First I should say we enjoyed our week at Manor Farm, so the few criticisms I have should hopefully illustrate how much the positive really outweigh the er. Odd eccentricity here or there.
On arriving we were able to pitch up with a fairly free choice, and Kate welcomed us later when doing her evening rounds in the Volvo. From start to end she was very friendly, and set a pleasant tone for the whole of our stay (which potentially could have lasted until 7pm on the day of leaving). Plenty of families and mixed groups also made for a nice atmosphere.
The wash/shower/toilet facilities are perfectly usable, not grotty per se, let's call it rustic, and are cleaner and better kept than they seem on first impressions. As has been said, it's imperative you remember to take loo roll. Pot-washing, cooking and fridge/freezer facilities again of a similar style - while not new or gleaming, they are more than suitable for most needs. In the same barn there was a games room which seemed little used during our visit, quite probably due to the stained sofas, which gave it the feel of a faded area that was once house to a lot more fun than it is now. I understand Kate may refresh some of the furniture in there, which would be a good move. The TV room next door while much smaller, and much much more cosy, and looked like a good retreat for those campers who don't get on so well with wet or cold weather.
Lastly, on the facilities themselves I must urge a note of caution that the hot water taps must be the hottest this side of Hades, just utterly unfathomably hot, and a possible hazard to the unwary.
As for the location - it is great - quiet, peaceful, and very handy for access to Blackpool or Slapton Sands, and the Devon/Dartmoor interior. Corner shops are nearby in the local villages, and the nearest supermarket is easily found on the big roundabout just up the coast at Dartmouth.
A tip I must pass on for naturists in tents is to use the lower field behind the hedge, where shelter from prevailing westerlies is a little better, although wherever you pick be prepared that the slope is relatively steep wherever you pitch.
This site will certainly be in our thoughts for our next holiday in Devon.

I had contacted Kate before visiting the site informing her that I wanted to stay in naturist part and have electric hook up and she said this was available. I arrived, found the naturist section behind the wooden picket fence and a spot to park with hook up. The facilities have not really changed from what other posted have said, still need to have your own loo roll. The walk from the naturist section (once you have put something on) to toilet and kitchen block is a couple of hundred yards which was ok. Most of non-naturist tend to camp nearer the amenities, so does not seem to be any issues with its mixed use. Kate still has the same Volvo and drives around to check for new arrivals. A relaxed friendly site, a change from the more commercial operations and certainly worth visiting again.

We stayed at this site at short notice taking advantage of a few days of good weather. As we hadn't stayed here before, we weren't sure what to expect. Although this site is listed as Naturist, it caters for both naturist and clothed in separate areas. Naturists use a smaller field separated by a picket fence from the main field (so it is possible for non-naturists to see naked people), and there is a smaller, more secluded, field for naturists to use also.
We wanted to use the naturist facility and wanted a more relaxed, non-commercial style of camping.
There are 10 electric hookups (in the naturist section) and these are allocated on a first-come, first served basis. It is advisable to let the owner, Kate, know in advance if you need one of these, just to check that she has one available.
We arrived on a weekday at 3pm when no-one was around. After a short search of the area and a quick phone call to the owner (which wasn't answered), we decided to pitch up anyway. A bit later, Kate turned up in her Volvo - she is a very nice lady. She asked how long we were staying and worked out the cost - we had to pay cash as cards are not taken.
It would have been a help if there was a notice by the main gate advising you what to do in the event that no-one is around when you arrive.
We went to the unisex toilet block and our first impressions were not good (like other reviewers). There was no loo roll provided - there are 4 small cubicles, with small handwash only basins, and an assortment of cobwebs. The 4 showers are coin operated (£1) electric. One shower takes 50p and we managed to have a shower (two of us) with 50p in 5 minutes. Just be warned that as soon as you put the coins in, the shower operates, so make sure you are undressed and ready to go! In summary, the toilets/showers badly need upgrading, but if you are willing to put up with basic toiletry facilities then don't let that put you off.
The nearest shop (for loo roll) is in Strete just down the lane (about 5 minutes walk) - quite a well-stocked village store.
Slapton Sands (not really sand but 2-3mm grit sand) is down the road about 1 mile. You can walk it, but the roads are narrow and the walk back would be uphill. We elected to drive the car to the Car Park (Strete gate). The car park is Pay and Display (£4 for 4 hours, £6. 50 all day). You need cash for this too so make sure you have coins, and arrive early as the car park fills up on popular days.
A short walk (1/4 mile) north on the beach will take you to the (unofficial) naturist section of the beach. If you go to the beach, make sure you wear trainers or other stout shoes as the grit and small pebbles can be painful to walk on if the stones get trapped under your feet if wearing sandals.
Dartmouth is a 10 minutes drive away past Blackpool Sands and through the village of Stoke Fleming - just watch the narrow roads. We can recommend the Station Restaurant in Dartmouth by the Kingswear ferry point for cod and chips - the beer battered cod is delicious and you can watch the passenger ferry coming and going to Kingswear on the other side of the river. This restaurant is not posh nosh - just good honest food at reasonable prices. The jetties here are great for kids if they enjoy crabbing.
Back to the site - we did talk to Kate at the end of our stay. She apologised for the relatively un-mown state of the grass, but this is put down to the wet weather we had been having.
There is no pressure to get off the site quickly in the morning, unlike more commercial sites where you have to be off by 10am. So we packed up at our leisure, naked in the sun, and were off by 3pm.
We thoroughly enjoyed this site and will be back again. 10/10 for relaxation and laid-back camping, with free use of freezer, TV and anything in the 'information' room. Perhaps 4/10 for toilet and shower facilities.

I'm a single female camper, not a naturist but was happy to camp in the main section. However, on arrival there was no-one around so proceeded to pitch near the fence separating the naturist section, next to a caravan. Kate then arrived and told me I could not pitch there as I might upset the naturists. Perhaps some sort of instructions where you can and cannot pitch would have been useful.
The main field is very open, with sea views, the best shelter was where the EHU's were, but as I did not need EHU I could not pitch there. Opted for a spot at the top of the field near the building but that afforded no shelter from the wind.
Found facilities very old, tired, cramped, not very clean and often smelly, as they are unisex there was often urine on toilet seats, toilet paper not provided, no soap or paper towels. Showers were £1. Nice idea with the kitchen which had fridge, freezer, cooker, microwave, washing machine, washing up facilities.
TV a nice touch but there was no remote control and there was no way to change channels. Indoor recreation area great idea for children/teenagers.
Regarding prices, the website stated one amount, when I emailed for confirmation I was told a higher amount and when I arrived I was told yet an even higher amount, the emailed price was eventually paid, but in view of strengthening winds and unhygienic facilities left after 3 days.
Fabulous area for walking and site well placed. Super beaches within a short drive. Thoroughly recommend the area. Think the site is ideal for caravans and campervans with their own toilets and showers, but not for tents.

As naturists we use this site due to its proximity to Pilchards Cove nude beach. As will be clear from the other reviews the naturists co-exist with the textile part of the camp, which is unusual, though not unique. It is a bore to dress to go to the shower block but not too much so given the lovely views and the other advantages of the place. The local shop isn't as good as it was in years gone by (it is a few years prior that we first came there) and the route to the place is down some very narrow roads - but hey, this is Devon!
Kate has great plans to expand the facilities and will be living in situ.
